Chapter 74: I’m Still Too Young To Bear Children!
As Huo Sikai and Shi Ran’s figure gradually disappeared, the smile on Mu Siyin’s froze.
For some reason, her heart had been heavy ever since Huo Sikai mentioned children, and she found it hard to lift her spirits.
Upon seeing this, Shi Beiyu pulled her close to him and looked at her carefully. His raspy voice muttered, “What’s wrong?”
Mu Siyin immediately snapped back to her senses and let out a dry laugh. “It’s nothing. I just find your friends very interesting.”
“Really?” Shi Beiyu was obviously suspicious about her reply.
“Yes. What else could it be?” Mu Siyin lifted her gaze and looked into Shi Beiyu’s large, googly eyes.
Shi Beiyu became upset at Mu Siyin for lying to him. However, the fact that she hid the truth also proved that he should try harder to gain her trust.
After all, he was just nothing but a new boyfriend to her.
“Fine. I’ll trust you this time.”
Having noticed his strained reply, Mu Siyin pulled his large hands over and said, “Do you think that I’m lying to you?”
Shi Beiyu looked at her in silence. The answer was obvious. What else could it be?
Mu Siyin was rather conflicted as she did not know how to explain her emotions to him now.
She breathed in before she looked at him solemnly. “I won’t lie to you. Not now, and definitely not in the future.”
Shi Beiyu’s heart melted when he saw how offended Mu Siyin looked, and he replied helplessly, “Okay. Perhaps I was reading too much into the situation. It’s still early now. Should we go for a stroll?”
Mu Siyin knew that Shi Beiyu did not buy her explanation, but she decided to leave things that way. After all, it would only complicate things anyway. Time would take its course.
The September night air was particularly refreshing. Flowers filled the courtyard, and so did their fragrances. As they strolled through the yard, their moods improved significantly.
“Yinyin.”
Shi Beiyu was holding her hand when he suddenly called out her name.
Mu Siyin stopped and looked at him. “What’s wrong?”
Shi Beiyu looked at her pure smile before he narrowed his eyes and said, “Don’t bother too much about what Sikai said today. I will never force you to do something you don’t want to do.”
Shi Beiyu’s voice was clear and attractive, which reminded her of the soothing ambiance of a mountain stream. On top of that, the gentleness in his voice was enough to make Mu Siyin’s heart warm up.
She bit the corner of her lips and looked at him seriously before she said softly, “What are you talking about? I just heard that giving birth is a very painful process. There’s no other reason other than the fear of pain.”
Shi Beiyu was still uncertain of her reply. “Really?”
The look on her face earlier did not seem like she was afraid.
Mu Siyin nodded her head. “Of course! As real as gold.”
Shi Beiyu raised an eyebrow. “Does that mean that you’re willing to bear my children?”
Mu Siyin was speechless. “Hey! I’m still too young. Why do you keep asking me to bear your children? Can’t we talk about this in the future?”
Her last sentence lifted a heavy weight off Shi Beiyu’s shoulders.
“Okay.” As long as she wanted to have children, they could talk about it whenever they wanted.
With that, the couple held hands as they strolled around the villa. It was so romantic that it almost blinded the onlooker’s eyes!
Gosh, this was too much to digest! Their Young Master was holding another girl’s hand and strolling around the villa! They would never have believed it unless they saw it with their own eyes.
He was a man that had never been interested in other women, so was it a miracle that he was dating one now?
