Chapter 535: Converting contribution points
535 Converting contribution points
However, when he heard the old man Inys' words he was shocked that the first trial was the most difficult one when compared to the second trial.
"Don't feel too surprised, master," The old man Inys felt something was not right and asked, "By the way, how did you patiently wait for the 111 years in the endless space, master."
In fact, it was the old man Inys, who was surprised the most because it was not a common thing to wait patiently in the endless space without doing anything.
"What? 111 years?"
Ajax was shocked when he heard the old man's words as he still didn't know that his body had experienced 111 years by some mysterious technique from the old man.
"Yes, master. Inside the dimensional crevice, I can control the time felt by others. Even though less than an hour has passed in the first trial, your mind and body experienced around 111 years which made me surprised,"
The spirit of the dimensional crevice slowly explained the logic behind the first trial.
'I guess, I did a good job by entering the inner world; otherwise, I would have definitely failed the trial,' Ajax silently thought in his head thinking back to the first trial.
However, what he didn't know was the old man had increased the time experienced by Ajax's body by 100 years because he didn't even show a tiny bit of irritation that made the old man curious to test Ajax's limit.
To the old man's surprise, Ajax managed to remain in the endless space without any expression on his face which made the old man let Ajax pass the trial.
"Master, you still didn't say how you managed to wait patiently in the endless space,"
While Ajax was in his thoughts about the first trial, the spirit of the dimensional crevice woke him up from his thoughts.
'Huh?' Ajax raised his brows and continued to think, 'Should I say I cheated the first trial?'
He hesitated for a moment before deciding to say about his cheating.
"If you don't want to say, then forget I even asked it, master," Seeing that Ajax remained silent, the old man Inys thought that Ajax didn't want to share his secret. So, he respectfully said Ajax not to share it he doesn't like to share.
"I cheated in the first trial; however, I can't say how I cheated you yet," Ajax looked at the old man Inys and said that he had cheated in the trial.
"Actually, there are no rules in the first trial. As long as you remain patient before I touch you, you are qualified for the second trial," The old man revealed a smile as he said according to him, there was no cheating in the first trial.
"Good hear that...haha," Ajax laughed when he heard the old man's explanation as he shook his head.
Since the old man Inys could take care of everything in the dimensional crevice, Ajax decided to go back to the squad building.
'Once I go back, I will take some good rest,'
This was the only thought in his mind as he was running here and there for the past few days.
Since he came to the Cursed wilderness along with his senior brother Paulin, he had experienced many events like undergoing a trial in the Never returning cave, visiting the black market and fighting the old man in the dimensional crevice, fighting the chimera-like creatures, entering the five-elemental world, fighting the demon army, killing an elite squad under the demon king Garreth and finally undergoing the trials in the ownerless dimensional crevice.
After going through this many events, what he wanted was a good rest and he decided to take that rest and stop bothering about the missions for a couple of days.
"Sure, master. But I hope you come back soon with the 10000 units of spirit consciousness capacity," The old man nodded his head and suggested Ajax to come back to the dimensional crevice as soon as possible.
"Hm"
Ajax nodded his head and waited for the old man to send him out of the dimensional crevice.
"Swoosh"
Soon the old man Inys waved his hands and Ajax started disappearing from the dimensional crevice and appeared at the place where he entered the dimensional crevice.
"Looks like my guess is right and the demon king has already left to the demon world,"
Ajax noticed that the demon king's face was pale and assumed that he could not stay much longer in the human world. So, he didn't ask the old man Inys to check for the demon king.
"Time to meet up with others,"
Soon, he checked his surroundings and muttered to him in a low voice.
"Twilight, come out and fly towards the exit of the cursed wilderness,"
He summoned the destructive dragon from his inner world and mounted on it before giving him the order to fly towards the exit of the cursed wilderness.
'Roar'
Hearing his master's orders, the dragon roared and started flying towards the exit of the cursed wilderness.
.....
At the mercenary guild building,
The mercenary guild was bustling with hundreds of mercenaries who participated in the fight against the demon army.
They were all here to collect their rewards from the mercenary guild.
"Only the captains of each mercenary squad are allowed to form the line to get the rewards for himself and his squad members, Do you understand?"
Sarah, the beautiful receptionist of the mercenary guild used some kind of artifact to increase the pitch of her voice and gave instructions to the mercenary squad captains.
"Also, all the mercenary squad?captains are requested to collect the data collecting bracelets from your squad members before joining the line,"
After giving all the instructions to the captains of the mercenary squads, Sarah went back to the counter and sat in her seat.
"Good,"
After arranging all the things around her, she looked at the long line in front of her counter and satisfyingly nodded her head before asking them to come for the evaluation of their points in the bracelets and rewards.
"11000 points,"
"6657 points"
"4762 points"
"1200 points"
"1199 points"
Soon, she collected the five data collecting bracelets from a captain of the mercenary squad and counted the contribution points in each bracelet.
"Do you want 50000 spirit stones or a low-level heaven grade weapon?"
After calculating the contribution points, Sarah asked that captain for his choice in selecting the rewards for the contribution points.
"Of course I will pick a low-level heaven grade weapon,"
Without any hesitation, that captain picked the heaven grade weapon because it was very difficult to buy even with the spirit stones.
"Follow him and pick a weapon of your choice,"
Sarah nodded her head and asked the captain to follow an old man who appeared out of nowhere.
However, no one was shocked or surprised as though they were used to it.
Soon, the process repeated as the captains exchanged their contribution points for either spirit stones or some other items.
