Chapter 137: Why Don’t You Have A Taste Of Me?
Shi Beiyu let out a silent sigh of relief when Mu Siyin finally stopped asking him about the past.
“I’m sorry. I apologize on her behalf.” Shi Beiyu lifted Mu Siyin’s hand and gently placed it next to his lips, where he kissed it.
Mu Siyin looked down as she frowned slightly. She still felt that something was wrong.
However, Shi Beiyu did not look like he was lying to her.
“She’s your mother after all. I can’t do anything about it even if you didn’t apologize.”
Mu Siyin was obviously unhappy. She was looking forward to meeting Shi Beiyu’s mother at first, but now, she had lost all respect towards the woman.
Especially since she had already made up her mind to be with Shi Beiyu for the rest of her life, how was she supposed to get along with his mother?
In other words, what could she do if his mother disapproved of their relationship?
Mu Siyin felt like her mind would explode anytime.
Seeing how conflicted she looked, Shi Beiyu lifted his hands and carried her off the sofa.
This caught Mu Siyin off guard, and she instinctively wrapped her hands around his neck. Frowning, she asked, “What are you doing? You scared me to death.”
Shi Beiyu whispered, “Remember what you promised me?”
At that moment, Mu Siyin cast all her frustrations to the back of her mind and looked at him anxiously. “But…”
She scanned her brain for an excuse, but nothing came to mind as she stared back at him blankly.
“But what?” Shi Beiyu lifted an eyebrow.
Mu Siyin knitted her brows together and placed a hand on her stomach. “I’m hungry.”
Shi Beiyu looked at her intriguingly.
Worried that he did not believe her, Mu Siyin added on, “I haven’t had anything for dinner after such a long day at work.”
Shi Beiyu blinked his amber-colored eyes before looking at her. He whispered, “Why don’t you have a taste of me?”
Mu Siyin instantly blushed as she looked at Shi Beiyu, complaining, “My face still hurts.”
Shi Beiyu did not know what to do with her, so he could only let out a soft sigh in return. “Order what you want.”
Mu Siyin knew how disappointed Shi Beiyu was, but she really was not in the mood now. Her thoughts were all over the place, and she was quite frustrated too.
She did not want their first time to go down like that.
She needed to calm down and gather her thoughts.
In fact, Mu Siyin had no appetite. Her hunger was nothing but an excuse. Once the food had arrived, she only took a few bites before she could not eat anymore.
Seeing that, Shi Beiyu decided not to say anything and carried her into bed.
“Take a good rest tonight. Don’t think too much,” he said in a low tone.
After giving her a peck on her bright forehead, he hugged her in his arms and closed his eyes slowly.
That night, Mu Siyin had a dream.
She dreamt of Mu Siyun, her sister.
Mu Siyin saw her lying on the ground with blood all over her body. Bright red blood gushed out of her ears and nose and blended with her red-colored hair. It was a frightening sight.
“Yinyin… Save him…”
Her sister looked at her lifelessly as she raised her blood-stained hands in Mu Siyin’s direction. Extreme agony filled her face as she muttered the words.
“Save him…”
“Ahh!!”
Mu Siyin abruptly woke up from her nightmare. The blood had drained from her tiny face, and her forehead was drenched in sweat.
Shi Beiyu flashed open his eyelids the moment he heard her scream. Lifting his hands, he pulled her stiff body inside his arms and comforted her softly. “Don’t be scared. I’m here.”
Mu Siyin trembled as she breathed unevenly. Many years had passed, but she would still dream of her sister occasionally. Nevertheless, this was the first time she dreamt of something so gruesome.
