Never Judge

Chapter 851 - 851

Chapter 851 - 851

When Dominic finally calmed down, Miguel signaled for Cedric to meet him outside of the dining room.

The two men excused themselves as they walked to the living room in silence.

"Is this something you would rather other people didn't hear?" Cedric asked Miguel.

The doctor simply nodded in reply.

Cedric gestured for Miguel to follow him as he made his way to his home office at the other end of the ground floor of the mansion.

When they entered, Cedric made sure that no one followed them before finally closing the door behind him.

"What did you have to tell me that you had to make sure that no one overheard?" Cedric asked as he watched Miguel pace across the room.

Clearly whatever Miguel was about to say was bothering him so much that it made the doctor who had done multiple life threatening operations anxious.

"Remember you told us that Lucius Ting was spotted outside of Dominic's and Yoyo's school?" Miguel asked his friend.

"Yes." Cedric said with a nod as he poured his friend a drink. He knew it was too early, but Miguel needed to calm down. "What about it?" Cedric asked as he walked over and handed him the drink.

To Cedric's surprise, Miguel didn't reject the offer, instead he took the glass and finished the drink in one gulp.

"Can I have more?" Miguel asked as he handed Cedric the glass again.

"Your wife will smell this on you." Cedric warned.

"She'll understand. V will understand." Miguel mumbled as Cedric filled the glass again and handed it over to his friend.

"Thanks." Miguel told him as he took a generous sip, before placing it down on the coffee table.

"So?" Cedric asked.

"Do you think it's possible that Lucius knows who Dominic is?" Miguel asked.

"Impossible, if he did then he should have taken Dominic a long time ago." Cedric said as he shook his head.

"Or could there be a kid in that school that Lucius would think to be his son?" Miguel theorized as he thought of the possibilities.

"We should get Jonathan in here." Cedric said as he took out his phone and quickly dialed his wife's number.

"Honey, can you send Jonathan to my office. We need to ask him something." Cedric said in a sweet voice, making Miguel laugh.

Cedric rolled his eyes at his friend's reaction knowing full well that he was worse when it came to his wife.

Miguel spoiled Veronica, anything she wanted, she got and Miguel never refused a request as long as he could do it.

"Yes, it has something to do with Dominic." Cedric responded to Adrianna's questions.

"Alright, thanks." He said with a smile as he dropped the call and picked up a pillow.

He threw it towards Miguel, who was too slow and was hit on the face by the soft projectile.

"Hey!" Miguel complained as he tossed the pillow back to Cedric. "What was that about?" He asked.

"You are way worse than I am when it comes to Veronica, so don't tease." Cedric said as he caught the pillow and sat on the couch.

"I really hope that there is a valid explanation for why Lucius Ting has been hanging around our children's school." Miguel said as he returned the discussion back on topic.

"I'm sure there is one." Cedric said with a nod as he heard a knock on the door.

He stood up and opened it to find Jonathan waiting outside.

"Come in, we just have a few theories and a few questions for you." Cedric told the younger man as he gestured for him to sit on the couch.

Miguel, who was still anxious, decided to stay standing as he occasionally paced across the room, something that was starting to annoy Cedric.

"Okay, I'll start with what the situation is." Cedric said as he too sat down. "Lucius Ting has been reported to frequent the area of our sons' school. He has been seen waiting for students to leave before leaving as well."

"That's troubling." Jonathan said with a frown. "Wait, could he have known that Dominic was his son?" He asked as he gave Cedric a worried look.

"I doubt it." Cedric said. "If he had known where Dominic was this whole time, he would have taken the boy. It's easy to prove that Dominic is his, plus he left a card asking to speak to his son. I think, from what he knows, Dominic is with your family."

"But my sister has never been spotted with a child." Jonathan explained.

"She hasn't, but it's possible that the kid was handed over to a relative or a trusted aide to avoid a scandal for your sister." Cedric told Jonathan. "Any chance you have a nephew studying at the same school as Dominic? And he has to be the same age."

"A relative." Jonathan said as he thought long and hard. "I have a cousin who's son is the same age as Dominic, but you also mentioned a close aide or employee. There are two children going to the same school as Dominic and Yoyo, they are also the same age as Dominic."

"It's possible that Lucius Ting thinks that one of those three is his son." Cedric explained to Jonathan and Miguel.

"Do you think he will do something to get closer to them?" Jonathan asked with a worried look on his face. It was clear that these people were quite close to them, which made sense since Lucius was suspecting that they had sent Dominic to them.

"Right now, possibly not." Cedric said as he shook his head. "Our priority now should be getting him as far away as possible from Dominic and those children."

"And what if Dominic wants to meet his biological father?" Miguel suddenly asked.

"Lucius Ting is a dangerous man." Cedric warned. "Do you really want to keep a window open for him?"

"You are not handing him over to the Esteves Family." Miguel warned.

"And why not? It's the only way to get Julia back, plus, it's not like Lucius is a good guy.." Cedric said as he got up and left not wanting to hear anymore of Miguel's reasoning.
