Chapter 180 [Fire Wall]

Chapter 180 [Fire Wall]

"Welcome~home, Master Helix." Charlotte said while licking her lips.

Chad, Mason, and Halbert felt they had lost a liter of invisible blood and died inside.

"Welcome home, Charlotte." Helix chuckled with narrowed eyes.

BOOOOOOOOM!

"Charlotte! You can't keep this up!" Riley cried from a distance.

"I don't care! It hurt Hellie!" Charlotte screamed.

"If I can't roast this fucking thing, I'll make it suffer!"

"Charlotte! Until Helix is off the battlefield, none of us can hit it with our magic!" Riley cried.

"We can't hit it if you're in the zone either!"

"I'm happy that we can see each other every day." Riley giggled.

"It does feel like a home, and I'm glad we're all welcome to live here."

"You're suh~cha sweetheart." Charlotte giggled.

"I agree. Welcome home, Riley." Helix chuckled with a warm smile.

"I can't wait for this to be over.

Then we can live as peacefully as possible for as long as possible."

"Peace~fully, is debatable."

"Charlotte!" Riley screamed.

The blond was sweating heavily, and her eyes were getting hazy.

After a brief lapse, Charlotte dropped [Domain].

"GOOORN!"

A massive hand sprung from the earth and grabbed ahold of her body.

Gasps rang from the walls as Charlotte was lifted from the ground.

"Gaaaaaaahhhhh!" Charlotte screamed in [pain].

Boom!

The monster threw its back in the opposite direction, sitting up.

Even sitting, it was around 20 feet in the air.

Everyone helplessly watched as it lifted her 25 feet.

"Gahhhhhhhh!" Charlotte screamed in [terror].

The women otakus started screaming at the top of their lungs.

It was slowly moving her in the area above its mouth.

The otaku males at the table started taking note of her predatory eyes.

Everyone was swallowing, and three were taking real notes.

Charlotte was a Fairie in their eyes, but she wasn't a heart melter like Marie or Riley.

She was wild.

However, she wasn't [wild] in the way they were seeing.

Now that they understood Charlotte's relationship with Helix, many looked at him like a god.

"There's room for negotiation." Helix chuckled before narrowing his eyes.

"I'm okay with that." Marie replied casually.

"I'm happy for anything." Riley said with a warm smile.

The atmosphere was sickly sweet with a deadly spice.

Marie touched Helix on the arm.

"It's not [our] home, but welcome home to Myriad." She giggled.

"Welcome to Myriad, the place we have our home." Helix replied with a smile.

"Now that I think about it…. Everywhere feels like home when I'm with you." Marie giggled.

"Hah. Lover~girl has a good point." Charlotte grinned.

"I really don't care where we are, as long as we're together."

Rubbbbulerrrrublerrrublerrruble….

"Wait…!" David cried in a panic.

"Watch out, boy!" Macron roared at the top of his lungs.

"Charlotte!" Helix cried.

BOOOOOOOOOOOM!

"HEEEEELIX!" The otakus and weebs cried.

"Hellieeeee!" Charlotte screamed in an impassioned rage.

Marie blushed, but a warm smile washed over her face.

Charlotte insisted that she was Marie's girlfriend from the beginning.

While Riley accepted it, Marie didn't initially.

However, a couple of months later, she truly appreciated it.

It warmed her heart.

"Welcome home, Charlotte." Marie said while flashing her a dazzling smile.

Charlotte blushed slightly but quickly recovered.

"Tell me that later~" She said with an evil grin.

Marie narrowed her eyes dangerously.

However, she quickly found out that she was immune to Charlotte's behavior.

"I wish Alzeria felt like home." Riley said with a gentle smile.

"It's lovely here, but I could tell by Helix's expression that things are already complicated."

Helix gave her a wry smile.

"Yeah. It is.

"Good job, Charlotte. I'll start fortifying and trapping!" Helix yelled.

"Marie! Move to a higher vantage point where you can see better!"

"I'm on it!" Marie yelled out.

"Make the best decisions, and remember that I'm wearing gear that can take a beating!"

"... R-Right! I'll do my best!" She replied nervously while running away.

Helix pulled out fortification circles and threw them around Charlotte's feet and general area.

"Charlotte, hold [Domain] a bit longer until I can set the reinforcement and flood spells." He requested.

"GOOOOO—!"

BOOM!

