'So, he used that in the end,' Dok-ja knew this would happen since the Dokkaebi had got all of the others hooked with the fear of potential death and the sweet prize.
"Hey, Is this real?"
"Yeah, let's go,"
"Fuck him, we'll just take it since he doesn't want it," The surrounding people were fully ready with weapons wanting to attack but…
"I'd really like to see you guys try," Hee-won stood in between with blazing red eyes. She didn't look like she was about to let them off if they even try to attack.
"You people really have no shame, huh," But it wasn't her alone, Kanae and her group also joined in.
"He is the only reason you are free from the king who sent all of you in a suicidal rush and this is how you pay him back?" Hae-in also didn't look happy with this.
"I will assist you in this endeavor as I too find these people detestable," Ji-won also joined Haru's group to defend him from the waves of the people that were about to rush in along Sang-Kyung and his group as well.
"Have all of you lost your mind?"
"All of these kings are sided together,"
"He may have helped us before, but now because of him we'll lose our lives,"
The surrounding people weren't having it, their lives were on the line because of Haru's decision. They would all be dead if they didn't do this.
"You guys were already as good as dead if it wasn't for him, Do you think anyone else would've gone through that much trouble for people he didn't even know?" Kanae shouted while pushing the attackers back.
"King Of Righteousness, why are you helping him knowing how many will die? Why do you trust him that much?" The second in command from a group that was acquainted with Kanae shouted as she tried to attack her.
Her group had lost their king to Han Soo-young's purge inside the dungeon and were then forced to follow her command, so seeing Kanae act like this she couldn't help but ask.
"Why do I trust him? Then should I trust in the Dokkaebi as you do? Are you already forgetting what they've done? Do you guys really think that what he is saying is actually true?" Kanae shouted in anger and it shook the waves of attackers.
What Kanae said was true, why did they trust the Dokkaebi? They were the ones who had brought about this whole disaster and forced them to do their bidding.
Did they really have any goodwill in mind with this?
"Do you guys finally get it now?" It was then that these few hundred people heard a voice, the surroundings were chaotic but they were able to hear it clearly and their heads turned together to look at the source of it.
"This guy has been doing nothing but lying to you all to force you down the wrong way," Haru said as soon as their gazes fell on him.
[What do you mean by that? I am just trying to help you all, I have said nothing but the truth,] The Dokkaebi played dumb while looking at everyone, [In the end I shouldn't even care this much but if all of you die it would be a loss to us that is why I intervened to stop this foolish charade.]
"You hear that? He was worried about us, A Dokkaebi of all creatures, these are the creatures that forced these scenarios upon us, made us kill others if we want to survive, abandon others, and turn against our own kind by pushing us to the edge of the cliff, Such a creature is worried that we may die? He'll give us such power without any consequences, Are you seriously going to believe this crap?" Haru's words were clearly heard by everyone here and they were able to see his logic.
Even then there were some questions…
"But what if it really is true this time?"
"Yeah, it could be that there really isn't a drawback to this,"
"What if we really die?" These were the troubled questions that came from the crowd, it was understandable in the end they too were moving because of their fear of death.
"No drawback? You shouldn't forget that the only reason you are alive right now is because you took someone else's life at the start," The people stopped moving as soon as they heard it.
"That was your price for living, and we have continued to pay such a price in order to stay alive through every scenario," They all gulped when they heard that, "So tell me, do you really think that a power such as this would have no price?"
Hearing these words threw the crowd into more of a confused state than what the Dokkaebi managed to do.
[You people really have no idea how to appreciate kindness,] The Dokkaebi looked like he was holding his anger inside as best as he could, but someone was not going to let that happen.
"Shut it we don't have any interest in any of the lies you have spoken," Haru scoffed and…
[When have I lied? All I have said is the truth,] The Dokkaebi asked with this twitching face.
"Do you really not get it?" Haru said and the Dokkaebi's eyes widened, "I have a skill that lets me know when someone is lying to me."
'It works even on a Dokkaebi? Not to mention that he did not even know it was used on him,' Dok-ja was also shocked as he understood the level of danger Haru posed now.
[The constellation 'Secretive Plotter' is extremely interested in the situation.]
[The constellation 'Abyssal Black Flame Dragon' is completely absorbed in the ongoing scenario.]
[The Constellation 'General Who Had Dinner With Hades' is watching the scenario with great interest.]
[The Constellation 'I Am Worth More Than That' is entertained by the situation the Dokkaebi 'Paul' is in.]
[3,000 coins have been sponsored.]
"You lied when you said there were no consequences to the use of Absolute Throne, not to mention you even lied about the power of the Throne, you lied saying that it was thanks to the goodness of your heart that you want to help us, did you really think you wouldn't be caught?" Haru said and the Dokkaebi trembled more with each word.
'Well, he would've gotten away with it if it weren't for us,' Dok-ja knew it because this Dokkaebi had been able to fool all of the incarnations of Seoul including Jung-hyuk for a total of 41 times.
[Don't forget your place, you insect!] The Dokkaebi roared and Haru smiled.
"You too, don't forget your place," Haru said and the Dokkaebi froze in place like he couldn't believe he had just heard that.
"Your job is to bring the scenarios here, don't try to act bigger than your station and control the outcome like you want," But Haru wasn't done with the Dokkaebi, "Did your position got to your head? It is better to set yourself straight before you get burnt."
[You …You …You] Paul's anger was going over what he could suppress anymore.
'Uh-oh that isn't good,' Dok-ja thought as messing with a Dokkaebi was basically a death sentence for any incarnation even if they had a supporting constellation, 'But that is for a normal Incarnation….'
'I want to kill him, No I want to rip him apart at this very instant!!' Paul thought as he looked at Haru's back but even if he wanted to do that…
[The constellation 'Prisoner of the Golden Headband' is watching you.]
[The Constellation 'Secretive Plotter' is keeping an eye on your moves.]
[The Constellation 'Demonic Judge Of Fire' is looking at you.]
[The Constellation 'Noble Child of The Sun' is saying 'I dare you']
[The Constellation 'She Who Invites' is making tea for your expected arrival.]
[The Constellation 'He Who Invites' is sharpening his blade.]
[The Constellation 'He Who Dislikes Food' is telling a certain Constellation to prepare a feast for you.]
[The Constellation 'Desserts For Days' is watching you while eating his parfait.]
'What's with all these big shots?' Paul sweated just from the pressure of these gazes, not to mention that these were just the most powerful of the bunch, there were many others who were looking at him as well.
He couldn't understand why so many big constellations would be interested in such an incarnation.
