Chapter 213 - Emerging From The Heavenly Furnace!

"Cheon Yeon, Cheon Baekho, you will be the ones to participate."

'I got it!'

As soon as the words flowed out of Iyeolhan's mouth, the voice in Leo's head immediately reacted, throwing out something new for him to think about.

[ Plot Change confirmed. Epic Event occurrence has been detected. ]

[ You have received 579 Reading Points. ]

'Epic?'

A new event rating had suddenly emerged out of nowhere as if to tell that the event that Leo had been waiting for was not as simple as he expected!

'Is his participation that important?'

In the novel, while Baekho would still manage to become a 1st rate Martial Artist by the time the Mount Hua Sword Conference would suddenly surface, he was only able to do so a month earlier than Cheon Sohee. The one to participate in this event by Yeon's side in the novel was undeniably Cheon Yong.

Now that he flipped around the order, however, they had exchanged the positions of an observer and a participant. Leo naturally had a reason to participate, but he didn't think something like an 'Epic' would appear.

From a certain point of view, the amount of change and effort that he spent to come first in terms of strength couldn't be considered to be little, but Leo was skeptical about that being the cause. As the character he became one with, Baekho's achievements were usually nerfed when it came to his ability's acknowledgment…

Although there was no rating ranking that could tell him what level was this achievement at, it was at least better than Unique ones considering how recurring they were. The other ratings were mostly special cases, but it was likely to be the middle behind Legendary events. Taking in mind what made an event a legendary one, a few guesses came to light.

'Did something else change or…'

The possibility that the conference itself had some change as some sort of butterfly effect response to his actions couldn't be denied. At the same time, even if left unchanged, there was a very important person on the list of participants!

"Prepare what you plan to take with you by the time of departure. If you have something else that you need, ask the server and they will procure things within reason."

'Well, that's something to worry about later.'

Cheon Yong's occasional gaze only intensified. Leo could tell that he was incredibly excited when he heard about the Mount Hua Sword Conference, but he ended up as a simple attendee. He seemed like he would accept torture rather than being incapable of joining a big fight like that!

'Sorry.'

The only reason that Cheon Yong refrained from protesting was the warning in Iyeolhan's eyes. However, he soon calmed down. Leo wasn't sure, but it felt like he recognized the fact that it was his shortcomings that cost him that chance…

"All dismissed."

`~~~`~~~`~~~`

After exchanging silent stares with the other three, Leo returned to his cave to find an unexpected visitor.

"Take it."

The absent Cheon Chang was actually waiting for him inside, his hands stretching out with something. It wasn't much, but his senior brother was really the three that kept on giving.

'Is this also the Heavenly Demon's?'

It was a clear white leather strap that could be worn to attach a sword to the back. Feeling its smoothness and durability from the first touch, Leo wondered if it was made from something like the White Tiger's skin…

"Our time training together may have come to an end, but I hope you won't forget our masters' teachings. Though I might be busy with a mission for a while, try to contact me once you have come back."

Compared to Rain who was quite emotional during their first separation, Cheon Chang appeared to be indifferent. However, Leo could tell that this was just how his personality was as another weirdo genius. Saying this much was equal to a ton of care from others… If it wasn't for how vivid the pain he accumulated thanks to him was, Leo might have been quite emotional.

"I understand."

Seeing the Absolute Spear walk away after a few words, Leo started to look around his cave to prepare for his departure. In reality, other than some pills that he accumulated, the only luggage that Leo had was a few changes of clothes and his weapons.

'This should be fun.'

Emerging to the outside world was a common practice exercised by most sects and Martial Families, but things were slightly different for them. Even though it had shed away its demonic name, the Heavenly Strength Society was still a 'big baddie' in the hearts of most.

While his body was still a few months away from the age of 15, Leo's mental age was much more than that. Understanding the world's true view of them would be helpful to orphans who hadn't stepped foot into murim, but it would only serve as a form of entertainment for Leo. Instead, he was more expectant of what he could achieve with the temporary freedom that he would gain!

Knock. Knock.

Since there was no saying when they would be able to sleep on comfortable beds any time soon, Leo spent the rest of his day in bed. Ignoring his weakening biological clock, he only woke up when his door was knocked.

"Did you sleep well?"

Casually chatting with Yeon who also took her chances for the last day, Leo left the bed to receive the large cloth he ordered to cover the Silver Dragon with. Although they were attending a Sword Conference, he naturally needed his full arsenal considering how it would end up…

After taking showers in turns, the top four trainees officially joined up in the dining room, standing before Iyeolhan once again.

"Ready?"

Receiving no comment, Iyeolhan triggered the third mechanism the room had, revealing a long flight of stairs leading upwards.

"Be sure to make it in time."

Without further explanation, 'Gentle Han' handed a rolled up scroll as well as a small pouch into Yeon before walking away… It seemed like freedom came a bit earlier than expected.
