Chapter 346 - 346

Chapter 346 - 346

Cedric woke up to his wife's alarm. He moved Adrianna off his chest as the naked woman pulled the blankets closer to her. Cedric laughed and planted a kiss on her lips. He knew that Adrianna wouldn't be able to get up anytime soon because of their late night activities. So he switched off her phone and got off the bed to ready himself for work.

When he joined the rest of the family for breakfast he told the maids not to bother Adrianna, he told them to let her rest.

??

As he told the maids this, Miguel was passing and grinned at his friend.

"Don't look at me like that." Cedric said, rolling his eyes. "How many times has your wife gone to work late just this month?"

"A few." Miguel responded with a shrug.

"You discover sex and now you have it all the time, don't give me that look." Cedric said with a laugh as he picked his things up and walked to the car waiting outside.

When Cedric arrived at the office he didn't need to put on his disguise since he would be taking the CEO's elevator to his office and everyone on that floor was aware of his identity.

The assistants made it a point not to book any meetings on the executive's floor in the morning so that Cedric could come without a disguise.

"What does today look like?" Cedric asked as he sat behind his desk and started up his laptop.

Ian and Mae followed him inside. Since his father had retired, Cedric had given Marco a few weeks off and today was his first day back.

"A few meetings in the morning. Then you have lunch with the siblings." Ian informed Cedric. The siblings Ian was referring to were the illegitimate siblings of Cedric's bullies.

"Where?" Cedric asked.

"Constellations. I informed the general manager already and your private room has already been prepared." Ian said.

"Good. And what about the thing I asked you to do last night?" Cedric asked. He had been too busy with Adrianna to check if Ian had successfully executed his orders.

Mae handed Cedric a tablet.

Cedric saw that Carlo Juan's scandal was now the top trending piece of news on social media. Ian and the other assistants not only posted about his many mistresses, but his drug addiction as well. It also seemed like Carlo had dug himself into a large amount of debt from drugs and gambling.

"His father didn't bail him out?" Cedric asked as he continued to read through the news and the various comments online.

"No. Mr. Artemio Juan has remained silent on the matter. Their company also is yet to release a statement on this." Mae told Cedric.

"Get Artemio and Paolo on the phone. I want them to do something." Cedric told Mae as he continued to read through the public's opinion on the latest scandal.

Mae stepped aside and dialed a number.

"Any news from Damien?" Cedric asked Ian.

"None yet." Ian said, shaking his head. Ian knew that Cedric wanted to get to the bottom of the corruption issue in the police. He needed to find out who was truly behind Jam's killing and why they had done that.

"Okay. Let's just wait for him to come to us." Cedric said with a nod.

"Sir." Mae said as she handed the phone over to Cedric.

Cedric took it and placed it on his desk, turning it into speaker mode.

"Mr. Juan and Mr. Juan." Cedric greeted in an intimidating tone.

"Mr. Reyes." The father and son greeted together.

"Have you read the news lately?" Cedric asked with a grin.

"Sir, I did not know my son was involved with drugs or with gambling. We also don't know who released that news." Artemio Juan quickly said as he attempted to defend himself.

"I know you didn't, and it was me." Cedric confessed. "Your son insulted my wife twice last night." Cedric told them

"Sir, I apologize." Artemio said.

"Release a statement informing the public that his issues have nothing to do with you and that you will not pay a cent of his debt." Cedric ordered.

"Sir, but the loan sharks will come after him, and the police will arrest him." Artemio was clearly still concerned about his legitimate son.

"Mr. Artemio, I don't think you understand who you are talking to." Cedric said in a stern tone.

"Sir, I didn't mean to offend you." Aremio Juan said in a shaky tone. He knew there would be consequences for going against Cedric.

"Release the statement by lunch today." Cedric ordered.

"Yes sir." Artemio Juan said, changing his decision.

"Paolo, I expect this to be in the news by the time I meet you for lunch." Cedric said, telling Paolo to keep an eye on his father's action.

"Yes sir." Paolo said respectfully.

"If you fail to do as I ask, I will forcefully take your company from you and hand it over to someone more deserving." Cedric threatened.

"We won't fail you." Artemio said.

"Good." Cedric said, dropping the call.

"This will cause a stir." Ian told Cedric.

"The louder, the better." Cedric grinned.

After going through everything Cedric needed for the day Ian and Mae left his office.

Cedric's morning was incredibly busy, there were many things in the Reyes Group that needed his attention, as well as a lot of documents that required his signature. By the time lunch rolled by Cedric was exhausted.

"The statement is out." Ian announced as he handed Cedric a tablet.

As promised Artemio Juan had released both a personal and corporate statement saying that he wouldn't be responsible for the mess his son had created. He added that if Carlo was unable to perform at the standard he required he would be passing the company to someone other than his legitimate son.

Cedric smiled as he scrolled through the statement and read the comments. People were shocked at what Artemio had said. Carlo was his only child with his wife, people began to speculate on who would be inheriting the company.

"Tell Ram to send photographers to Constellations. I want their arrival to be captured. Let the bullies begin to shake in fear." Cedric ordered.

"Do you want them to capture an image of you arriving to meet them?" Ian asked.

Cedric paused to think about the implications.

"Do it." Cedric finally said with a nod.
