Chapter 2098: Change in Plans

Chapter 2098: Change in Plans

The Rifle Mages were swift in their judgment with the change of order. It did not take long for the Rifle Mages to aim and kill these grotesque looking celestials. Who the heck considered such fiends to be allies when they had the appearance of odd one eye faces and sharp pointed legs limbs?

Is it because they had majestic wings and a halo on a random part of their body that the Mong Kingdom believed they were dealing with kind hearted angels?

Jin did not know what was the reason how or why Mong Kingdom was able to work with the Celestials but the fact that they were Celestials gave him every single right to annihilate them. He was also painfully aware that by doing so, there might be a chance that he might shorten the timeline he would have for Ress.

Supposedly the celestials were wiped out from the face of this world, and the other celestials in their plane of existence would come to take revenge for them even though it was their fault for interfering with this world.

This was the only trait that every single person who knew the celestials imitately had spoken. They were a bunch of vengeful peeps who would stop at nothing to pass judgment as long as they had the reason to do so. It was vastly different from the demons who did not care and minded their own business unless it was personal.

So even when Jin had given the order to fight against the celestials, he was running overtime in his mind whether his preparations would be sufficient in preparing for this threat. So far, he had been planning for a five year run and thus he had given priorities to make Ress citizens to be comfortable while working hard.

This meant better facilities, easier access to quality food materials, tough training for the existing army, and most importantly hope even though he was the one who imprisoned them in the isolation barrier. The fact that he wished to change the place without outside interference was one of the reasons why he was confident about that five year plan.

However, now that the celestials were right smack in front of his face, he could not help but wonder how much time he truly had. If necessary, he might need to work overtime by utilising the dungeon portals since they have the ability to pass time even slower than they should have.

If he was able to create things within the dungeon portal, he might be able to have things that could turn around and prevent the five year plan from failing. The only difference was that his citizens needed to work round the clock and extra hard to keep up with the preparations.

Perhaps, he might need to abandon the idea of clearing the demons or even consider the possibility of taking them under his wing and training them to clear the Celestials.

Although his objective was to clear the demons so that he have more materials to play with and men to gain experience, his ultimate goal was to actually have full access to the land so that he was able to create a comprehensive defensive system against the celestials.

After all, if the celestials were able to destroy a planet with some world scale zombification spell, this meant that he needed manpower that could resist the magic spells. He needed defensive systems in place to ensure that if there was something worse than a world wide zombification, Jin can still withstand the attack.

But it looked like this plan could be scrapped and he should focus in making Ress into the fortress he desired even if it means sacrificing every single land for development for the protection he needed.

Still, the King of Ress was worried. What if the counterattack was not the actual 'mission' but it was actually another side quest that he had to clear. That was something he did not have control and this meant that the Celestials might attack consecutively for four years straight until the main 'mission' occur.

"ARRGGHH I do not want to think about it. This is so depressing." Jin scratched his head and he clear his thoughts and see how his current army was faring. As soon as the celestials reared their ugly heads for all of humanity to see, they did not hide their powers and fought with their fullest.

However, the Celestials honestly could not believe that their comrades could truly die from the explosive attacks the Rifle Mages had handed out initially. They did not expect Ress was capable of handing out such terrifying power that could eliminate them. So, the senior Celestials did not hesitate to push forth with whatever tricks they had under their proverbial sleeve to ensure victory.

This time around, it was not a shooting range for the recruits and Gara who was staying at the side to observe the turn of tides, had decided to emerge to the frontlines to take control of the situation as well.

The recruits were send back to the rear to provide support fire while the veteran Rifle Mages as well as the Commando Mages were given the green light to intercept against the Celestials as they pleased.

Shots of magic filled the entire skies and the dogfight made the entire surrounding extremely dangerous that Jin had replaced the 'broken' isolation barrier with another dome of barrier. One that encompass only the current battlefield so that no Celestials would ever break out of this without a fight.

While he knew that the barrier could be broken if the Celestials all put their minds into it but for now, this was the solution he was able to come out until he see whether any big 'boss' will appear to salvage the situation.

"To ALL Human beings in this battlefield. As much as we had dealt damage to you and the kingdom you represented, this is the reason for our isolation!" Jin had decided that this might be the time he needed to convince the remaining soldiers left in the battlefield.

But whether they were receptive to their enemies' reasoning, it all boiled down how they wish to accept this new reality.
