Chapter 129: Chicken and Chocolate
The administrative building where Thea and Nala got their books from, and the cafeteria, were only 2 of the many soon-to-be explored separate buildings, some were close to each other, while others were far away. Besides the books Thea and Nala got, they also each received a map of the school grounds which they quickly looked at to find the cafeteria. After a short 10 minute walk, they arrived at the cafeteria-building.
When they entered the cafeteria, Thea was shocked by what she saw. The interior was medieval fantasy and many wooden tables lined the room. Opposite the entrance, many chefs stood behind heated trays with food inside, many students were already sitting down, about half of them were already wearing their different colored uniforms, while the other half was in their home-clothes.
Thea witnessed students and what were probably teachers walking to many different food-stations before the chef behind the tray would give them a serving and place it on their plates. One would think that with the amount of students currently in the room, there would be long lines, but it was the opposite! It all worked so smoothly and there were so many stations, that lines were as long as 1 to 5 people at a maximum, and even then, the line moved forwards at a good tempo.
"Want to go take a look at the foods they are serving?" Nala asked as she looked up at Thea.
"Are you hungry perhaps?" Thea asked with a smile as she placed her hand back on Nala's head, before therapeutically scratching her head in a gentle manner.
"Mmmhh, a bit. Are you hungry?" Nala returned the question.
"Not really, I'm more interested in the types of food they are serving. Let's go and take a look, if anything seems tasty, just take it." Thea said as she walked to the food-stations with Nala, still keeping her hand on her head.
The slightly intimate actions between the two, coupled with Thea's looks, garnered a lot of stares. Nala was blushing and keeping her head lowered, but this just made it all the easier for Thea to scratch her soft ears.
Soon the two reached the food-stations, Nala took a tray and a plate while Thea just followed behind her. She stopped scratching Nala's head as she observed, together with Nala, all the different dishes they served.
Some were normal looking foods, like bread, steaks and vegetables, while other foods, served at separate food-stations, made Thea question the ability of some of the chefs. One such example was chicken cooked in chocolate! Thea almost gagged at the idea of what the combination would taste like.
Nala noticed Thea's expression and followed her line of sight, when she saw the food, she giggled before explaining the reason that food was here.
"There is a cooking course in this school. I heard last year, the end of the year task, was to invent a recipe for the school menu. Students would then vote on their favorite dish, apparently One of those 1st year students was an influential noble with little skill. In the end, students tried currying favor with him by voting for his 'invention', because of this he won and now his dish is here" Nala carefully explained, still a little worried Thea would feel offended about the way she spoke about nobility.
When Thea heard this, a frown appeared on her face as she looked at Nala and then at the dish. Seeing this, Nala panicked, unsure if Thea really was unhappy with her. As Nala started fidgeting, Thea loudly exclaimed: "What a fucking idiot would make something as stupid as this!".
Only a few things really annoyed Thea, abusing power wasn't what made her unhappy but the nonsensical combination of chocolate and chicken really made her upset.
When Nala heard this, her panicked expression disappeared, but quickly reappeared again. She quickly put down her tray before whispering some into Thea's ear.
"Shhh! You can't say that so loudly. This cafeteria isn't only for the first years, second years and third years also eat here. What if one of that noble's followers was sitting here and heard you say that!" Nala whispered into Thea's ear, tickling her slightly.
Nala really was worried, many students had stared at Thea just now and the chances of those students being 2nd year or 3rd year students was much higher than the chance of them all being 1st year students. On top of that, Nala still thought Thea was a low ranked noble or even a ruined noble.
"Hehe, don't worry about that~ *Muah!*" Thea said before placing an exaggerated kiss on Nala's cheek, making her blush in an adorable way. "Anyways, I've seen the rough level of cooking here, let's get you some real food!" Thea enthusiastically said before taking Nala's tray and going to several different food-stations, getting served a mountain of food.
When Thea eventually finished piling food, the two girls found a table near the middle of the room and sat down next to each other.
Nala helplessly looked at the half-meter high pile of food, turning even more pale when she remembered Thea wasn't hungry.
"I can't eat all of this" Nala dejectedly said in a low voice. She was a commoner her whole life, so seeing all the food in front of her but knowing she wouldn't be able to eat all of it, made her feel a little depressed. In short, she disliked wasting.
"What you don't finish, I'll finish." Thea said with a bright, supportive smile that would make anyone fall for her charm.
Nala was stunned for a few seconds but helplessly smiled before saying: "Alright."
'There is no way she can eat much, especially with 'that' banger of a figure!' Nala thought to herself as she looked at Thea, suddenly flashbacks of Thea's nude figure appeared in her mind and her body reacted with a slight blush and her legs unconsciously closed.
Thea had been closely watching the loli-wolf-girl, so when she suddenly blushed and her legs moved, Thea noticed a small tent between her thighs.
Thea thought for a few seconds, but quickly connected the dots. Nala had looked at Thea's body, then she blushed and a tent appeared between her legs.
"Not having any naughty thoughts, are we?" Thea quietly asked with a grin, as she fed Nala a bite-sized piece of meat.
