Chapter 6: Letting them know I am him!!
As the Mercedes Benz G-Class elegantly pulled up by the bank, Blake felt a surge of urgency.
Instructing the driver to wait, he stepped out with hurried steps, the polished exterior of the bank looming before him like a gateway to answers.
The rationale behind his immediate visit to the bank was grounded in a blend of practicality and confidence in the intentional nature of this unexpected windfall.
If this was a mistake, a glitch in the grand design that Miss Rose Shelley seemed to be orchestrating, Blake reasoned that frantic calls and messages would have flooded his phone by now.
Yet, the silence from his boss spoke volumes, confirming the deliberate nature of the 100,000 dollars that had found its way into his account.
Now confident that it wasn't a mistake that the money flew into his account, there was one more doubt he needed to clear and he needed to head into the bank to confirm.
Inside the bank, Blake approached the teller with a composed demeanor, inquiring about his account balance. The teller, a professional in the polished setting of the bank, confirmed the sum.
The total balance of 100,750 dollars blinked on the screen, a digitized confirmation of the financial shift that had occurred.
"Thank you," Blake said turning to leave. He walked with a skip as he exited the back. Some might even think he stole something or was seriously pressed and needed to use the rest room with how he sped walked out of the bank.
Leaving the bank, Blake's contemplation deepened as he walked back to the waiting car.
The weight of the windfall pressed upon him, and with every step, he considered the responsible allocation of this unexpected bounty.
Back in the car, he split the money into three mental categories, each representing a strategic facet of his financial plan: 50% for savings, 30% for investments, and 20% for personal enhancements.
The foundation of financial security took precedence in Blake's mind. With 50% earmarked for savings, he aimed to build a robust safety net.
This portion would act as a fortress against unexpected twists in life, a buffer that could weather storms and provide stability in the face of uncertainties.
"Savings first. It's the backbone of financial well-being," Blake mused, being well educated, he knew that savings was important. His gaze was fixed on the passing cityscape outside the tinted windows as he continued to plan.
Next, the allure of growth beckoned as Blake allocated 30% for investments. With a cautious nod to the world of finance, he envisioned this portion as seeds planted for future prosperity.
Consulting a financial advisor became a logical step, an informed journey into the world of wealth multiplication.
'Let's see what the world of investments has to offer, always wanted to own a business of my own. Requires a bit of risk, but calculated risk.
Hell, maybe I could try the food business, a restaurant. People will surely eat and not to mention, when this money finishes, I might have to fall back and rely on it for food,' he thought chuckling because of the last part.
The final category held a more personal touch. With 20% set aside for personal enhancements, Blake envisioned a modest upgrade to his living space.
A thoughtful indulgence, this portion would transform his immediate surroundings, creating a more comfortable haven, not that he didn't already view his home as a paradise already.
Still, he felt a little bit of Blake touch was all it needed to be even more perfect.
'A bit of comfort at home won't hurt. Nothing extravagant, just a subtle enhancement,' he contemplated, the mental image of a cozy, upgraded living space taking shape.
As the car glided through the city, Blake's mind, playes with visions of his personal enhancements. The 20% allocated for this purpose held a promise—a promise to infuse his life with a touch of personal luxe.
The first item on his list was a subtle wardrobe makeover for work. Blake, always one to appreciate the impact of a well-chosen outfit, envisioned a collection that seamlessly blended professionalism with his unique style.
A few tailored suits, crisp shirts, and the perfect ties—each piece carefully selected to project competence while still carrying a touch of individuality.
'A wardrobe that says I'm HIM. Time to level up the work attire,' he thought, a faint smile playing on his lips as he imagined the transformation.
The mention of personal enhancements however couldn't be complete without a nod to his inner nerd. A video game setup took root in his mind—a haven where adventures unfolded.
He thought about a cozy place for his Minecraft, world of warcraft, Total war : War hammer and many more he could think of on the spot made him wiggle his ass on the seat of his exotic ride purely out of excitement.
A sleek gaming console, a high-definition monitor, and the perfect gaming chair—all elements that would create a sanctuary for his virtual escapades.
Perhaps the most cherished segment of his plan involved the realm of comics and manga. Blake, an avid collector and reader, envisioned an updated collection that would make his heart skip a beat.
Rare editions, carefully preserved classics, and the latest releases—all curated to form a kaleidoscope of stories that reflected his eclectic taste.
'Time to expand the collection. Can't believe she thinks my comic collection is stupid. I mean if you didn't just suddenly change my life, I'd have called on the elder gods to strike you with paralysis!' Blake couldn't forget how Rose almost made him throw away his comic collections.
However focusing on the more important things at hand, his mind buzzed with possibilities, he felt a sheen of sweat break out on his forehead, even within the confines of the air-conditioned car.
The tension and excitement that accompanied the decisions, the tangible transformation awaiting him—it all converged to create ripples of nerves and anticipation so much so that he could feel a fart coming on.
Not embarrassed, he let it slide out silently, in his mind, he remembered a page out of a comic book he read once and an idea came to him. The image of the cold air-conditioning freezing his fart made him chuckle.
'Frozen fart,' he grinned at his own sick humour. Of course he knew this wasn't possible and wouldn't let the thought slip out to anyone as it was neither funny nor hygienic in any sense.
Still, the thrill of being rich over night must have gotten into his head as he smiled, regurgitating the image in his head.
After a while of him letting his inner child out, he then leaned forward, instructing the driver to make a detour to a boutique.
