Nicolas leaned in, smiling. “How is it, pretty?”
Trisha was immediately appeased. She glared at Nicolas and said quietly. “You sure know how to sweet talk!”
Nicolas smiled and handed her a tissue, “I really did adopt a cat, it’s just a month old. It’s coming home tomorrow, so you’ll be able to meet it then.”
“It’s coming home tomorrow? Have you prepared the cat supplies?”
Nicolas was taken aback, “What else do I need to prepare?”
“Didn’t you do any research? A month–old kitten needs milk powder and a cat toilet. Are you planning to let it pee and poop on your bed?” Trisha was a bit angry. “You didn’t prepare anything and just adopted it?”
Nicolas replied calmly. “I just thought it was cute and wanted to adopt it. I didn’t think too much about it.”
Trisha was not happy with this kind of adopter, “I just can’t with you. I’ll go with you to buy pet supplies tomorrow.”
Nicolas gave a slight smile, “Won’t that be a bother to you?”
Trisha shot him a disgruntled look, “Can’t let the kitty be stuck with such an irresponsible owner like you!”
As they were talking. Trisha saw Angel rushing out of the hospital through the car window.
She quickly nudged Nicolas, “Angel’s out”
The moment Angel stepped out, she hailed a taxi and left.
Nicolas immediately followed in his car.
After the taxi dropped Angel home, it left.
To avoid being noticed by Angel, Nicolas maintained a certain distance. The two waited in the car for a while, then saw a black BMW pass by. Trisha recognized it at a glance, “That’s Shawn’s car, Letti used to pick me up in this car.”
