Chapter 634 - 634

Chapter 634 - 634

"So that's how you are sure that he is dead." Cedric said as he looked at their fathers.

Raphael Chan nodded, confirming Cedric's statement.

??

"We had planned to do a DNA test again when the technology got better, but we all suddenly got busy." Raphael Chan said with a frown. "And now, I simply don't want to disturb the poor child's resting place."

"Dad, don't you think that Andrew and his mom should be laid to rest next to Uncle Miguel?" Eric asked.

"It's what I want." Raphael Chan said with a nod.

"Maybe we can have it arranged after this whole Lucius Ting fiasco." Miguel said with a smile. He was in a much better mood now than earlier.

"Yes, we should do that." Nicole said as she nodded in agreement. "I think Uncle Miguel would like that."

"Are you satisfied with our answer?" Emilio Reyes asked as he looked at his son. He was sure that it was Cedric's approval that they needed to get. He had always been the leader of the group, even when they were still young.

"Yes dad." Cedric said with a nod, making Raphael Chan smile.

"Drinks?" Ray asked as he looked at Cedric.

"Sure, it's been a while." Cedric said with a smile. "I'm done with work today."

"Same." Ram said.

"Do you guys even work?" Ayanna teased. "It's like you guys hangout around my brother's office way too much." She grumbled.

"We also work in his office from time to time." Ram said with a laugh. "Plus, if we didn't actually do our jobs, the companies would have probably fallen by now. We aren't that irresponsible."

Cedric and the others all left after saying goodbye to their dads.

Ayanna decided to invite the girls to go shopping, she even made sure to invite the wives and girlfriends. So Ray had to let his wife use his car, while he rode with Cedric.

"Make sure to send them extra security." Cedric told Leon as they waited for Ray's car to arrive.

"Ced, relax, Aiden is dead." Ray said as he placed a hand on Cedric's shoulder. He knew that the attack on his family had traumatized Cedric and had resulted in him being even more over protective of all the members of the Reyes Clan.

"I will not risk a repeat." Cedric said, shaking his head. He had not only increased the personal security of each member of his family, he had also increased the security in all of their buildings and houses.

Seeing how easily both Aiden and Benedict had managed to get into their homes, Cedric had grown a little bit paranoid that someone would find a loophole in their system.

"I'd rather be over the top than to risk someone I care about dying. We still don't know if Lucius Ting will end up like Aiden, they were friends. Lucius looked up to Aiden like an older brother, that's very dangerous." Cedric told Ray in a stern tone. Nothing could change Cedric's mind when it came to protecting his family.

"Alright." Rays said with a nod. "I know you just want to protect our family."

Cedric nodded as he walked over to his car and got in. Ray followed right behind him and their car sped away to Hype Bar.

When they arrived there weren't many people inside yet, so the boys were able to use the front entrance without a commotion.

Inside, Cedric sat down and relaxed as waiters brought in some whisky and wine for them to drink.

"I've kind of missed this." Alexi said as he emptied his drink and walked over to the glass wall the overlooked Hype Bar's dance floor. "Since when have we become responsible men?" Alexi said with a chuckle.

"Well you have been dating one woman for quite a while now." Eric teased as he laughed at the younger man. "You were the last to errrr, calm down."

"I'm not complaining, I'm just saying I kinda miss just hanging out with the guys." Alexi said with a sigh.

"There have been too many problems recently I guess." Cedric said as he poured himself another glass. "We've all been too busy to just sit down, drink, and talk."

"Speaking of problems, do you believe what the dads said?" Miguel asked Cedric as he frowned.

"Not completely." Cedric said with a shrug. "I believe them when they say that Lucius isn't Uncle Miguel's son, but I'm not fully convinced that the guy is dead."

"I agree, they are still hiding something." Alexi said with a nod as he walked back and joined his friends.

"I don't understand why they keep lying to us." Ram told his friends in a frustrated tone. "Haven't they seen how bad things turn out when they take their lies too far? We aren't children anymore, we are quite capable of handling ourselves."

"In their eyes, we will always be children." Eric said, shaking his head.

"Do you think Lucius Ting is dangerous?" Miguel asked Cedric with a concerned look in his eyes. "I don't want a dangerous man anywhere near our family."

"It was our family that took him in." Eric said before Cedric could even respond.

"I'm sure the Chans will be open to listening if we had proof that Lucius Ting is not Andrew Chan." Ian told the brothers.

"They don't even know who Andrew Chan is." Miguel said with a sigh as he leaned back on his seat.

"I think Lucius is dangerous." Cedric said as he answered Miguel's initial question. "How dangerous, well that part I'm not sure. That's why it's important for Camilla and Benedict to gain his trust so that we know our enemy. I refuse to go against someone I know nothing about."

"Maybe we can find Lucius' real family." Miguel suggested.

"That will be too difficult." Ray said, shaking his head.

"Do you think it could be one of our dads that has been hiding the nurse?" Alexi suddenly asked as he looked up at his friends.

"It's possible, but why? Why would they do that? This makes no sense." Cedric said in a frustrated tone.

"We need to talk to that nurse, and soon." Alexi told Cedric who simply nodded in agreement. He wasn't about to give them false hope.
