Chapter 136 The Tide Of War Begins
Chapter 136 The Tide Of War Begins
?
Nathan returned to the CEHA pocket dimension and immediately sensed the disorder that had taken over. Acting on instinct, he jumped forward and placed himself between the sheets of ice that were shattering and fragmenting all around him.
"Shit, this is bad!" he exclaimed before releasing Geen into the sky to observe the situation from above.
Yudan gasped in disbelief at the destruction surrounding him. "What kind of attack could have caused this? Will they be able to survive this?" he wondered aloud.
Nathan stared in awe from a distance at the massive nine-headed creature, its roars echoing through the sky and shaking the earth. He could see that the once lush and towering trees of the ancient forest had been flattened to the ground, and, further away, a horde of monsters was headed his way.
"We need to provide assistance to the injured right away!" Meriel uttered a concerned plea, her voice filled with worry.
Linda, now back in her regular attire and firmly grasping her mighty greatsword, was surprisingly quiet compared to her usual self.
"Everyone, go to the others immediately! They need help," Nathan commanded.
"Rowena, please help with the evacuation. Give me a few seconds to take care of those monsters – there must be at least a hundred of them!" he added.
He knew that his recently acquired skills would be useful for causing a wide range of destruction to the horde, so he decided to fight alone. This would be the most optimal and efficient way, allowing others to provide assistance to those in need.
All of his comrades nodded in agreement, then immediately launched into a sprint, hurrying away from the scene.
Likewise, Rowena says, "Master, I know you can do it to the very best of your ability." Her seductive intonation was followed by a bewitching smile as she suddenly transformed into a flock of black bats. With powerful flaps of their wings, they disappeared into the night sky.
"This is unbelievable!" Nathan exclaimed, his body stiffening with tension as he gulped nervously, sensing the palpable anticipation in the air.
The piercing shrieks of the hordes of monsters running towards him blended with the thunderous roars of the colossal creature from the opposite direction.
There were countless of them, and they seemed to barrel through anything that got in their path.
This was many more times the challenge than he had ever taken on before. He was well aware that it would be a daunting task, but he was determined to face it head-on.
"Fang!" Nathan exhaled the name in excitement, eager to test out the newfound strength it had recently acquired. With a low voice, he added, "It's time to show what you can do now."
As he concluded his words, an ominous, ebony circle materialized on the ground in the vicinity. From it, a colossal wolf with an inky black body emerged, with the only discernible color being the blazing, ethereal shadow energy that encircled it and its blazing, ruby-red eyes. This newfound power was a result of the Monster Soul Stone recently bestowed on Fang by Nathan.
Fang had gone through an incredible change; its might, fighting ability, and aid abilities had significantly multiplied. It was no longer just a mount; it had become a terrifying spirit wolf that would cause even a level 100 Hunter to take a step backward in fear.

[Shadow Storm: An incredibly powerful and destructive ability. It creates an intense storm of dark energy that envelops its target, draining them of their energy and strength. [Unstoppable Bloodlust: Taps into the primal strength of the pack and sends it into an unstoppable frenzy. Fang developed an affinity with the Shadow element shortly after Nathan acquired an affinity with the Dark element. Although Nathan had also desired the Shadow element, he had to be content with the upgrade Fang had obtained.
Fang was now able to truly maximize the advantages of his invisibility power by blending into the shadows and even granting his rider the same ability.
Furthermore, Nathan gifted Fang the Monster Soul Stone Elite Ursa Major Lv. 70, an incredibly powerful magical item. This generous gift significantly boosted Fang's magical abilities, granting it the ability to absorb energy and mana from its opponents and transfer it directly to Nathan, making him an even more formidable and unstoppable force in massive battles.
The last ability was an intimidating one, capable of striking fear into its opponents and exponentially increasing its potential in battle. Activating this powerful skill made Fang even more ferocious, creating an aura of fear that surrounded him.
Fang raised its head to the sky and released a booming howl that echoed across the landscape. Nathan smiled in response before extending his arm and pointing towards a gang of monsters that were rapidly approaching.
"Let's take them down, Fang!" he yelled. Instantly, Fang's body melted into the ground, transforming into a dark shadow that flew off into the far horizon.

[Greed Meter: 55%]
[Bloodlust Meter: 39%]
Nathan examined the transparent status bar hovering in front of him, noting that his bloodlust had increased by 39%, and thus he had also been granted a 39% upgrade in Strength, Movement Speed, and Defense.
He quietly murmured to himself, "I couldn't have asked for anything better," as the excitement coursed through his body.
A faint smile spread across his face as he released the two swords in his hands: the Misfortune Cursed Sword, crafted from adamantine and a deep, pitch-black color, and the Breath of the Dragon Sword on his left.
Nathan softly uttered the words "Fire Blade Aura," and with a swift wave of his hands, the two swords in his possession were suddenly engulfed in a fierce, raging flame.
"Berserker Magma Form."
Nathan muttered the name of the ability he had formerly possessed. This time, he had advanced it to Tier Two. Immediately, his fists clenched, and his hair stood on end, stirred by the gale. His gaze shifted to a blazing, ruby-red hue.
Nathan had obtained a new transformation, his skin streaked with bright red as if his veins were filled with burning embers. The heat radiating from his body was palpable, indicating that he had unlocked Berserker Form Tier 2 Skill with the addition of the Magma element.
