Chapter 5 Empress Villa
Chapter 5 Empress Villa
"But to reverse the wheel of destiny I have to marry a human and…" Lia stopped speaking and her face turned redder when she thought about the next word of the sentence.
"And??? Can't you complete your sentence in one go? You're keeping me in suspense like a dark mystery movie." Rio complained.
'And he can love me enough to go against all the human race, only then can I be saved.'
She didn't say this piece of information as she didn't want to force him to love her just for pity. She wanted someone who truly cared for her.
"You don't need to know everything. I'll show you your new home. Follow me." Saying that She started walking out of the hall.
Rio hurriedly followed behind her as he was worried he would get lost in this huge mansion and the asuras would kill him if they saw a human walking freely in their mansion.
Lia walked out of the hall and went into a wide corridor. After walking for a while, a room appeared at the left side of the corridor.
"That door will lead you to our personal library, only me and my father can go in there. But now you can also use it. Although we have a royal library but some books you can only find here which we kept away from the others."
She pointed towards the left door while walking ahead.
"Aren't you afraid I'll sell these books and take them out to the human world?" Rio asked her as he saw she was showing him trust just on their first day.
"That oath wouldn't let you betray me unless you want your existence to vanish." Lia kept walking while telling him with a stiff voice.
'I'm literally trapped in her clutches.'
Rio swallowed his saliva nervously.
She went out of the building through a big door and they entered a garden.
Moonlight was reflecting on the surface of the pond in the middle. There were red roses like flowers around the pond which bear red berries of pebble sizes.
The garden was big enough to cover twenty auditoriums of his military school. It was surrounded by big walls on top of which a few asuras were patrolling.
He saw different types of trees and each one looked different than the one on earth. Some had colorful leaves and some had glowing fruits. One even had dolls hanging from it but these dolls looked like either beasts or humans.
But the one which attracted his attention was the tree in the center of the garden. It was thirty meters tall and it had white glowing leaves with rainbow-colored fruits.
His eyes widened looking at that tree as he could see palm size fairies hovering around that tree and some even sat on the branches.
Lia saw his expression as he was looking around the garden.
"I take care of this garden myself and no one touches it without my permission. Even you can't harm or pluck anything from here. Otherwise, it will be considered betraying me." She said with a threat in her voice.
Hearing her voice Rio came out of his daze state as he was lost watching the tree in the middle of the garden.
"What's that?" He pointed towards it while ignoring what she said.
"That's a rainbow fruit tree. Father brought its seed from an ancient ruin. We haven't found a second one. Nature spirits take care of it for me. If you touch it then I'll personally kill you even if it means for me to die." She glared at him as she saw he was attracted to her beloved tree.
"Shouldn't I be jealous of that tree that you care about more than your husband?" Rio shook his head in disappointment and looked at the side of the building they came from.
The building was extended for hundreds of meters and it was 30 meters tall. The stone was made to make it look white but he wasn't sure what materials the engineer used. The top of the building was made conical just like the castle in the medieval age.
It looked like they came out of the backdoor of the castle where the throne room and stateroom were present.
There was a small villa beside the pond, where Lia was going. It had two female guards around the entrance with spears in their hands. It was built inside the walls but it was separated from the main castle.
The villa was designed in a circular shape. There was a fountain in front of it. The only thing common with the castle was that it was also made of white stones.
Lia entered it while Rio followed her behind. However, the female guards placed their spears in front of Rio as he was about to go ahead. Spear almost hit his head and he tripped backward on the ground to dodge it.
"Others cannot enter the Empress Villa." One of the female guards glared at Rio whose hair was brown.
They were wearing the blue uniform but the purple stripes were thicker on her cloth. Their hair was short and the other guard had black hair. Their eyes were red just like other asuras.
"Don't stop him, he will live here from now on." Lia's voice sounded from behind who had turned to look at Rio who was patting his clothes to remove the dirt from tripping on the ground.
The guards removed their spears and bowed to her "I'm sorry your highness."
Rio then walked towards Lia who had already entered the Villa.
Female guards were gazing at Rio as if he was a heavenly prince to be able to enter the empress villa. No one besides the Emperor had ever stepped in here besides some trusted female maid and guards. So they were astonished by seeing him enter the villa.
Inside he could see a staircase leading to the second floor, while on the left side were a few rooms but one door was opened, which showed it was a kitchen where maids were busy making food for the empress.
On the right were big windows with glasses that showed the beauty of the garden and the pond. The flower-shaped chandelier on the ceiling was making a small tank glow which had golden fishes swimming around. The couch was placed in the middle with a table.
Lia walked past it and took the stairs, she entered a luxurious room that was big enough to be called a hall.
