Chapter 204
Chapter 204
204 Too Dangerous For Now
(Jane’s PoV)
I floated closer to the silver light as my eyes inspected my surrounding. This was Sanji’s consciousness, which meant I was supposed to be able to see his form of power. But, instead of seeing it, why did I feel like I was being watched from the dark?
My senses sharpened as this strange feeling disturbed me. As I was getting closer to the only source of light in the dark room, I was tackled to the ground hard!
“Ugh...” I grunted from the impact, but something cushioned my fall. It seemed to be a solid hard body with a familiar yet unfamiliar aura.
My eyes shot opened as I inspected the person who would be so brave to attack me. I found it hard to believe that somebody would want to attack me in Sanji’s consciousness; therefore I wasn’t a bit worried about it. However, being tackled like this, even though it wasn’t hurt, wasn’t feeling right.
“Hello...” A familiar husky voice travelled to my ears as I finally recognized the face under me. His smirk had unusually sexiness in it and his gaze ....was different.
It was my first time seeing him smirking like this. His previous smile or smirk could only be described as gentle or mischievous, or even loving, but it had never filled with lots of sex appeal like this. Just seeing him smirking with that suppressed lustful gaze being directed at me make my heart thumped faster.
I forgot that I was still lying on top of him.
“I really like this position, you know.” He said as he tightened his arms around my body.
.....
I was pulled into his embrace again. How did he turn into a pervert?
I squinted my eyes as I stared at him. His gaze was hot and lusty. A huge amount of desire was reflected in his bottomless eyes. In instant, my body felt feverish all over.
Damn, how could I fall into his seduction?
“Sanji.” I frowned, hiding the fact that I was aroused from his sultry gaze and our position behind my fake displeasure.
“I thought you forgot my name.” He tilted his head a bit and his level of sexiness soared up into the sky.
Was it possible to get nosebleed in this space?
“Nonsense.” I hastily replied as I broke free from his embrace and stepped backwards to keep my distance from him.
Sanji chuckled. He pushed himself into sitting position but his lazy demeanor gave him a whole different vibe. I eyed him suspiciously, trying to find something that changed his aura.
“Why are you here?” He asked, but he didn’t sound angry at all. Not even curious.
“Just checking on you.” I shrugged. “How do you know I’m here?” Tom didn’t even notice my intrusion, but this man...
He chuckled. “This is my consciousness. Of course I would know if someone or something came in.”
Right. This was how a person reacted towards an intruder in one’s consciousness. But, Tom didn’t even realize my presence. Was it a matter between dark and bright? Blind under the light but master in the dark? What kind of logic was that?
“Then, you should know why your consciousness is dark, right?”
“What’s wrong with dark consciousness?” He responded casually.
“Mine is bright. Tom’s is also bright. This is the first time I see a dark consciousness. There’s nothing wrong with it but I just found it a bit different.” I said while looking around.
This place was really dark, save from the silver light nearby.
If Tom’s and my consciousness were a bright white room that looked mysteriously endless because of the color, Sanji’s consciousness was a dark room that looked intimidating and endless.
Was it really okay?
At times like this, I wished I could summon Siji. However, since I was inside Sanji’s consciousness, there was no way I could summon him.
Well, I would talk to him later.
“Then, tell me. What happened to you? Is it difficult to figure out the way to use and manipulate your power? Why don’t you show me the form of your spiritual power?”
Sanji nodded at the silver light nearby. At first, I didn’t get what he meant by nodding at it. I was asking him about the form of his spiritual power, why did he show me the silver light?
However, after I looked at it closely, I realized that I was wrong. Running towards the only spot where the silver light was shining upon, I realized that the light came from thin strands of spiritual power. It was even thinner than Tom’s but it emitted faint silver light. When they were put together, it created a pillar of silver light in the midst of dark room.
It moved vertically, not horizontally like mine or Tom’s. However, it looked like an endless stream of spiritual power pouring in and pierced through the bottom of Sanji’s consciousness.
It was really a bizarre thing. How could it happen?
Weird, but interesting. I wanted to study it closer.
“It’s better if you don’t get too close to them.” Sanji stood behind me and hold me back with his hands on my shoulders.
“Why?” I frowned.
“I collected them in one place intentionally. Even though my arrangement isn’t perfect, I think it’s the best for now. I’ll figure out the rest of it later. I’ve spent my time here trying to understand them and keep them here in one place where I can watch them. Not because I can’t manipulate them, instead, I’d done it pretty much well, I think. It’s just... it’s too dangerous for now. I think I accidentally made them sharper.” He chuckled softly.
Sharper? I arched my eyebrows, but said nothing.
Sanji put his hand near the light so that I could see some scars on his hand caused by super thin and sharp object.
He didn’t mean...
I turned my head and looked at his casual expression with a smile plastered on his face. His spiritual power hurt him?
“If I let them roam freely, you won’t be able to enter unscathed. So, I decided to put them together.” Sanji continued.
That dangerous? Ah, just because it involved blood didn’t mean it was more dangerous than mine. After all, I used mine to create fire; one that could extinguish evil without mercy.
Well, I had not thought of a name for it yet.
However, I was curious as to how far Sanji could manipulate his power. Those thin strings could cut flesh; it wasn’t impossible that they would be able to cut bones as well. Maybe not now, but I had a hunch that it wouldn’t be long.
If that time came, how dangerous would he be?
