“Trisha said she’s inviting Dr. Ledford for dinner this week. You’re familiar with Dr. Ledford. Can you ask him what he likes to eat? Trisha and I can go buy it.”
Nicolas was surprised, “When did this happen? How come I didn’t know?”
“Didn’t Trisha tell you?” Celeste said nonchalantly, “Dr. Ledford introduced her new job. Once she completes her medical examination, it’s settled. She definitely needs to thank Dr. Ledford for his help.”
Nicolas’s face darkened as he asked, “Jace Ledford found her job?”
Celeste nodded, then asked with some confusion, “Why do you look like you don’t know anything? Don’t you talk about these things when you’re dating?”
She originally wanted Nicolas to also experience the difficulties of dating, but this guy didn’t even know that Dr. Ledford had introduced Trisha’s job.
Trisha loved to share. How could she not share this with her boyfriend?
Nicolas didn’t care if Celeste doubted him at that moment. All he could think of was Trisha staring at her phone and laughing when th home. She told him she was notified of her employment and when to go for her medical examination.
He thought she was happy because of the new job, but now he realized it must have been because Jace replied to her message that she was so happy!
“Has she been in contact with Jace recently?”
Celeste glanced at him, “I don’t know.”
After saying that, she added, “People you used to like, you probably wouldn’t suddenly lose contact with them, especially since he’s still helping Trisha.”
Nicolas’s face turned even darker.
Celeste took a glass of cucumber juice from the waiter and handed it to Nicolas, “It’s just normal contact, don’t overthink it. Trisha is your girlfriend now. What do you have to worry about? Here, replenish some vitamins.”
Even though she said that, he wasn’t really her boyfriend now!
Nicolas wanted to say something, but when he looked up and saw the green cucumber juice, it seemed to be mocking him, and his face turned
even darker.

The receptionist was taken aback, quickly unfolded the flyer, flipped it over, and found nothing but the ten–dollar bill!
Just a ten–dollar bill in this big gift box? And it was given in both their names?!
What were they arguing and fussing about earlier then?
The receptionist, who’d been keeping accounts at various weddings and birthday parties in J City for years, was shocked. No one in J City had given such a small amount as a gift ten years ago. This really changed his perception.
Liam quickly found Celeste and brought her two cups of orange juice.
Celeste glanced at him but didn’t take it.
Liam didn’t seem to care whether his actions bothered others and pulled out a chair next to Celeste and sat down.
Celeste was clearly not pleased, but possibly because of the crowd, and she didn’t say anything.
Liam slid a gift box from under the table.
Celeste glanced at it, “What are you doing?”
Liam asked quietly. “Didn’t you say to save my heart for the future Mrs. Reed?”
