Chapter 210: Shining blizzard
Chapter 210: Shining blizzard
"He is doing it! He is going to use the Shining Blizzard!" The exclamation rippled through the ranks of the vampires and Dhampirs alike like a shockwave, sending shivers down their spines as they grappled with the realization of the power that lay before them.
For the ones that knew of this technique were those from the Durello household. Only a handful of them were able to use the ice ability. Most notably, Damien being the last one to be able to use it. Like most families, they had similar traits that made them alike. For the Durellos, it was their ice ability which worked in different manner.
For centuries however, tales of the legendary technique, the shining blizzard had been whispered in hushed tones, spoken of only in the most reverent of tones. And now, to witness it firsthand, was nothing short of awe-inspiring.
Rose stood frozen in shock, her mind reeling at the sight unfolding before her. Damienhad always been strong perhaps one of the strongest she knew. After all the talks about him being an original that refused to allow his natural age catch up with his looks remained unclear. But to master the fabled technique was beyond anything she could have imagined.
It was as if he had tapped into a wellspring of power previously unseen, a force that defied reasoning.
As Damien hovered in the air, bathed in a radiant glow that seemed to emanate from the very depths of his being, Rose found herself unable to tear her gaze away.
Every fiber of her being trembled in the presence of such overwhelming power, her own strength paling in comparison to the sheer magnitude of Damien's transformation.
Around them, the Dhampirs bowed shielded their eyes from the blue brilliance of his form. Power, raw power was right in front of them and their pride and arrogance shattered in the face of such might.
Even Rose could barely lift her head to meet his gaze, the intensity of his aura too potent to withstand.
A wicked smile crept across Damien's face as he reveled in his newfound power, his features bathed in an eerie blue glow that seemed to pulse with icy intensity. It was as if he had become a force of nature unto himself, a being of pure energy and wrath.
The Dhampirs stood frozen in terror as Damien's icy figure crashed forcefully to the ground, sending shockwaves rippling through the air and coating the earth with a layer of frost. The sheer power emanating from Damien's form left them speechless, their minds struggling to comprehend the magnitude of the force before them.
As Damien landed with a resounding thud, a collective gasp of fear escaped the lips of the vampires around, their bodies trembling with a mixture of awe and dread.
Some dared to glance up at him, their eyes wide with disbelief as they tried to make sense of the force that now stood among them. Others especially from the Durello household took pride in seeing their leader fight amongst the weak in the open castle area. After all, the other leaders were at God knows where.
With his eyes closed and head bowed, Damien uttered a single word, his voice a chilling echo in the silence that enveloped the battlefield.
"Perish."
As the word left his lips, a violent blue ripple surged outward from Damien's position, sweeping through the ranks of the Dhampirs with deadly precision. Those unfortunate enough to be caught in its path were lifted off their feet, their bodies wracked with agony before collapsing lifelessly to the ground.
The two high-grade Dhampirs managed to withstand the onslaught, their bodies trembling with the effort as they struggled to maintain their footing. But even they could not escape the overwhelming power of Damien's attack, their forms wavering and weak as they teetered on the brink of defeat.
With his eyes still closed, Damien began to approach the frozen Dhampirs, his every movement calculated and deliberate. He first turned his attention to the formidable man who had been his adversary, leaning in close with an air of quiet menace.
In a voice barely above a whisper, Damien uttered a single word into the Dhampir's ear, his tone laced with an icy finality. And as the word hung in the air, a chill swept through the Dhampir's body, his form beginning to denature and melt away before Damien's eyes.
As Damien's icy words enveloped the once formidable Dhampir, the creature's flesh began to melt away, dripping like molten wax onto the frozen ground below.
In a matter of seconds, what had once been a fearsome adversary now lay in a puddle of liquefied remains, a testament to the sheer power of Damien's icy wrath.
The sight was both awe-inspiring and terrifying, a reminder of the raw power that Damien wielded. With each passing moment, his dominance over the battlefield became more apparent, his enemies powerless to resist the inexorable tide of destruction that he unleashed upon them.
His attention now turned to the remaining Dhampir, his expression still as impassive as ever as he strode purposefully forward.
With each step, he crushed the already lifeless bodies of fallen Dhampirs beneath his feet, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake.
His face bore no trace of emotion as he closed the distance between himself and the woman, his eyes still closed as if lost in some distant realm. Yet, despite the blankness of his expression, there was an undeniable sense of menace radiating from him, a silent warning to all who dared to stand in his way.
"Hello there," Damien greeted the woman who could use her hair as a weapon.
His was voice devoid of warmth or malice. It was a simple greeting, yet it carried with it an undercurrent of power and authority that sent shivers down the female Dhampir's spine. She knew that she stood before a force unlike anything she had ever encountered, a being of pure elemental energy.
The woman felt a cold hand tighten around her neck, lifting her off the ground with an eerie sense of weightlessness. It was as if Damien's words alone carried the power to exert physical force, holding her in a vice-like grip that left her gasping for breath.
"It is regrettable," Damien's voice echoed in her ears, each word carrying a weight that seemed to press down on her very soul. "A Dhampir of your talent destined to be squandered in such a grim fate. But in your next existence, assuming you are granted one, always recall the name, Damien Durello,"
As Damien spoke, a wicked smile twisted his features, his eyes opened up, flashing blue with malicious intent causing the woman to gasp out loud.
