After Nan Chen left, the atmosphere in the house became more casual.

Once everyone finished breakfast, Ning Ran sent the children to school and invited Lu Jingyuan for morning tea.

However, Lu Jingyuan rejected the invitation. “I still need to work and attend an important meeting later. Although, if you don't have anything going on, you can come to my office, and we can have lunch together at noon.”

Ning Ran was on break for the day, so she had nothing to do. Hence, she agreed. I'm curious to see what Lu Jingyuan is like at work, considering how lazy she was in the past.

When Ning Ran and Lu Jingyuan entered the company building, the employees were excited to see the beautiful women.

An employee sent to the company group chat: Hey, guess who I saw on the first floor earlier? I bet none of you can get it right. If someone can, I'll buy them coffee for the rest of the year!

Someone immediately replied: Was it an alien? A ghost?

It was mostly because she was aloof, beautiful, and had high standards for everything.

Originally, they were going to call her “Iron Lady.” However, she was too beautiful, and they couldn't bear calling her that. Thus, they changed her nickname to “Crown Princess.”

Aside from describing her draconian attitude, the title also represented their affection toward her.

When the employees heard Lu Jingyuan had arrived with Ning Ran, they grew even more excited.

The chat group continued to explode with texts. One sent: I heard Ding Mi and Mr. Chen are a couple. Does this mean she's here as the proprietress to observe our work?

Someone answered: I don't think so. Ding Mi is in the entertainment industry. Why would she be here for that?

Maybe Mr. Chen asked her to observe the situation here first?

I saw her too! She just entered Crown Princess' office! She's so pretty! I'm enamored with her!

Of course, Lu Jingyuan noticed the employees' fervor. First, she pretended to close the office door. Then, she turned around and suddenly opened it again. As she expected, a group of enthusiastic employees had gathered at the entrance.

“I think you should avoid visiting the company in the future, Ran. These people can't focus on their work when you're here,” said Lu Jingyuan.

“You're a superstar right now, and many employees in the company are youngsters who worship celebrities. They almost lost their minds when they saw you. They'll be too preoccupied to pay attention

to their tasks now!” Lu Jingyuan answered with a chuckle.

“You're attractive, too. They see you every day, yet they somehow manage to work normally, don't they?”

Waving her hand, Lu Jingyuan said, “You and I are different. I'm their leader who often reprimands them. I bet they even badmouth me behind my back.”

“You're usually pretty harsh against them?”

“It can't be helped. If you want results, you have to be a little ruthless. It's impossible to count on all the employees to be self-disciplined. Humans are lazy by nature, after all.”

Ning Ran nodded. “How long before your meeting starts?”

Lu Jingyuan glanced at her watch. “Fifteen minutes.”

“In that case, please use the next five minutes to explain what's transpired between you and Nan Xing. He used to be the one who sent the children to school, so why are you doing it now?”

Calmly, Lu Jingyuan replied, “I just don't want to trouble him.”

“That doesn't sound right. Why are you saying you're troubling him? That was never a concern of yours in the past. What happened between you two?”

“Ask him yourself!”

“We're best friends, Jingyuan. Why should I ask someone else about your affairs?”

I guess that's true. Lu Jingyuan answered, “Do you remember when he said he'd ditch me after he successfully courts me?”

Ning Ran nodded. “I do. Wasn't that a joke?”

“It wasn't! He was serious!”

Still, Ning Ran was skeptical. “That's impossible. He's not the type of guy who'd do that.”

“I saw him getting pretty intimate with another woman.” Rage swirled in Lu Jingyuan's eyes.

“Eh?” Ning Ran was surprised.

“He said he was in a bad mood and asked me to drink with him. When I arrived there, though, I saw him with women hanging off both arms! He disgusts me, and I no longer want to talk about him. I'm heading to my meeting.”

Quietly, Ning Ran observed Lu Jingyuan. Seeing how angry she is, I can tell she still cares about Nan Xing. “All right. Go attend your meeting. It's boring for me to sit here, so I'll spend time outside.”

Lu Jingyuan reminded, “Remember to put on your mask and don't run around. You're a superstar right now!”

Ning Ran sighed. “I know.”

Meanwhile, Nan Chen had finished his meeting and arrived at a certain music school with Qiao Zhan.

Upon entering its premises and parking the car, Nan Chen sent a message on his phone.

Usually, Qiao Zhan wouldn't ask about Nan Chen's matters. However, that day, he couldn't help but inquire, “Why are we here, Sir Chen?”

“To meet a teacher,” replied Nan Chen.

After a while, Nan Chen's phone vibrated as he received a text.

Then, he opened the door and left the vehicle. In the distance, Rong Yi, in casual attire, sauntered toward them.

Rong Yi was a dapper, elegant, and suave man. He was pleasing to the eye even at a glance.

When Nan Chen descended from the automobile, a few female students chatting in the distance started pointing at him.

“Look! There's a handsome man over there.”

“I've never seen him before. Is he a senior here?”

“Definitely not! If he is, I would've started pursuing him a long time ago.”

“Look! He's greeting Mr. Rong! He's here for Mr. Rong!”

“Oh my goodness! He's Mr. Rong's friend! No wonder he's so handsome!”

“If he works here, our school will have two handsome teachers in the future and be the best in the city!”

Concurrently, Rong Yi gestured for Nan Chen to follow him. “Let's head to my office. You always attract too much attention wherever you appear, Mr. Chen.”

The female students swooned over Nan Chen and Rong Yi when the men passed them by.

When the male students noticed how the usually aloof female students were fawning over Nan Chen, the former group was furious. So, all women are shallow and only love handsome men!
