228 Chapter 227: True to the end

If anyone else were to make such an absurd proposal to Damon he would have torn his head off but this lone wolf is one worthy of his respect. By the way, no matter how strong he is, the appearance of four hosts is no small thing. Even if he has a chance of winning, it would take time and time is not something he has.

“Everything I have done so far is for the sake of Gyro and this world…. If you know what is coming to take this continent, then these four are merely child’s play” Damon snorted disdainfully at the proposal.

Hearing his words Armanthos frowned. All four of these people standing above them carried an aura that could threaten him, if they are child’s play then what the hell is actually coming?

His eyes shifted to Damon with hints of hesitation in them. Damon has never been the type to be secretive or tricky. His plans of uniting the entire continent under one banner were obvious, especially since his subordinates may have already successfully taken control of the other kingdoms. Back then Armanthos saw this as another tiger trying to climb its mountain, so he personally tasked himself with putting Damon down but now he was seeing this differently.

Damon wasn’t just trying to climb this mountain, instead, he was also dragging along with him the rest of the continent because he believes that one mountain is the safest place for them all.

Peng!

Armanthos frowned as the death scythe appeared by his side, slashing an arrow attack in two almost effortlessly.

“Hahahaha!” A youthful green-haired youth laughed as his body laughed wildly as his body danced across the skies while numerous wind arrows rained down on them!

Swish!

.....

“Where do you think you are going?”

Suddenly a cold and detached voice rang as Armanthos eyes let out a deadly flash.

Territory!

Swoosh!

His eyes widened in shock as the arrows pierce through his territory and raced toward him.

Xiu!

Damon’s figure appeared in front of him and with one wave of his hand a powerful shockwave erupted from him, shattering all the wind arrows in one go!

“Your power is Sovereign in this world but these people have the power of another world… the laws of your territory don’t work on them because they are not meant to exist here” Damon explained patiently as he looked towards the four with a stern look on his face. He was surprisingly patient with Armanthos probably because he knew as soon as the lone wolf catches on, he will be of massive use.

“I see” Armanthos finally said with understanding lights in his eyes. He finally had a vague idea of what they are up against and he had to say, against these four together, their chances of winning are close to zero.

“We need to separate them,” Armanthos said but Damon shook his head.

“Anyone who faces the shield god alongside any other God will lose. Separating will only increase the chances of victory for one person while placing the other at a tremendous disadvantage” Damon said with a frown.

“So what do you recommend we do?” Armanthos asked with a frown.

“Fight together,” Damon said decisively and Armanthos frowned.

As a lone wolf, he has never fought against anyone with the help of someone he felt disturbed. That’s the main purpose of being a lone wolf so how can he break the sacred law?

His eyes flashed as he looked at Damon and realized why Damon was no different from a failed version of a lone wolf. There are rules a lone wolf must live by and Damon had even ruined his chances of awakening his true power even before he got the chance.

Sigh!

“Go ahead, deal with whatever is trying to destroy my Kingdom. I will deal with your enemies” Armanthos said with a frown.

He refused to forgo the true essence of his being for anything. When he requested Damon’s help, he didn’t mean fighting together as a team but fighting separately as individuals but together tied by similar goals.

Damon frowned slightly as he seemed to understand the reason for Armanthos’ choice. He wasn’t stupid and he understood the rules of the lone wolf, he just never chose to abide by them. His will to save the Gyro Kingdom hasn’t changed. He just felt Damon would stand a better chance against the opponent wreaking havoc within the capital.

“Lone wolves may be the epitome of freedom but they also die alone and in a lonely way. Most times, their corpses are never found. We all know how the lone wolf who came before us died. That’s why I refused to walk that path” Damon said with final advice before his body shot toward the direction of the capital, without looking back.

You dare!

Four figures shot into the air, chasing after Damon.

Xiu!

Suddenly a figure appeared between them and Damon with an indifferent look in his eyes. They felt like Armanthos was looking at them and past them at the same time as he pondered on Damon’s words.

“I don’t remember asking any of you to leave…” Armanthos declared in a tone void of any form of emotions.

Move!

The petite figure with the blood-red spear growled as he began spinning with her spear in her hands, instantly transforming into a fierce red hurricane.

“The words of a sovereign are absolute… none can refuse!” Armanthos seemed to be saying those words to himself, rather than the enemy racing toward him.

He crouched and watched his claws and fangs sprout. His hair grew wilder and longer as a part of it was dyed Silver, giving it the original silver and red look.

Huff!

Exhaling deeply, Armanthos opened his eyes and an invisible field spread past him, covering thousands of meters effortlessly

Sovereign pathway: Territory!

“I refuse to believe there is a force in the world that can stand against my territory!” Armanthos said those words but not at the enemies coming his way but at Damon who was already long gone.
