Chapter 353

Sean winced, covering the bruise on his face, and mumbled, “It’s just a bad makeup reaction, I’m allergic.” He regretted buying that cheap foundation; it would come off as soon as he’d sweat.

Celeste frowned; she wasn’t blind, that was obviously a punch mark!

She asked seriously. “Was it someone here who hit you?”

“No.”

“Then who did?”

“I told you, it’s not from being hit, it’s an allergic reaction!”

Seeing that he wouldn’t admit it, Celeste threatened to call the head of the orphanage, a dirty trick but effective.

Sure enough, as soon as Sean heard she’d call the headmaster, he confessed

“It was just a fight with a classmate,” he said anxiously, “Now give me back my money!”

“I but I’m taking you back to school now”

Hearing this, Sean’s face immediately turned cold, “I’m not going”

From his expression, Celeste knew there was more to the story. “How many days have you skipped school?”

Sean replied, “I dropped out.”

Upon hearing this, Celeste’s anger flared up, “How old are you? What can you do if you don’t go to school?”

Sean seemed very irritated and resistant to this topic, gritting his teeth, “It’s my life, my path, and I don’t need you to tell me what to do!” Celeste was furious, “So I should just let you ruin your life? Look at yourself, your face is painted like a ghost. Is this the path you chose?” Sean stubbornly replied, “Anyway, it’s none of your business!”

Just as Celeste was about to blow up, Liam stepped in. “It’s too late today, and I doubt there’d be anyone at school even if you took him there

“What do you suggest?”

“Tomorrow is Monday, right? Teachers should be there, and you can take him to find out more about the situation.”

Celeste thought about it and agreed It was unclear what was going on with Sean, and without solving the root problem, he’d find a way to run away even if she took him back to school

“Fine, we’ll go tomorrow. You’ll stay at my place tonight, and if you dare to run away, you can forget about getting your money back. I’ll also tell the headmaster about your situation!”

Sean was afraid, annoyed, and helpless.

Most of the children in the orphanage had disabilities, and the healthy ones were usually adopted. Sean was one of the few physically healthy children there. He was introverted and stubborn, not as energetic as other kids at his age, and had trouble fitting in when he first arrived.

It was the headmaster’s tireless guidance and influence that helped him. Though he had a bad temper, he would immediately behave well when the headmaster was mentioned.

Celeste called Trisha and asked her to come home with Owen later. She then left with Sean and Liam.

What a coincidence! They ran into Angel as soon as they left the elevator.

She was followed by two employees pushing a cart loaded with drinks.

Seeing Liam, she said in surprise, “Liam, Celeste, there’s still a second round of performances, are you leaving so soon? We’ve prepared many more shows.”

Celeste glanced at Angel, thinking she probably had her eyes on Liam too.

But Celeste didn’t like how Angel always seemed to want to take things from her

So, she casually replied, “It’s already late, almost nine. Our family is urging us to have a baby, so we need to go home and work on that. Liam has

work tomorrow, too.”

Angel were left speechless.

Angel’s face turned red, cursing Celeste in her mind but smiling. “If you two have urgent matters, then go ahead. Be careful on your way.” Celeste ignored her and walked out of the elevator.”