"I'll do my best! Hurry the hell up!" Charlotte yelled.

"I'm on it!" Helix replied.

"YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAH!"

A battle cry rang out in the distance.

"Those idiots!" Helix yelled.

"Riley! Make contact with Masov and tell him we can handle this alone!"

"On it!" Riley yelled before running away at lightning speed.

BOOOOOOOM!

"Gahhhhhhh!"

Charlotte flung thirty feet back.

"Charlotte!" Helix cried out while laying the second set of circles.

Boom!

Boom!

Helix jolted back as the monster stood up.

It was forty feet tall, so every step cracked the earth.

He hadn't activated the reinforce spell yet, so he was blown away.

Riley ran at full speed to where the soldiers were preparing to head out.

Masov had just been given a battle harangue, and they were preparing to move the mages and support artillery to the back lines.

"GOOOOOOOOOOORRRRN!"

"RIley! Protect the soldiers!" Helix screamed.

Riley turned around fifty meters away from the troops.

"[Wind Wall]!" Riley screamed.

Huge gusting winds tore through the earth at a lightning pace.

Massive boulders were ripped from the earth and shot across the battlefield.

A massive wind wall spanning fifty meters spread out in front of the troops.

It was milky white like a tornado, but it was created in a straight line.

"CAAAAAN!"

The troops watched the scene in confusion.

However, a massive sun turned the center of the wall yellow.

Then the entire wall became orange.

Finally, it became dark red.

BOOOOOOOOM!

A massive flame shot across the battlefield, scorching over 200 feet over the earth.

When the fire collided with the air, it whipped it into a frenzy.

"What the fuck is she doing!?" Lieutenant Manson cried.

"Stand back, Lieutenant!" General Masov roared.

"[Cyclone]!" Riley yelled.

A massive ball of water materialized in the air directly above the fire.

Powerful wind gusts hit the soldiers from the back, causing many to fall.

As soon as the water and wind met, it exploded violently, causing massive tornado-like winds.

The area turned white, and the soldiers reflexively turned around.

They would have received third-degree burns from the steam alone if they were any closer.

Riley didn't use [Water Windwall] for that reason.

Had she done that, it would have instantly turned the area into steam that would have killed her.

She separated the fire across the battlefield and then used winds coming from the soldiers' backs to prevent the steam from killing anyone.

It was a bold move that is hard to think of in battle.

Wind fuels fire.

However, a [Cyclone] wouldn't have stopped the massive hyper-compressed fireball, and she couldn't use [Water Windwall] and another spell simultaneously.

It was strong battle prowess that greatly impressed Masov.

Shortly after, the mist faded, and they could see the cyclone continuing the spread out, putting out the fire.

Once General Masov could see the battlefield again, he was shocked.

The monster was missing a leg, and Helix sliced it up between gravity attacks.

Large amounts of blood flowed, and the ground around the monster sank.

"Wow. I didn't know the boy was that powerful." General Masov commented with wide eyes.

"Me either. I knew he was strong, but I didn't think he was strong enough to take on a small army." Oakley joked.

Masov gave his Major a wry smile.

"I'm joking." Oakley replied with a relaxing tone.

"He's strong, but I can tell he's well intentioned."

"I agree, but his intentions were never the problem.

Well, it doesn't matter; we need him, regardless of his behavior." Masov replied with a grave tone.

Oakley nodded and watched the battlefield.

"Alright, it's time for me to go." Helix announced.

"So soon!?" Lily cried.

"It feels like you just got here." Maze chuckled with a wry smile.

"Yeah. Unfortunately, I have to deal with some nobles." Helix chuckled bitterly.

"I'll be happy to get their auction out of the way, so I can pass the duties off once people feel validated."

"Should we come?" Riley asked.

Helix shook his head.

"If there's any trouble, I want to deal with it personally." He replied while staring into her light brown eyes.

"Things are tumultuous, and I have to ensure that General Masov, the Queen, and Defense Chief Salkey don't run into political issues."

Marie sent him a wry smile, and Charlotte frowned from his back.

Helix burst into laughter.

"Don't worry, you three. Finish up here, and I'll see you when I get home." He laughed.

"You can return to bodyguard duty tomorrow.

We have an early demonstration tomorrow and need to leave by ten.

So make sure this group gets up stupid early to do some training."

The three reluctantly nodded, and he walked out the door.
