Paragon of Death

Chapter 89

Chapter 89

89 Chapter 88: Silver Knight

Regardless of whether Damon has chosen to openly admit it or not, one thing was obvious.

The werewolf curse was no joke!

To think something like this would change his entire life around for the better. Once a person skillfully masters a pathway their strength improves by leaps and bounds, imagine him mastering two now.

“Life and death move together, chaos and peace switch up like night and day, unavoidable!” Damon muttered as he was lost in his understanding of the concepts of his pathways.

While the creation and destruction pathway may sound mighty in the mind but in reality, these two are considered as one of the most comot pathways to learn. Since the concept behind the two pathways are simple and straightforward people tend to decline and push towards learning more ‘complex’ pathways for greater strength but Damon could see the hidden potential within these two pathways.

The creation pathway simply focuses on splitting one’s consciousness and fusing it into one’s magic, in a bid to give it life. Over the years, a few mages could be seen with elemental beasts on their side, created purely with magic. Giving life to one’s magic is no different from having an extra pair of eyes, arms, and legs in the battlefield. In a situation where your magic can consciously make its own decisions in battle and carry out tasks for its masters, it makes life far easier.

His eyes revealed something different and unexpected. While one could be considered cold, distant, and detached, the other was filled with life and warmth! Two different energies could be seen surging through Damon’s body as he continued practicing based on his understanding of the martial techniques.

His hand shivered and with every little movement it made, explosive sounds could be heard rocking the room! Every single movement Damon made felt like a killing move, bringing out the raw destructive power in all of it!

Only after practicing for an unknown amount of time did Damon suddenly snap back to reality. His eyes were open the entire time but he seemed disconnected from the world. His gaze fell on a tray filled with so many delicacies that had gone cold. With a simple glance out the window, he could tell it was already midday.

.....

“I have done what I can for now based on my understanding of this. What I need now is more practice. I need real opponents!” Damon felt agitated as he spoke.

Unlike before when he fought Kyle of the blood clan, he was just a child with an unstable warrior realm expert aura and scary magic but now he feels like his aura has settled down and his magic has gotten some direction. His eyes were soft and profound and his movement seemed different.

Damon may not have noticed the changes in him but anyone who watched him walk could feel the explosive force brimming within him, threatening to explode at any moment! He had truly become a cultivator who can command some respect now!

............

Clank!

Damon’s eyes squinted as he noticed the sounds around his door. If it was any other person from the royal palace they would have been able to open up easily but the constant sounds seemed like the person was trying to lock pick!

Huh?

Bang!

The door suddenly slammed open as an oppressive force surged into the room, spreading like a tidal wave!

Thud!

Following a series of heavy footsteps, a figure emerged from the depths of hell, walking forward. Hidden in mighty silver armor, with a great sword slung over his shoulder, a knight with a silver scarf walked into the room with his killing intentions radiating dangerously!

Not good!

Damon’s eyes dilated as he quickly pushed the manuals aside and sprang to his feet on the bed. His eyes were on the knight who seemed kind of mechanical and less human. The silver knight walked in and suddenly turned his attention to Damon. Within the helmet, a silver flash exploded and suddenly it felt like time slowed down.

Thud!

The silver knight took a step forward and shot forward! Normally, any normal person would retreat but to the knight’s greatest surprise, Damon charged at him as well!

‘To think his majesty expected much from this child, hmph!’

Those thoughts ran through the knight’s mind as he and Damon closed the gap between each other in just a second after they shot forward!

Time seemed to have paused with only the two moving. The knight gripped his greatsword tightly with both hands as he swung down, forming a silver arc while trying to split Damon in two. Meanwhile, Damon suddenly lit up in flames, but it wasn’t just him gathering flames to throw at someone, this time the flame kept rising like a ride threatening to explode at any moment!

Boom!

Bang!

Black smoke poured out of the room’s exit and from there, Damon jumped out! His right hand has a deep cut, leaving a deep wound, and strangely it wasn’t healing! His eyes squinted as he could see small flashing light from the silver sword in the hands of the silver knight and he frowned.

Silver!

“Lunar’s metal!” Damon hissed as he watched the silver knight walk out of the black smoke pouring out of the room casually. There was no dent on his armor or scratch, in fact, this man was in perfect condition as far as Damon was concerned.

“Who are you?” Damon asked with a frown.

His mind raced as he pondered and tried to understand who would be daring enough to launch an attack on him. The fact that anyone is yet to react to this explosion already means one of these two things.

It’s either the enemy has managed to isolate the area and prevent people from noticing their battle or the son of heaven and others have been attacked as well and everyone is currently battling for their lives, either way, this means he won’t be receiving any help, any time soon!

“....”

The silver knight said nothing as he began walking towards Damon, dragging his sword along with him. His cold silver eyes pinned on the youth on his knees and his right hand bleeding profusely.

Grrr!

Damon growled revealing his fangs as his eyes revealed a purple flash of light!

Boom!

Flames exploded around Damon, surging dangerously as if being carried by the winds and twirling around his fists.

Bang!

Damon and the silver knight threw themselves at each other as soon as possible! The silver sword was once again swung down, but this time Damon didn’t attempt to dodge, instead, he punched forward ruthlessly!

Boom!

Flame surged from his fists as it clashed with the blade!

Peng!

The silver knight’s sword was knocked into the air by Damon’s first punch, leaving his center open for the second!

“Kill!” Damon growled like a beast as his fist struck at the silver armor, only to meet a silver halo!

Boom!

Damon’s body was thrown across the large corridor like a rag doll. He hit the floor and rolled a couple of times before stopping.

Blegh!

Damon spat out a mouthful of blood and slowly crawled up to his feet with a deadly pale face as the invincible silver knight walked out of the thick black smoke once again, with zero damage done to him. Once again, he kept walking toward Damon slowly while dragging his huge sword along.

“Why don’t you flee?” A deep voice echoed from the silver knight for the first time since the battle started.

It was obvious Damon was in a bad condition now, especially since his wounds weren’t healing, yet he refused to run.

“Once you turn your back on the enemy, the battle is already over!” Damon snorted disdainfully as he slowly rose to his feet and his hair began fluttering.

The knight frowned slightly as he shot a cold gaze at the windows by the side as if he were searching for something. Slowly, the air blowing into the corridor through the windows became much more fierce and intense!

Damon stood at the center of the fierce wind with blazing purple eyes, staring at the silver knight with eyes filled with contempt.

“Since you are so eager to die, I will grant your wish!” the silver knight sighed and gripped his sword with both hands and a silver aura exploded from his body, surging into the blade directly!

Seeing this, Damon frowned but he did not retreat! His darkish purple aura exploded and one after the other, his aura took the shape of three massive purple wolves at least 5.10 feet in height when standing on all fours.

Two purple wolves stood ahead of him while one stood by his side. Each growling and drooling like actual wolves while gazing at the enemy fiercely. Even the silver knight who was preparing to attack was taken aback by this development.

“Creation pathway? Of all the pathways you could have chosen, it had to be something this basic. Truly, ending your life here would be for the best!” The silver knight snorted disdainfully!
