My Wife is the Asura Empress

Chapter 343: A Tragic Tale: Madame's True Identity

Chapter 343: A Tragic Tale: Madame's True Identity

As the mysterious girl turned to face them, Rio was taken aback by her otherworldly beauty. Her visage was reminiscent of a serene moonlit night, casting an ethereal glow that was both enchanting and mesmerizing.

Despite her stunning appearance, Rio couldn't help but notice the flicker of hatred and sadness hidden within her captivating blue eyes as they gazed at the duo. She wore a white dress that seemed to amplify her presence, her confident smile radiating an aura of power. Rio sensed that she was far stronger than him, even though he had recently surpassed Lia in strength.

What shocked Rio, even more, was the sight of Emperor Dylan, bound like a commoner to a chair. Upon hearing the girl's voice, Dylan opened his eyes and looked at Lia and Rio. However, it was evident that he lacked the courage to maintain eye contact, as though ashamed of something.

Lia's voice turned icy, chilling the air around them. "How dare you imprison Father?" The temperature in the garden plummeted as her anger fueled the freezing environment. Yet, the mysterious girl showed no fear in the face of Lia's wrath.

"Is my greeting not to your liking, dear sister? I thought, at the very least, my beloved sibling would greet me with love and embrace me, but it seems I was mistaken," the mysterious silver-haired lady said, her voice laced with a mix of sadness and bitterness. Though she appeared to be feigning her disappointment, Rio could sense the genuine heartache in her words as she lamented Lia's reaction.

"Sister?" Lia's brow furrowed in confusion, unable to grasp the meaning behind the woman's claim.

"Don't pretend you're ignorant," the woman continued, her voice seething with resentment.

"Even if you truly don't know, allow me to enlighten you. We were born on the same day, but I wasn't as fortunate as you, for I was born with blue eyes. Emperor Dylan blamed our mother for my impure bloodline and deemed me an embarrassment to the empire.

Mother had no choice but to take me away, and we were forced to leave the castle. Why? It was because my sister was born with the pure Devlin bloodline, while mine was tainted by our mother's human heritage, which manifested in my eyes." As the woman narrated her tragic story, her voice trembled with hatred and sorrow, the depth of her emotions directed at both Dylan and Lia.

Upon hearing the story, Lia found it hard to believe, but as her eyes turned toward Emperor Dylan, it was evident that the girl was telling the truth.

Rio's thoughts churned with contempt, "I knew from day one that this emperor was no good. To have the heart to abandon his own daughter like this...he's insane." He felt genuine sympathy for the silver-haired girl and her plight.

"He has wronged you, and I'm sorry about that," Lia said calmly, clearly taken aback by the revelation but determined to reason with her newly discovered sister. "But we can talk it through peacefully; you shouldn't punish him in this way."

"Do you really expect me to forgive you and him for the pain you've caused me and Mother?" The mysterious silver-haired girl scoffed before bursting into laughter.

"I've waited for years, planning every detail. I wanted to kill this boy, but his wretched parents hid him from my eyes. When I finally learned of his existence and my powers were yet to be awakened, he was already under the protection of Lily Havenglow.

Then, I convinced his own grandfather that he was of lower birth and would steal his granddaughter and ruin her life. I wanted the old man to kill his own grandson, but that stubborn fool only sealed his memories and his innate talent instead...

However, that very day, Aliyah Havenglow found him just as I went to the hospital to kill him. After that, I even altered his destination, yet he still found his way to the castle and married you. I've tried to kill this boy, the one prophesied to save you, time and again, but he's always managed to survive..."

Lia's initial shock and sympathy for her sister's suffering vanished, replaced by a surge of anger for the harm done to Rio. Her face hardened, and her eyes blazed with fury as the silver-haired girl recounted her attempts to kill Rio and the chaos she had caused.

On the other hand, As Rio heard her statement, he started to doubt her identity. There was only one person he could think of who had tried to kill him again and again. Connecting her human identity to that person, a word resounded in Rio's mind, "Madame..."

The person standing before him was none other than Madame, the one who had wanted to kill him time and again. She was the person who sought to see him dead, and he had never understood why she was after his life until now.

Moreover, he finally discovered that the real villain behind his separation from Layla was actually this Madame, not his grandfather. Even after learning the truth, he didn't feel any more affection for his grandfather, just disappointment that the old man had been so easily swayed to harm Rio.

"When I attempted to manipulate the other clans, your friend dared to interfere," she hissed, her voice dripping with venom. "I have a little present for you." With a sinister grin, she reached into her spatial beast soul storage and produced a severed head.

The lifeless eyes stared blankly, the mouth twisted in an eternal grimace of pain and terror. She callously tossed it, the head bouncing and rolling across the ground, leaving a gruesome trail of blood in its wake. It came to an abrupt halt at Lia's feet, revealing the horrifying visage of Emily, her features frozen in a haunting expression of suffering and betrayal.
