Chapter 511

C511 – Able to Torment Dahei!

Dahei’s heart plummeted at the thought. How could he have failed to notice someone observing him for so long? And even now, to his senses, this person seemed utterly ordinary—impossibly so. The more Dahei dwelled on it, the greater his wariness of Jiang Hao grew.

Catching the guarded look in Dahei’s eyes, Jiang Hao knew exactly what the dog was thinking and addressed it directly. “Yes, I’ve been keeping an eye on you for quite some time now!”

?Jiang Hao’s admission sent a jolt of shock through Dahei, who gaped at him in terror. “Holy crap, can this guy read minds?”

Jiang Hao couldn’t help but chuckle at Dahei’s astonished expression. “Relax, Dahei, mind-reading isn’t in my skill set.”

?But Dahei wasn’t easily convinced. Jiang Hao, seeing no point in further explanation, decided to be upfront. “Let’s get to the point. I’m here to offer you a place with me. It’s clear you’re without a home, and it’s quite sad. From now on, you’ll be with me.”

With that, Jiang Hao locked eyes with Dahei, his Spiritual Force enveloping the dog. Dahei tensed, staring back at the young man’s amiable smile. This infuriating human had left him no choice, locking onto him with a force that made Dahei certain any sign of resistance would provoke a terrifying retaliation.

?Dahei’s spirits hit rock bottom. He had just absorbed a wealth of Emperor Fluid, transforming into the king of dogs, and he had anticipated a glorious new chapter in life. Instead, he was confronted by this monstrous figure. How had he cultivated such formidable Spiritual Force?

Resigned to his situation, Dahei put on a smile and quickly laid on the flattery thick. “My lord, your kindness knows no bounds. You’re like a living Bodhisattva. I, Dahei, am incredibly fortunate to have encountered someone like you…”

Watching Dahei heap praise upon him, Jiang Hao basked in the adulation. His gaze softened even more as he looked at the dog. “Hmm, not bad. You do know how to recognize a good thing when you see it!”

Dahei was taken aback when he saw Jiang Hao, who was clearly relishing the moment, and couldn’t help but be stunned.

“Could his skin get any thicker?”

Yet, in that instant, Jiang Hao, without a hint of embarrassment or a skipped heartbeat, dropped a line and walked away.

“Come on, Dahei, follow me. It’s time to head home!”

Watching Jiang Hao stride ahead, Dahei suddenly had a stroke of inspiration and quickly responded.

“Right behind you!”

He advanced a couple of steps, then abruptly spun around, transforming into a streak of light as he dashed off in the opposite direction from Jiang Hao.

Jiang Hao seemed oblivious, continuing on his way back, all the while no one caught the slight smile playing at the corner of his mouth.

Then, in a blink, Jiang Hao vanished!

Meanwhile, Dahei, who had been fleeing for the better part of the day, halted, panting with his tongue lolling out.

“Surely… they didn’t catch up, right?”

With that thought, he glanced over his shoulder.

Just then, Jiang Hao’s familiar voice froze him in place.

“Dahei, you’ve gone the wrong way. My house isn’t this way.”

There stood Jiang Hao, right beside him, wearing a mischievous grin.

Dahei, terrified by that devilish smile, spun around and bolted once more.

But no matter how fast he fled, Jiang Hao was always there, keeping pace effortlessly.

After a while of this cat-and-mouse game,

Dahei collapsed on the ground, utterly spent. Jiang Hao was there, still smiling, as he looked down at him and asked,

“Done running?”

“You seemed to be quite speedy there!”
