Chapter 5174 Movement

Long Chen, Mo Nian, and the white dragon race experts had already left the Glacial Heaven Domain, but many disciples remained in the Heavenly Flame Devil Domain. Lacking the strength to enter the core region, they had kept their distance. When the devil creatures tore through the spatial barrier and charged into the core, the disciples fled in terror, not daring to venture inside.

It was only after the chaos subsided that they cautiously peeked inside, only to be greeted by a scene of carnage. The space within had collapsed, and blood was everywhere. By that time, Long Chen and the others had long been transported to the Glacial Heaven Plaza by Lu Fan.

At that moment, they were completely dumbfounded. They didn’t know what had happened, but the terrifying aura of the battlefield told them that an immense battle had just taken place here. These survivors, numbering in the millions, gathered together. Unable to find the commanders of their sects and races, they patiently waited to be transported out.

According to the laws governing the Heavenly Flame Devil Domain, once everyone had completed their tribulations, a powerful spatial energy should have condensed to transport them out. However, despite waiting for a long time, nothing happened. Unbeknownst to them, the laws of the world had been thrown into chaos and were in the process of repairing themselves.

It was only after several hours that their tablets lit up, and spatial energy wrapped around them, transporting them out.

Once they were out, they cheered with relief, finally free from the fear of being devoured by devil creatures. The past few days had felt like an eternity, and now they were safe.

However, their joy quickly turned to shock as they took in their surroundings. The entire Glacial Heaven Domain had been flattened. The once grand Glacial Heaven Plaza was reduced to rubble, with only two ruined statue bases remaining. If it weren’t for those bases, they wouldn’t have even recognized where they were.

The immense Glacial Heaven City was gone. Up in the sky, there was a giant hole that looked like a fiend’s mouth pointing right at them. Those disciples were terrified and immediately scattered, fleeing for their lives.

In truth, by the time they arrived, Pill Valley’s experts had set off in pursuit of Long Chen and the others. Thus, there was no one here waiting for them.

Not long after they ran away, the second batch of Pill Valley experts arrived. They locked down the entire Glacial Heaven Domain, but those disciples had already fled.

The Brahma Pill Valley was furious after the battle. One of their Eight Brahma Domains had been completely destroyed, the Domain Lord killed along with all the experts inside. Even the sacred statues of Lord Brahma and Fallen Daynight were reduced to rubble. This was a deep humiliation for them.

In response, the Brahma Pill Valley mobilized pursuers from the other seven domains. Although they knew that their odds of catching up to Long Chen and the others were slim, they still made the attempt.

At the same time, they ordered these pursuers to keep the matter strictly confidential. The situation was too embarrassing, and though they knew it couldn’t be hidden forever, buying some time to control the narrative was crucial. If they could kill Long Chen and the others before the news spread, they could at least salvage some of their dignity.

By the time the Brahma Pill Valley started searching the nearby domains, Long Chen and the others had long since fled.

Long Chen traveled for three days before finally reaching a city. During that time, he had recovered to about eighty percent of his strength. With his recovery nearly complete, he no longer feared any potential threats.

This city wasn’t particularly large. Upon entering, Long Chen noticed that it was a hub for various experts—a convenient stop for travelers passing through. The city seemed to serve as a transportation node, with many experts passing by, on their way to other destinations.

As soon as he walked in, Long Chen sensed a stream of divine sense scanning him. Glancing in that direction, he saw a three-vein Heaven Saint observing him. The Heaven Saint didn’t say anything, but Long Chen knew what this meant—Pill Valley had likely already issued arrest warrants for him in the surrounding cities.

This was well within Long Chen’s expectations. After all, the Brahma Pill Valley’s area of influence was huge, and this place wasn’t too far from the Glacial Heaven Domain. It was, in fact, right under Pill Valley’s nose, so surveillance here was expected.

Long Chen walked over to the transportation formation. He was about to hand over the fee and line up when a voice rang out. “Young friend, please wait!”

A tall elder in gray robes walked over. Seeing him, countless experts cried out in shock, recognizing him to be the ancestral lord of this city—a three-vein Heaven Saint. He was normally in seclusion and left the matters of the city to his descendants. For him to suddenly appear here startled everyone.

While the native experts were shocked by his appearance, the outsiders were also frightened by his Heaven Vein aura and quickly retreated.

“First, I am not your friend; I am your bane. Second, if I stay here, someone will lose their life.” Long Chen shook his head, not even looking at him.

The elder smiled slightly. “May I ask if you are the High Firmament Academy’s dean Long Chen?”

“Why ask if you already know?” asked Long Chen indifferently.

The elder’s smile abruptly turned into a sinister grin. “So you’re the Long Chen that the Brahma Pill Valley is after. What a stroke of luck for me! A prize like you just walks into my city!”

As the elder laughed maniacally, Long Chen regarded him with a look of pity. It was clear that the Brahma Pill Valley had not informed their underlings of the recent events in the Glacial Heaven Domain. If they had, the elder’s reaction would have been one of despair, not glee.

The elder said, “Young friend, sorry, but your head is worth a Human Emperor divine weapon. I’ll need to borrow it.”

As the elder attacked, a three-vein Heaven Saint’s aura fully erupted, and his claw reached for Long Chen’s throat.

This fellow actually wanted to capture him alive. Seeing this, Long Chen snorted and raised his hand.

Long Chen’s strike shattered the elder’s claw, obliterating his arm and half his body. With a swift movement, he pointed a finger, and his Spiritual Strength erupted, piercing the elder’s head.

The elder slowly collapsed, a look of horror frozen on his face. Even in death, he couldn’t comprehend how Long Chen could be so powerful.

“How foolish. They’re so concerned with their reputation that they didn’t even tell people about this,” remarked Long Chen after he had done a forceful soulsearch. He discovered that the arrest warrant from the Brahma Pill Valley had just come down.

The warrant instructed that Long Chen should be reported immediately upon discovery, with the promise of a Human Emperor divine weapon as a reward for his capture. They didn’t ask people to attack him.

However, seeing that Long Chen had just advanced to the Eternal realm, the elder thought that it was unnecessary to report it. He could just capture Long Chen. And then... and then nothing.

Long Chen snorted, and in front of countless terrified gazes, he stepped onto the transportation formation and vanished from their sight.
