Chapter 1279  True Form (Part 3)

As Evan activated his Gaze of Monarch skill, a red eye appeared alongside the vague silhouette of the purple eye, turning the sky a deep blood-red hue.

Because Evan had no intention of harming anyone, the red eye's power did not extend to affect the people within the closed world of Drayds.

Other than expressing shock at the sudden change in the sky's colour, the Drayds and other inhabitants displayed no abnormal reactions.

As the red-eye manifested in the sky, the purple eye stared coldly at Evan for a few moments before it began to dissipate.

Evan observed this and once the purple eye completely disappeared, he stopped using his Gaze of Monarch skill.

With the disappearance of the purple eye, Elora also calmed down. The overwhelming aura of destruction, which had been on the verge of spiralling out of control receded and returned to its usual dormant state.

The apocalyptic vision of the colossal beast hovering above her head disintegrated into countless particles of light and vanished completely.

Evan gazed thoughtfully at the spot where the vision had dissipated, recalling Azroth's words about Elora.

"She is someone who once terrorized the entire Origin Universe."

When Evan had first heard Azroth make this claim, he had dismissed it as exaggerated nonsense. After all, he couldn't imagine his gluttonous and adorable daughter as a figure of fear who had once wrought terror throughout the Origin Universe.

However, after witnessing the apocalyptic vision above her and the aura of destruction she radiated, he couldn't shake the suspicion that Azroth might have been telling the truth.

'Could it be that the colossal beast is Elora's true form?' Evan wondered, recalling the peculiar black hole-like structure he had seen hovering behind the beast in the vision.

The black hole devoured flesh, blood, and everything within its radius as though the beast was consuming the entire world around it. Comparing this to Elora, Evan couldn't help but think of her seemingly insatiable appetite and gluttonous tendencies.

He glanced down at Elora, who was now fast asleep in his arms, her small frame rising and falling gently as though exhausted from losing control over her destructive power and shrugged his shoulders, a faint smile appearing on his face.

To him, it didn't matter whether the beast from the vision was her true form or not. As long as Elora was safe and unaffected, he wasn't going to concern himself with the details.

To him, it didn't matter whether the beast from the vision was her true form or not. As long as Elora was safe and unaffected, he wasn't going to concern himself with the details.

Taking a deep breath, he called Elora back into his soul space. He then turned to Sylvan and the others, who were staring at him with expressions of confusion and expectation, clearly waiting for him to explain what had just happened.

Evan briefly recounted the reduction in his luck by one percent and described the vague silhouette of the massive purple eye that had covered the entire closed world of Drayds.

Hearing Evan's explanation, Sylvan froze in shock. Despite being the one who controlled the closed world of Drayds, he hadn't noticed anything unusual during the entire ordeal.

The closed world, created through the power of the World Tree, was under Sylvan's complete dominion. Nothing should have been able to escape his notice within its boundaries.

Sylvan didn't doubt Evan's words as he had no reason to lie about something like this. However, the realization that something so powerful had eluded both his perception and the World Tree sent chills down his spine.

He was already a Rank Six Core Evolver, and the World Tree was a supremely powerful artefact. For something to remain undetected by both of them was unimaginable and deeply unsettling.

Anastasia, who had been listening quietly also frowned. She had been using her Soul Resonance skill throughout the entire process, yet even she had been unable to sense the presence of the purple eye.

As someone far stronger than the average peak Rank Six Core Evolvers, Anastasia was deeply disturbed by the thought that she could not perceive such a threat.

Evan noticed their serious expressions and gave a faint sigh before shaking his head.

Turning his attention to Carla, he said in a light tone, "Stop worrying about things we can't solve right now."

He walked toward the area where Carla was being revived, his expression relaxed.

"Even if you think about it all day, it won't change anything. Instead of wasting your energy on things out of reach, focus on what's right in front of you."

Sylvan and the others snapped out of their thoughts at his words, nodding in agreement.

"Ashley, go and check on the people outside," Sylvan instructed in a serious voice.

Although Evan's use of the Gaze of Monarch skill hadn't caused any significant disruption, Sylvan wanted to ensure the inhabitants didn't mistakenly believe the closed world was under attack.

Ashley glanced at Carla, whose flesh had nearly fully regenerated and nodded. A silver light enveloped her as she vanished from the training room.

Evan remained focused on Carla's condition, his eyes filled with concentration. Although he hadn't yet fully grasped the conceptual energy of life like he had the conceptual energy of death earlier, he felt content with his progress.

He was confident that, with time and effort, he would soon achieve mastery over the conceptual energy of life as well.

Once he succeeded, he would possess all three energies intertwined within the Primordial Shadow Energy.

Five minutes later, Evan and the others noticed that the flesh on Carla's body was almost completely restored, leaving only skin to regenerate. Her soul fluctuations had stabilized, and her physical form appeared as good as new.

By then, Ashley had returned, reporting that she had calmed the people outside.

"It seems everything is progressing smoothly. We will head out for now," Evan said, satisfied that Carla's revival was going as planned and turned toward the exit of the training room.

"Huh? Why are you leaving? And—wait a second—why are you taking us with you?" Sylvan and Alaric exclaimed in unison, stunned as Evan pulled them along without explanation.

Evan rolled his eyes at their protests but didn't bother to respond.

'After living for thousands of years, these old farts have completely lost their sense of physical privacy,' Evan thought with mild amusement, shaking his head.

He couldn't help but imagine how mortified Carla would feel if she woke up to find two "old farts" staring at her in her birthday suit just after her revival.
