Chapter 982

Celeste’s emotions were all over the place, as if a deer was running around in her heart.

She tried to stay calm, saying, “Have you been sneaking off to classes again? The way you’re pouring out sweet nothings…”

Liam gave a soft laugh, took her hand, gently kissed the back of her hand, “I spent a lot of money, and attended a few classes”

Celeste, “Did you really attend classes to learn how to make girls happy?”

Liam said, “There’s this internet sensation, she’s helped over a hundred divorced couples remarry in a year. I was curious about how she did it, but to watch the follow–up classes, I had to pay, so I followed a few episodes.”

Celeste,”So, what did you learn?”

Liam said, “I saw the female lead in that story, the day after she got back with her ex–husband, she went on another blind dating show, saying she was single and unmarried. I asked for a refund, but got blocked instead.”

Celeste was startled, then burst out laughing.

Liam watched her laughing heartily in his arms, and felt incredibly happy

He wrapped his arm around her waist, whispered, “I have something to tell you.”

Celeste stopped laughing, it took her a while to ask, “What is it?”

Liam said, “Fm about to start a big project.”

Celeste was confused. Why would she want to hear about his work? She didn’t understand his work.

Liam continued, “This project should be done in about three months. By the end of the year or early next year, we should see a return on investment, probably in the tens of millions.”

Celeste?

Was he flexing?

Liam said, “If we remarry within these three months, the tens of millions will be our marital property. If we remarry after three months, the tens of millions will only be my premarital property.”

Celeste squinted her eyes, “What are you trying to say?”

Liam spoke earnestly. “To maximize your benefits, I think it’d be better to cut short the trial period a bit.”

Celeste rolled her eyes, “You mean I should remarry you right after the trial period?”

Liam paused, then said after some thought, “Well, I’d need two months to prepare for the wedding.”

Celeste stood up, “I’ll find someone else to shoot for me.”

Liam immediately pulled her into his embrace, “I’m just making a suggestion, the choice is yours.”

Celeste hummed lightly, and after a while, she said, “I don’t want to rush into marriage this time. If we get the marriage certificate and neither of our temperaments change, we’ll just go back to square one when we argue. I’d rather not get married at all. I don’t want to cater to you, nor do I want you to cater to me. Dating is the best time to adjust our temperaments. It’s never too late to get married when we find the best state for us.”

Celeste paused, then whispered, “I don’t want to be a three–time loser in marriage.”

Liam was stunned, then said softly, “I’m sorry. I was too hasty”

Celeste didn’t blame him, she felt uncomfortable when he apologized.

So she changed the subject, “Let’s wrap it up. Owen’s waiting for you.”

With prior experience, the shooting process went much smoother this time.

Liam didn’t need to act at all. When Celeste’s high heels stepped on his chest, he gracefully raised his hand to tie her shoelaces, then stroked her ankle, and suddenly bent down to kiss her ankle.

Just then, there was a “snap“, something fell to the ground.

Both of them froze, turning around to see Trisha standing at the door in shock, with an equally stunned Hiram Garcia next to her.
