Chapter 301: Edge of a Black Hole, Nine Years in One Second
With his level of cultivation, Ling Jiu could teleport tens of thousands of kilometers at a time. Thus, be it going to outer space or to the surrounding satellites, it was a simple matter.
After a short while, Ling Jiu arrived at the satellite that was particularly rich with Dark Bio-energy.
Of course, this planet was also the so-called divine realm, the place where the True Gods lived.
Standing in outer space and looking into the distance, the satellite appeared very beautiful, just like a blue crystal ball that floated quietly in space.
It was surrounded by white clouds and was verdant green with yellow spots in places. It also had a long river...
Clearly, this satellite, which was slightly larger than the Moon, had forests, rivers, deserts, grasslands, and other landforms, just like Earth.
“Can you feel it, Ling Jiu?”
Leoux also appeared next to Ling Jiu.
“I can’t feel any Dark Bio-energy, but there are many powerful lifeforms on the planet, 11 of which are supergalactic lifeforms.”
Ling Jiu’s eyes flickered. “If we’re not wrong. These 11 supergalactic beings are probably the 11 Prime Gods of Auguland.”
“Yeah.”
Leoux laughed. “Let’s go and have a look.”
“Yeah.”
Ling Jiu took a step and instantly appeared on the surface of the satellite. The concentrated Dark Bio-energy was like viscous air, making Ling Jiu feel very comfortable.
Ling Jiu took a deep breath as he squinted and smiled. “For the Dark Bio-energy to be this rich, it is almost the same as Whitehole 3. I dare say that there is a wormhole on this planet, and a white hole is on the opposite end of that wormhole.
“That’s what I thought as well.”
Leoux nodded repeatedly.
“Leoux, can you locate that wormhole?” Ling Jiu asked again. “Let’s go to the world on the other side of the wormhole to have a look, then search for the God of Magic.”
“Got it! But it takes time to find the wormhole,” Leoux responded.
“Then let’s get on with it.”
“Understood!”
Leoux’s efficiency was very high, and just five minutes later, it found the wormhole. Ling Jiu did not dither and instantly Blinked to the front of the wormhole.
The location of this wormhole was somewhat special. It was not underground or beneath the sea but hidden inside a big mountain.
In a hollow space at the heart of the mountain, a colored sphere stood suspended there.
Ling Jiu could feel the rich Dark Bio-energy rushing out like a torrent from the wormhole and into the planet, adding to the satellite’s Dark Bio-energy.
Ling Jiu did not hesitate, and he plunged into the wormhole. Soon, he arrived on the other side of the wormhole.
Just as in his previous encounters, there was another planet beyond the wormhole, but it was dark.
Yes, darkness.
The sky was dark.
The ground was dark.
More outrageously, there was no star, no moon, nothing at all. It was nothing but pitch blackness and emptiness.
“What a strange planet. There isn’t even a single star in the sky.”
Ling Jiu wondered. “Could the planet’s atmosphere be more special, that it blocked off all of the light from the universe?”
Why were there no stars in the sky?
This was also because the vast majority of stars were stars proper. They would glow, and light would spread to Earth, hence one could see the stars.
It stood to reason that as long as a planet was suspended in space, one could definitely see the stars at night, but there were no stars on this planet.
“Ling Jiu, let’s go to outer space to have a look,” Leoux suddenly urged.
“Okay!”
Ling Jiu Blinked out of the planet’s atmosphere and reappeared in the space outside it. When he saw what was there, Ling Jiu was stunned.
It was more darkness!
All he saw was darkness. There were no stars, no planets, nothing.
“Is this a lone star?”
Ling Jiu frowned deeply. “No it shouldn’t be. Even if it is a lone star, you should still be able to see the galaxy. It’s impossible to have nothing around.”
Leoux did not speak. It still seemed to be calculating or detecting something. A good five minutes later, it suddenly shouted, “Ling Jiu, go back, now!”
“What’s wrong?”
Ling Jiu paused for a moment.
“This planet is at the edge of a black hole! And the flow of time is 783,732 times faster than normal!” Leoux exclaimed.
“Every second you stay here, 783,720 seconds would have passed normally, or about 9 days!
“We have been on this planet for almost 5 minutes. If we change it to a normal, that is a whole seven years!”
Leoux urged, “Go back! Now! The longer we stay here, the more time will pass outside!”
“F*ck!” Ling Jiu cursed immediately. Without saying anything, he Blinked out of the planet and returned to the wormhole.
Woosh!!
Just as Ling Jiu prepared to enter the wormhole, a rip in the air thundered, and taken by surprise, Ling Jiu was struck instantly.
The strength of this attack was really terrifying, and Ling Jiu felt like he had been smashed by a heavy hammer. Instantly dazed, he flew back a few kilometers before stopping.
“Damn it!”
Ling Jiu shook his dizzy head as a cold glint appeared in his eyes, looking for the culprit who attacked him.
Although it was dark, his eyes could totally adapt to it, and he soon found the person who had attacked him.
The other party semed to have no intentions of hiding as it flew toward him once again. It turned out to be a horned creature with two black wings. Holding a black scythe, it resembled a demon very much.
“You dare to attack me? Die!” Ling Jiu roared in fury as he unleashed all of his strength and charged over. He then slammed his fist against his foe’s head.
“Hehe, right where I want you!”
The demon-like creature howled as it swung the scythe in its hand at Ling Jiu.
Just as the scythe was about to touch Ling Jiu, he activated Time Stop.
Buzzz...
The black scythe froze in the air instantly, and the demon-like monster also froze where it stood.
“Die!” Ling Jiu yelled and slammed his fist into his foe’s head. With a crack, the latter’s head burst like a smashed watermelon.
The Time Stop ended, and the demon-shaped creature stopped moving after a brief struggle. Ling Jiu grabbed its corpse and teleported back to the wormhole before he plunged straight into it.
Wooosh!!
Rushing out of the wormhole, and back to the belly of the mountain, Ling Jiu heaved a sigh of relief. Nine days in one second, the time there was way too expensive.
He really could not afford to waste a single second.
“Leoux, what’s the deal with that Dark Hole?” Ling Jiu asked solemnly.
He knew about black holes; they were celestial bodies with supermassive mass, density, and gravity.
What the hell was a Dark Hole?
“The so-called Dark Holes are ancient, invisible black holes that devoured all of their surrounding stars, satellites, debris, and light, causing the event horizon to disappear due to a lack of ‘food’ to consume,” Leoux explained.
Ling Jiu nodded slightly. All black holes had an “aperture” around them, and that could be understood as the edge of a black hole.
After passing this aperture, light would not be able to escape and would be sucked in.
If light did not pass the aperture, light would be captured by the black hole’s gravity, and it would then “circle” the black hole, forming the aperture.
This aperture was the Event Horizon.
However, if the stars around a black hole were swallowed, causing the light around the black hole to disappear, then the event horizon around the black hole would naturally disappear.
Without the aperture, the black hole would be invisible.
The truth was not difficult to understand.
“Although such a black hole is invisible, it still exists in the universe. It still has ultra-high density and gravity, causing the flow of time around it to be ultra-fast as well,” Leoux said.
“Moreover, because of its age, it would have swallowed all of the surrounding matter that it could swallow. So, it would be supermassive with a rapid flow of time, just like this black hole.”
