Chapter 122 - 122

Chapter 122 - 122

"Who in the company is claiming we did not stick to the contract?" Adrianna asked.

"It's their legal department. They said that we did not provide services that were up to the standards of the contract." The sales manager reported. ??

"Impossible. We are still at the start of the deal. Everything we have sent over are just samples that can be fixed. How is this a breach in the contract?" Adrianna asked.

"Miss Adrianna, maybe you could talk to the Cruz family to straighten things out." The sales manager asked.

"I'll call for a meeting. If they refuse to acknowledge I might have to bring the issue up to Mark Chu." Adrianna did not want to involve Mark. If she was going to ask for help from anyone she would ask it from her husband, not some manchild that had a crush on her.

Adrianna dialed Anton Cruz's number as the manager left.

"Miss Adrianna, how can I help you?" Anton asked over the phone.

"I will go straight to the point Mr. Cruz. I was just informed that your legal department is claiming that we breached our contract. We're not even one week into this partnership Mr. Cruz." Adrianna said.

"I was informed of no such breach!" Anton said in surprise. "Miss Adrianna I will get to the bottom of this. As you know this partnership is crucial to my company. I will call you with an update."

After ending the call Adrianna leaned back on her seat. She was feeling more and more tired lately. She suspected it was probably because Cedric was becoming more active in bed. The rooms in Mountain View were all soundproof so there was no need for them to be conscious of disturbing the other residents.

Adrianna took out her phone and called Cedric.

Cedric was in the middle of a meeting with the directors of Mor Co. when Adrianna called. He stopped the meeting and dismissed everyone.

As they exited they gossiped among themselves how Mr. Reyes would drop everything just to pick up a call from his wife.

"Adri?" Cedirc said as he answered her call.

"I just wanted to hear your voice." Adrianna hummed as she rested her eyes.

"Tiring day?" Cedric asked. He knew his wife quite well at this point and knew when she was having a difficult time.

"Yeah. The Cruzes are being difficult." Adrianna said with a sigh.

"You know I can deal with them right? You just need to say the word." Cedric told his wife in a serious tone.

"No, no, no. We had a deal, remember? I can handle this." Adrianna said.

"Alright. I'll see you at home tonight? Ayana is flying back tomorrow." Cedric told his wife.

"Yes. I'll see you. I'll have Mia drive. I've been so exhausted lately. It's our fault." Adrianna complained.

"Okay, okay. We can rest for tonight." Cedric said with a laugh before bidding his wife goodbye.

After dropping the call Cedric called Camilla and asked her to investigate the matter. As long as he didn't intervene it should be alright.

Back at Adrianna's office she waited thirty minutes before Anton Cruz came calling back again.

"Miss Adrianna, I would like to apologize for the confusion. Someone fed my legal department the wrong information. There is no issue with our partnership." Anton said over the phone.

"Who was it Mr. Cruz?" Adrianna asked.

"Ah, no one important. It was a mistake." Anton Cruz said as he tried to hide the culprit.

"Alright Mr. Cruz. I hope this doesn't happen again." Adrianna said as she dropped the call.

On the other end Anton was with his wife Lorisa De Dios-Cruz. He was furious, he never thought his wife would attempt to sabotage his plans.

He threw a slap on her face.

"Don't you know how important this project is for us?! Why are you trying to sabotage it for a bitch like her! Don't risk my hard work in getting close to the Chus." Anton Cruz scolded his wife Lorisa.

"Then when will I have my chance?" Lorisa asked as she wept.

"Once this project is done you may do with her as you see fit. We'll be more powerful and stable then." Anton told his wife as he pinched her chin and kissed her aggressively. Their relationship had always been like this, Anton spoiled her on the outside, but in private she needed to be his submissive wife.

Cedric was reviewing some documents when Camilla knocked with some news.

"Sir, we found out who was behind the false information with Mrs. Reyes' project. It was Lorisa Cruz." Camilla told him.

"Mmm. Thank you. You may go home Camilla. I'll be heading out as well. Please ask my driver and Leon to wait for me in the basement parking." Cedric said as he looked at some final details.

"Very well sir." Camilla said as she left.

On his way home Cedric checked with Mia if Adrianna had already made it home. Mia confirmed that Adrianna was already in their room resting.

When he arrived, Cedric found her resting, but not asleep. He gently massaged her shoulders and heard her moan.

"I did something you won't like." Cedric admitted.

"Did you cheat?" Adrianna teased.

"Nothing like that. I had your problem with Anton Cruz investigated, but I didn't do anything." Cedric told his wife as he hugged her.

"What did you find out?" Adrianna asked. She was genuinely curious and didn't believe Anton's excuse.

"It was a set up. Lorisa fed false information to the legal department as well as to various teams in order to sabotage the project. Anton won't let that happen. The Chus and the Laurences are way too valuable to him." Cedric told Adrianna.

"I guessed he was hiding something. I just didn't think his own wife would try to sabotage our project." Adrianna said lost in thought.

"Can you handle them?" Cedric asked his wife.

"Yeah. I'm sure I can." Adrianna answered with much confidence.

"You seem to be glowing now. I'm so proud of you. Now, let's take a shower then join the rest of the family for dinner." Cedric said as he lifted Adrianna to the bathroom.
