Chapter 155
Chapter 155
C155 – Listen to Me
Despite the tense situation, Jiang Chen’s face showed not a hint of fear.
“You expect me to just drop it because you say so? As if I have no pride!”
“A bunch of fools!”
Jiang Hao remarked, his face etched with scorn.
The four were instantly infuriated.
“You’re asking for it!”
With a growl, they charged at Jiang Hao, swinging their clubs with full force.
Yet, Jiang Hao stood motionless.
To the four assailants, it seemed Jiang Hao was paralyzed with fear, and they broke into malicious grins.
But just as their clubs were about to hit him, they caught sight of Jiang Hao smiling back at them.
The next thing they knew, their vision blurred, and they felt as though they’d been struck by a bullet train.
Their eyes bulged in shock as they were sent flying by Jiang Hao’s counterattack.
“Boom!”
“Ahh!”
The sound of bodies hitting the ground was followed by agonized screams.
Casually, Jiang Chen picked up a club and approached with deliberate steps.
The four writhed in pain, unable to utter a sound.
The sound of Jiang Hao’s footsteps seemed to herald doom, sending their hearts racing.
Looking up, they saw Jiang Hao towering above them, club in hand, an ominous smile on his face.
They trembled uncontrollably with fear.
“What… what are you going to do?”
“I belong to the Liu Yun Association!”
Jiang Hao was unimpressed.
“Liu Yun Association? Never heard of it.”
“I don’t really want to do much—just break your legs.”
With those words, he swung the club down amidst their terrified stares.
“Ah!”
Their screams pierced the air as they lost consciousness.
Jiang Hao shook his head at the unconscious men.
“They just can’t take a hit.”
He dismantled the makeshift weapon in his hand, finding nothing of value.
Without a second thought, he walked away.
It wasn’t until evening that someone stumbled upon the four and called the police.
But that’s a story for later!
When Jiang Hao got home, his mother had already prepared a delicious meal. The family gathered cozily around the table, enjoyed their dinner together, and afterward, each went their separate ways to attend to their own activities.
Jiang Hao had collected a number of books on the appraisal of ancient artifacts and set about studying them. Despite possessing the Spell Breaking Eye, which could reveal the truth of many objects, he had to examine each item individually, which was quite the hassle. However, once he developed a knack for identifying genuine antiques, he could effortlessly weed out a significant number of forgeries, making his task much easier.
……
The night passed without incident, and the next morning, after Jiang Hao had breakfast, his phone rang. “Who could it be at this hour?” he wondered, picking up his phone to check the caller ID. “Ah, it’s Little Fat!” he exclaimed and answered the call.
“Hey Little Fat, what’s up?”
Little Fat’s distinctive voice came through the phone, “Hey, monitor, everyone’s graduating and we’ll soon be heading in different directions. The other classes are planning reunions. What do you think…”
Jiang Hao was surprised to hear this. “Already?”
Little Fat’s voice carried a tone of complaint, “My dear monitor! If we don’t plan it now, should we wait until the results are out? Once the grades are released, those who didn’t do well won’t be in the mood for a reunion!”
Jiang Hao realized there was truth in Little Fat’s words. After all, not everyone was in the same boat as him.
