281 Chapter 280: Exploring at night

Huff!

Cecile finally regained control over his body and exhaled loudly, drawing the attention of everyone around. They all gazed at him as if they have seen a gold mine. A strange smile crept across Robert’s face as nasty thoughts plagued his mind.

‘Fuck my life’ Cecile lampooned in his mind.

If these people knew that the one responsible for everything was not him and the demon lord they fear, he was sure their minds wouldn’t dare wonder this far.

He could only smile bitterly as everyone’s attention was focused on him.

...... Later that night.....

It was late at night and no one was more exhausted than Cecile. He felt he was interrogated by the military but under Damon’s direction, he took all the glory for everything that happened.

“Let them send you to the military if they wish to. In chaotic environments does my power grow, as well as yours” Damon’s voice rang in Cecile’s ears and he frowned.

He felt like he was speaking to an emotionless soul who didn’t give a shit about his mental health, his do’s and don’ts plus more.

.....

Damon was solely focused on their goal and nothing else.

“See, I said I will think about it. This is not an easy decision for me” Cecile said with a frustrated stone and quickly went to bed, little did he know that only when he sleeps does Damon have the power to take over his body.

As soon as he fell asleep, his eyes opened revealing darkish green light. Cecile walked out to the balcony and jumped on it, gazing at the ground below in their massive mansion.

His eyes peered into the distance past the Allen family residence and into the dark world of the southern province. The resistance could be anywhere plus he couldn’t remember the city. It felt like everything was just different.

How could this world derail from the path he set up for it?

Without manner, it meant that all his subordinates must be dead and only those whose supernatural forms grant them some sort of immortality.

Without hesitation, Cecile jumped off the balcony and vanished into the darkness, leaving behind an empty room

.........

Each province is divided into two areas. The commercial areas where most developments are located. These places are the homes of the nobles of this region while the residential area was the worst part of the empire, given to the poor and normal citizens.

As soon as Damon found out about this he was immensely pissed. He realized the lifestyle between the wealthy and the poor here was far different.

Way too large….

Using Cecile’s knowledge of the district, Damon navigated his way through the commercial areas and snuck out. It was as if he was a part of the shadow, popping in and out of existence.

Swoosh…

As soon as Damon left the commercial areas he was greeted with a stench. His eyes narrowed as he looked at the world ahead of him in fury. The residential area was no different from a refuse disposal site for the rich. The streets were dirty, roads were a mess as well. While Damon moved he felt negative emotions directed at him and he understood why.

His nightwear was a black silky robe made of high-quality materials. It’s only natural someone like him coming here without guards was suicidal.

As he kept moving soon those following him in the darkness kept increasing but Damon didn’t seem to care. He remained oblivious to them as he navigated his way through the city, just wandering aimlessly.

With his memory as a god, he could trace his way back easily since it was photographic so he had no issues with that.

Thud!

Damon made a sharp turn to the right and soon found himself in a dark alley. His eyebrows narrowed before he turned around to gaze at the group of ten or so people following him patiently at a distance.

With their negative emotions so fierce, Damon couldn’t even completely ignore them

“These people are a good source of power” Damon responded calmly as he felt his consciousness growing his power kept growing through these people but it was just like a drop of water compared to an ocean.

He needed far more than this….

“The dark church…. Where can I find it?” Damon turned and asked the thugs with his hands placed behind him.

It was like a superior talking to subordinates. Seeing this brat who was only sixteen at best give off such an imposing air, the thugs felt furious they would have to deal with noblemen like this and now their kids dare reciprocate such an attitude.

“I will carve this kid up just a little,” someone amongst the group said coldly as he pulled out a dagger and dashed forward.

“They never learn,” Damon snorted disdainfully as he watched the man approach.

Even without his magic, he still possessed the fighting experience of his past life. While others could not see it, a dark veil spread across Cecile’s body temporarily boosting its physical capabilities.

His eyes seemed to be empty as he raised a finger and pointed at the enemy’s signaling to come.

Swoosh!

The man reached and stabbed forward but the kid sidestepped so casually, grabbed his hand, and taking advantage of the momentum the man gathered, he instantly flipped the man over, throwing him to the ground!

Bang!

The other thugs were stunned but they were yet to receive the greatest shocks of their lives. They watched as this little defenseless kid picked up the fallen dagger and casually slit the throat of the fallen thug as if it was nothing.

Blood squirted out of the opened throat but Damon didn’t seem to mind that the blood was pouring all over him. He just stood there, gazing at the rest with an indifferent look.

A suction force exploded from Cecile’s body as a tiny soul emerged from the body of the deceased, racing into Damon.

A refreshing feeling he hasn’t felt in over a thousand years spread through his body, giving Damon an ecstatic feeling.
