My Unconventional Lover: Seeing A Different World

Chapter 145

Chapter 145

145 Enemy?

(Tom’s PoV)

I was shocked to see I was out in the open air. It reminded me of how I was in comma at that time. I was floating, but the scenery around me was different to the ones I used to see. When I was in comma, I was sent back to where I lived; I saw familiar sights. But, this was my first time floating this high.

No, that’s not the point. I shook my head slightly and my gaze turned towards the grey cloaked man in front of me.

I could barely see the dark mist emitted from his body because of the night sky, but I was sure it was there. Who was he, actually? Was he the one who ordered those shadows to kill people? But, why would he attack me instead on focusing to his mission? Seeing that this person could float like me, I was sure he could separate his spirit from his physical body as well, which meant... he was not an average person.

“Who are you?” I asked, shouting loudly as the sound of the plane’s machine was really loud.

He didn’t answer, but I could vaguely sense he was sneering at me! What the?!

“Are you related to those shadows just now?”

He shook his head lightly and I was... upset. Why wouldn’t he talk?

“Are you mute?” I shouted, feeling irritated.

.....

At this time, the noise had travelled far enough to let us talk without shouting, but this damn unknown visitor still refused to open his mouth.

Calm down, Tom, calm down.

I took a deep breath and exhaled it slowly to ease the anger. Let him be mute if that was what he wanted. I should just return to my seat and the matter of him hitting me out of nowhere... Just say I was unlucky to be bitten by dog.

After I managed to calm myself, I was prepared to go back to the plane, to where my body was before Uncle Ben realized I couldn’t wake up. However, before I moved, he started attacking me again.

His claw reached out for me, seemingly trying to grab a hold of me. Good thing was I was nimble. Now that I could see his attack, I could dodge it easily by moving my body to the side. His claw went pass my neck and I could see his hand was fully covered with dark mist.

Totally evil! If his claw got my neck, I couldn’t imagine what would happen to me.

He didn’t look happy that I evaded his attack as his other hand delivered another blow at me.

Sorry, dude. You’re just too slow.

But, how come I couldn’t see his features even after he had moved towards me. All I could see was pitch black darkness, as if there was no one wearing cloak. It was just ridiculous for me.

Wait, do I really have time to think about it?

“How dare you looking down upon me?!” Finally she talked.

Eh, she? I stared him... err, her with wide eyes. I was 100% sure that the one hiding under the big grey cloak was a man, turned out it was... a woman?

I really couldn’t control my expression as I kept dodging but my eyes kept looking at her -even though all I could see was darkness.

Probably looking at my expression, she exploded in fury as her attack was getting faster and faster. I could even sense killing intent in every attack she dealt at me. The dark mist around her body thickened and she let out dangerous growl as she charged towards me.

Seeing her attitude changed drastically, I hastily realized my mistake. “Sorry, I don’t mean to look down on you.”

“Still daydreaming while fighting with me and you said you didn’t look down upon me? Who you want to kid, hah?” She replied fiercely without slowing down her attack.

Ah, I’m in trouble, I thought.

“I want to rip your stupid face into pieces.” She growled again.

Ah, she must be talking about my stupid expression just now. It made sense if she felt angry because of that. After all, no one would want to be stared at, wide eyed nonetheless, with shock expression on their face.

She had every reason to get mad at me, but hey, I had not even mentioned about how she attacked me!

As I remembered the reason why I was exposed in this place, I changed my tactic from dodging to attacking. I needed to subdue her before I could interrogate her.

The fight didn’t last long and I finally managed to hit her on her back -not too hard since she was still a woman and the way she attacked me in the plane before was not meant to harm me. So, I was just returning the favor.

“Now tell me, who are you? Why are you attacking me?”

She snorted. “I just wanted to test how strong my rival is before the second test starts.” She said, full of disdain.

Rival? Second test?

“Don’t tell me...” I pointed my finger in agitation towards her. “Do you also join the test to become a General?”

“I do, so what?” She lifted her chin a bit, looking so proud and arrogant.

“Ah, and here I thought you are an enemy.” I let out a sigh of relief. “Since you passed the test, then it means you’re strong. Good job!”

“Wipe your stupid grin from your stupid ass face!” She barked.

I was taken a back. This woman... Wasn’t she too hot-tempered?

“Just you wait! I won’t let you succeed! The General position is mine!” She yelled loudly before she turned around and disappeared.

I was just about to ask how she knew about me joining the test, but she disappeared so quickly. Forget it.

I closed my eyes and concentrated to return to my body. I opened my eyes slightly as I heard Uncle Ben’s voice calling out my name. Apparently he had been trying to wake me up for some time, but I didn’t wake up. He was afraid that I would fall into comma again.

Why would I fall into comma when all I did was sitting down, anyway?

But, I didn’t say that to him. I only said some comforting words to him and told him that I was still sleepy. After that, Uncle Ben let me sleep more.

Several hours later, the plane landed in Indonesia safely without any incident like before. Even though I saw one or two shadows passing by, I didn’t make a move.

But the journey didn’t end just like that. We still needed to continue the journey until several hours later. It was a long journey, yes, and really exhausting. If only my uncle didn’t rush us, I thought I could still...

Never mind. The one who was in a rush was me. I really missed my sweetheart. Of course, I missed my mom, too. This time, I was sure the first sentence I would tell my mother after exchanging greetings with her, probably some tears-including event, was...

Mom, I have a girlfriend. Please, help me to marry her soon before that bastard takes her away from me.

Imagine what expression my mother would make.

Never in million years I would have thought that at the same time as I safely landed in Indonesia and on my way to return home to my mother, my baby girl was kissing someone else.
