Chapter 450

Chapter 450

C450 – Laser Sword a Strange Blood Coffin!

The soldiers’ rifles were already restricted!

They were so wary of accidentally injuring their own teammates that they hesitated to fire a single shot.

With no other choice, they formed a tight circle around the group, yet no one dared to fire recklessly.

Moreover, firing their weapons could destroy the precious cultural relics around them, possibly causing a resonance that would bring the tomb crashing down.

If that happened, escape would be impossible for all of them.

In the midst of this, the archaeologists were screaming in terror. Quickly, a squad of soldiers escorted them to the safety of a nearby burial chamber.

Jiang Hao, concealed to one side, observed the skirmish before his eyes eventually settled on the massive blood-red sarcophagus.

?Since entering, he had sensed a subtle danger emanating from it, which is why he refrained from intervening, choosing instead to watch how events unfolded.

Wang Ming Yang was locked in combat with two adversaries. Despite wielding a laser sword, the technology wasn’t advanced enough to cut through everything.

?Put simply, his laser sword wasn’t of a high enough grade.

His opponents were armed with special weapons that his laser sword couldn’t slice through.

Moreover, the two combatants were of equal skill to him, leaving him struggling under their relentless assault.

Wang Ming Yang’s face was a mask of frustration.

“Who are you people? How dare you attack the Dragon Group!”

His demand was met with silence.

Jiang Hao, overhearing this, was taken aback.

“So, the Dragon Group really exists!”

Then, a series of screams pierced the air.

“Ah~!”

As the cries echoed, combatants from both sides fell.

They were not evenly matched.

Jiang Hao’s keen eye could tell that each of the assailants was a martial cultivator of at least the third grade.

The Dragon Group members, mostly around level three and armed with laser swords, could only just compensate for the disparity in their abilities, far from overpowering their foes.

?The clash resulted in casualties on both sides.

Suddenly, a figure in black broke free and made a beeline for the Imperial Jade Seal, sending Wang Yangming into a state of panic.

“You dare to defy the state? You’re signing your own death warrant!”

Wang Yangming’s threats fell on deaf ears as the men in black paid him no mind.

Unbeknownst to them, the blood spilling onto the ground wasn’t soaking into the stone slabs.

Instead, it followed the intricate patterns carved into the stone, pooling and flowing toward a sinister blood coffin.

The coffin absorbed the blood greedily.

The wounded, already in grave condition, felt their strength ebbing away. Their blood seemed to answer an unseen summons, streaming from their wounds and converging upon the stone sarcophagus.

?The sarcophagus glowed an ever-deepening red, emitting a faint, ominous light.

This glow clashed with the radiance of the Imperial Ruler’s Seal that lay atop the sarcophagus, as if attempting to dislodge it.

Yet the red light was insufficient, ultimately subdued by the power of the Seal.

In that critical moment, one of the assailants in black lunged toward the sarcophagus, reaching out to seize the Imperial Ruler’s Seal.

Wang Ming Yang’s eyes blazed with fury at the sight, and he bellowed an order.

“Fire!”

“Prevent him from taking the Imperial Ruler’s Seal!”

No longer restrained by caution, Wang Ming Yang commanded his troops to open fire.

At his command, a cadre of elite soldiers instantly trained their weapons on the black-clad figure attempting to claim the Imperial Ruler’s Seal.
