My Unconventional Lover: Seeing A Different World

Chapter 132

Chapter 132

132 I Miss You

(Jane’s PoV)

How many months have passed since the last time I saw him?

Did he really return to his body safely?

Why didn’t he call me if he had awaken?

The last time Uncle Ben called me, he said that Tom called him and he was on his way to see his nephew. After that call, Uncle Ben had not called me again and it had been some times after that.

What had happened?

Wait, is it possible that he got amnesia soon after he woke up? It could be! Uncle Ben must be feeling complicated that he couldn’t call me to tell me the news.

I was stunned with that thought. Just like in those cheap soap operas in TV, when someone woke up from comma, that person would forget everything about his/her past life.

Was it true?

.....

Then, would I be waiting in vain?

“What are you thinking?” Siji’s voice startled me, successfully brought me back to my senses.

I turned around and looked at Siji who was standing not far from me. As usual, he was wearing white traditional costumes, with black headband around his head and black sarung with gold embroidery around his hips. The clothes might looked plain but upon closer inspection, one could see thin gold threads was decorating the fibers of the white costume. All the clothes on his body was adorned with gold threads, it showed how important his figure was.

His clothes were not the only one that I took notice, apparently. Ever since I started to take a good look at those surrounding me, I noticed his hair.

How could a man have such silky hair?

To be honest, I was stunned when I finally noticed his beautiful hair. At first, he tied up his hair in a bun, that’s why I didn’t notice it. But, then he tied it up in a ponytail. His hair easily reached his waist even when he tied it up. Sometimes, he would put it in half-ponytail. And he had an amazing hair!

I mean, wasn’t he a ghost? Why was he able to change his hair style? It was my first time seeing something like that. Wasn’t any ghost stuck in their last appearance and not capable in changing it?

Of course, Siji laughed at me when I asked him. “I’m not a mere ghost. I’m already the permanent citizen of mystic world. I have my own life there, my own house. I even followed the selection to be an adviser. The permanent citizens of mystic world live just like human. We are not wandering ghosts. When a ghost reaches a certain level, they can have a life. You might not believe it since you haven’t stepped out from your house in the other dimension, but you’ll be surprised if you see it one day. Haven’t you ever heard about the ghost market? That’s us, the citizens of mystic world.”

He also explained to me what it was like living in the other dimension and why I couldn’t step out from the house in the other dimension. My current power or ability was not enough to hide my aura as a living person in that dimension. He said when I was powerful enough, I could either hide my aura or let it out since no one in the dimension could harm me. The second option, of course, could only be applied if I was more powerful than the first master, he said.

What a standard!

He also explained, even though they lived like humans, but they didn’t have to have the same routine like taking a bath, eating, or even sleeping. Didn’t have to didn’t mean they didn’t do it. Some of them still enjoyed the feeling of taking a bath even though it didn’t do much to them. Some of them even enjoyed eating human’s food. But they literally didn’t feel hungry or thirsty towards human’s food. They mostly felt hungry for energy, either positive or negative energy, it depended on the type of ghost.

Only powerful humans could walk into the other dimension in their human’s body and come out safely. That was why Siji had always forbidden her to open the door that led to the other dimension.

Regarding his hair, he always had that hair even before he died and turned into ghost. He said he had taken care of his hair meticulously by following his mother’s recipe of silky hair ever since he was a young boy.

Seeing that his appearance was the one in his thirties, I could imagine the effort he had put to take care of his hair. But really, his hair was so beautiful I couldn’t bother to mask my envy look.

Well, now that I looked at it again, even though I still felt envious, I was not feeling bothered anymore.

For now, I needed to know what happened to Tom and Uncle Ben. I took my phone and tried to dial the number, but then I remembered... the fee for international call was so expensive! As a child who lived alone without any job, I couldn’t afford the fee for international call. I could only wait for Uncle Ben to call me first. Why wouldn’t Uncle Ben install Whatsapp or Line in his phone? That way I could call him without having to worry about roaming, right?

I put down my phone, feeling dejected. What should I do? I missed him already.

“You must be thinking about that human, right?” Siji guessed. Seeing that I didn’t respond him, he assumed that he was right. “Milady, it’s best not to drag other humans in your affair. I think that man, Sanjaya, is enough to help you. I don’t see any benefits of letting another human around you.” He said politely, back to his old self as an adviser.

“I’ll let him decide about that, Siji. Since I’ve promised him that I would wait for him, I will wait for him.” I calmly told him, not feeling offended a bit with what he told me.

Siji didn’t say anything after that and I didn’t bother to look at him anymore. My mind drifted to when I was still with Tom. Every single things we did together, every arguments, and every dreams he cast upon me.

With every memory we had together, if he forgot about it, what would I do? I asked myself that question.

Well, as long as he was alive and healthy, it was enough for me. About us? I would let fate decide for us. If we were meant to be together, fate would bring him back to me. I was sure of that.

Tom, did you know? Sanji had said that he would not give up on me. If you really forgot about me, I would go with him.

It was not a threat, but... Yes, it was a threat.

Talking about Sanji, I had not seen him for almost a week. I wonder if he was busy. Since he lived in a contracted room, I couldn’t visit him lest giving those ‘haters of mine’ reason to attack me. Seriously, I preferred to take care ghosts and shadows instead of these haters of mine that mostly consisted of middle aged aunties who worked harder than a CCTV and journalists.

“Siji, could you check on Sanji, please? I haven’t seen him for almost a week. I’m afraid something happened to him and he didn’t want me to know. Since he can’t see you, you can observe him for a while before you come back and report to me.”

Siji stared at me for a while, as if hesitating to do my order. But, before I could ask, he had bowed down and disappeared.

It’s strange. Why would Siji give me that look? Why did he hesitate to do my order?

Usually, he would directly confront me if I gave him an order about something that may be a bit complicated or problematic, and he had never hesitated to do that. That was the first time he looked hesitated yet he still did it.

What was it actually? Did he know something I didn’t know?
