She shot Liam a questioning look, “What kind of tall tale did you spin to Mr. Garcia while I was out? When have I ever been able to stand for half an hour?”
Liam coolly replied, “She used to dance, so she’s flexible. She could stand for hours if she wanted to.”

Hiram took note of this and asked, “I heard from a friend that you played the piano at a cruise party once. You were pretty good” Celeste modestly replied, “Thanks, I can only play a song or two well. I’m nowhere near as good as Ms. Garcia”
Normally, when parents hear someone complimenting their daughter, they would immediately be modest. However, Hiram’s response was, “Being able to play a song or two is already impressive. No one can be good at everything, right?”

“Celeste, is there any particular food you like?” Hiram asked.
Celeste was taken aback. Hiram quickly noticed that his question was too abrupt and hurriedly explained, “Steven’s grandparents are your fans. They want to come and see you. We want to have a gathering, meet up, but we’re not sure what you like to eat, so we’re worried that the food might not suit your taste.”
Their family’s elders had been living abroad for many years, they were coming to J City just to see Letti?

Hiram frowned, finding Liam’s interruptions annoying, and casually replied, “It’s a family gathering, it wouldn’t be appropriate for you to come.”
“A family gathering?” Liam repeated, “Isn’t it a fan meeting?”
Celeste also didn’t want to go and quickly replied, “Mr. Garcia, I don’t think it’s appropriate for me to attend your family gathering. When I have time, I can make a special trip to visit them and take some photos.”
Hearing Celeste’s refusal, Hiram became anxious.
He had promised them that he would bring her. If Celeste didn’t come, wouldn’t the elders‘ trip be in vain? Their purpose was clear. They wanted to acknowledge her as their grandchild.
He quickly explained, “What’s the matter? Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. They were planning to stay in J City for a short while anyway, they miss Steven. You’re in J City too. Can you help Steven keep them company? Aren’t you two close?”
