Chapter 221: Road Trip

David was somewhat surprised when he opened his eyes only to find Audrey's gaze watching his face.

"Good morning," she said softly.

Hearing her voice in the morning only made the mood better.

David responded with a smile and said, "Good morning, sis!"

After he responded, Audrey finally sat up.

Her hair was no longer in a bun. It was now loose, a little messy, but it only made her face look alluring in a different way.

No matter what her style was like, she would always be a beautiful woman.

"Are you hungry? What kind of breakfast do you want?" She asked David after she sat up.

This woman seems to want to spoil him a little longer.

He was naturally pleased.

He replied, "just toast with eggs and warm milk."

Although he was happy to be pampered by her, he didn't want to make her too much trouble, so he asked for a simple dish so that she wouldn't have any trouble when she cooked it.

She nodded, lowering her legs from the bed.

Before standing up, she said, "go to your room first and take a shower. I want to take a shower too."

Audrey tried to smooth her hair as she said that. She slowly stood up while signaling David to stand up immediately.

David did everything she wanted. He stood up with a faint smile and walked out of the room.

Audrey might have trouble taking a shower if he was still in that room.

He went to his room which was not much different from Audrey's except that it didn't have a row of cabinets full of books.

It had facilities for young people such as a high-speaking computer and laptop, complete with the most luxurious gaming chair.

Even though David rarely played games these days, let alone computer games, he still felt satisfied with this kind of facility in his room.

He also found a closet filled with expensive clothes.

Audrey probably chose them personally for him.

The clothes chosen by Audrey for him naturally had a different impression from those chosen by other women.

This was something that was difficult to explain. What is clear is that Audrey's choice still shows elegance. It was perhaps just a little more boyish, like the pants that only went a little past the knee.

From David's own point of view, this is not entirely bad. He is still young at the end of the day, occasionally styling like a youngster is probably fine.

He put them all on the table before going to the bathroom.

When in the bathroom, he took quite a while. This was because he not only took a shower, but also opened various social media just to kill time.

He did this on purpose because if he took a shower too quickly, he would end up waiting for Audrey to finish first.

A woman always takes a long time when taking a bath, so he decided to take longer so that when he was done, Audrey would already be done cooking, not just finished bathing.

It made him feel too engrossed in his phone that he lost track of time.

In the end, he was in the bathroom for over half an hour.

When he realized that, he quickly got out, put on his clothes.

Then he went down to the first floor, going to the back room where the dining table was.

However, when he got there, he realized that he was still too early in the bathroom because at this time Audrey had just started cooking.

Her clothing style was the same as her usual days. Since it was now morning, so her hair was in a ponytail, making her look striking with a younger impression.

Seeing him coming, she smiled and said, "wait at the dining table."

David could only roll his eyes as he sat down due to his incorrect prediction.

He continued to play with his cell phone.

Over time, the fragrant aroma of toast filled the room, making him rather hungry.

When she was done, Audrey finally walked to the dining table carrying a tray.

It was complete with the dishes he wanted, including warm milk.

Audrey herself chose the same dish as him.

She sat across from him, placing the tray in the middle of them.

She even helped move his plate from the tray to the table.

Perhaps tomorrow she would not do it again as there was no way she could continue to spoil him. Hence, he enjoyed her help.

"Thanks, sis," he said, not forgetting to thank her for making her happy.

Audrey just smiled as she signaled him to eat soon.

After that, breakfast began.

They each had their own breakfast. David was quite fast while Audrey was quite relaxed.

She was still observing him more.

"Can you show me pictures of your girlfriends? I want to know who they are," she said suddenly, making David who was drinking his milk almost flinch.

Judging from Audrey's eyes, she seemed to be very curious about this.

However, David couldn't possibly show her pictures of his girlfriends. That would only cause a lot of awkwardness.

"Sis, there was a time when you met them all at one time," David said while pretending to laugh.

"I can't believe they're willing to get together," Audrey replied.

Perhaps she was using her point of view as a woman.

If her boyfriend somehow had a lot of other women and she didn't mind, there was no way she would be willing to get together with the other women.

That would make her seem like one of a bunch of concubines.

David felt that way too, but he had the perspective of a king.

He replied, "time will tell. After all, they must absolutely have your blessing if they want to be my wife absolutely."

When he said that, he looked very confident while Audrey rolled her eyes.

"Honestly, I'm worried that you'll be shot by lightning for playing with women so often," she said causing David's face to freeze.

He was thinking how lightning would shoot him while he was the king of lightning itself.

Of course, it was not something he could say, so he chose to remain silent while smiling.

Audrey finally didn't say anything else. She focused on breakfast.

Not long after, they finally finished their breakfast.

Audrey looked at her watch and immediately stood up.

"We have to go to the university soon," she said.

It seemed that she didn't realize the passage of time so now she was almost late.

David who didn't want her to be late immediately stood up and followed her out of the villa.

Audrey's car was already parked in the yard. Even the keys were still in the car. Who knows who drove it here, maybe the manager of this complex.

"You drive!" said Audrey as she walked to the car.

If she wanted to be quick, she needed to leave the driving to David since the latter drove faster.

At first David wanted to offer her to use the motorcycle instead, but she had already gotten into the car first. Maybe she wouldn't agree to use the motorcycle this early in the morning because when they arrived at the university on the motorcycle, it would be too conspicuous.

In the end, they traveled by car.

The good thing this morning is that the traffic is quite smooth even though the streets are full of cars.

Every car can move at high speed. It was probably due to the lack of big trucks as they were usually the ones causing the congestion.

David drives without restraint. He stepped on the gas pedal very deeply, sometimes making Audrey panic because the car was moving too fast.

Even so, she didn't try to reprimand him.

They finally arrived at the university sooner than Audrey thought.

It was now filled with students who had also just arrived.

And Jane had arrived early.

David looked at her car while her figure sat in it, playing with her cell phone.

She was clearly visible because the windshield was lowered.

After parking the car, he handed the key to Audrey.

"Sis, I'll go first," he said, getting out of the car first.

After getting out of the car, he approached Jane's car.

The latter only became aware of his presence when he arrived at the car door.

Jane was quite surprised when she saw him.

She was probably surprised at not being able to sense his figure while he was so close to her.

"Are we leaving now?" asked David with a faint smile, putting his hand on the car window.

Jane calmed down quickly. She nodded in response then said, "Come in, we'll take a road trip, through the tunnel to England."

That their destination was England did not surprise David.

He already suspected that the Rothschild Family's main house was there.

Perhaps Jane chose to be cautious and so she opted for a road trip.

If they used a plane, there was a greater threat.

After all, when the plane was attacked, things would become more difficult.

Each member of the Rothschild Family could not be underestimated. They could attack the plane with weapons that were extremely threatening even to Spiritual Beings at David's level.

"Sure," David said before getting into the car.

As soon as he got in and sat beside Jane, Lisa who was sitting in the driver's seat immediately started driving.
