Chapter 190

190 Chapter 190 Lieutenant Astryd’s Strength

(Third person POV)

“Officer Trevstone, could you explain to these five idiots what a huge mistake they just made?”

Desmond’s words reeked of cruelty and violence in such a way that everyone present could feel it, only Claire remained indifferent to Desmond’s attitude; Silvia on the other hand felt her heart beating at a thousand per hour without knowing the exact reason.

“Yes sir, defying a superior officer is a violation of the military code and can be severely punished depending on the circumstances.” While answering, Silvia managed to control her turbulent emotions.

The five individuals who stepped forward instantly paled upon hearing that they had just violated the military code but were also furious that Desmond had tricked them into doing so.

As if reading his thoughts, Desmond added:

“Well, it could be said that they followed my orders to step forward so there will be no military punishment, but they still dared to challenge me as their superior officer; I suppose they must have their reasons... let’s see, Officer Lynwood, what do you think I should do with these newbies? ”

Everyone immediately turned to see Claire as Desmond even took the time to point her out when he named her, even Silvia was intrigued by the course of events.

On the other hand, Claire just looked at Desmond with love without hiding shining in her eyes, and with a radiant smile while she said something that caused everyone to feel a shiver running through their bodies.

.....

“I think Lieutenant Astryd should teach them something more than military law, something like... The law of the fittest, you are much stronger than them so you are always right and they are wrong; if they refuse to accept it, you just have to beat them until you are satisfied ”

It must be said that nothing is scarier than the logic of a person madly in love, basically because they had no logic at all.

“Well, I can’t just hit them without giving them a chance, if someone repents now they can take a step back, there is nothing wrong with being a coward; at least it’s better than being brave and weak... Of course, at that point, it’s just not knowing the difference between being brave and being stupid ”

Mockery, cruel and naked mockery, Desmond didn’t bother even a bit to try to hide the ridicule he felt seeing that there were people who were stupid enough to challenge him; they were too naive to measure the consequences of his actions and too confident about their strength to even consider the strength of their opponent.

And such a thing only proved to be true when the five individuals stepped forward, seeing them still confident Desmond decided that it would be necessary to be extra cruel this time to teach everyone present a lesson.

“Officer Trevstone, would you be so kind?”

Hearing her name again, Silvia had a bad feeling for a second, but after seeing a kind smile on Desmond’s face again, she leaned closer.

Desmond didn’t even say an additional word and calmly began to remove his jacket, followed by the jacket Desmond took off his shirt as well; revealing a body full of defined and attractive muscles only slightly hidden by the undershirt he wore.

The few girls present blushed while stealing occasional glances on the sly, the boys on the other hand thought Desmond was just being cocky; Regardless of what those present thought, Desmond handed his jacket and shirt to Silvia.

“Now let’s see, it would be too cruel if I didn’t even give them a chance to make a move; so why don’t you start, kids? ”

Unable to tolerate Desmond’s teasing anymore, the first one to try to attack him was the boy with the reinforcement ability, the poor boy was overconfident when he hit Desmond directly in the chest, but all smug expression on his face faded when he realized that Desmond only seemed to move a few inches from his blow.

“Reinforcement type? What a coincidence”

As soon as his words finished, a steel gauntlet materialized on Desmond’s fist, and with a single blow he sent the boy who had just attacked him flying, there was no martial technique at all; It was a simple and flat blow but the boy flew almost twenty feet before falling to the ground never to get up.

“One less”

Seeing one of them fall so easily, the rest tried to be more cautious, however, what was the use of caution against someone like Desmond?

One of the boys tried to control the ground to bind Desmond, but his ability had only just begun when Desmond seemed to vanish in front of his eyes; a second later he felt someone grab him by the back of his head and his thoughts stopped a split second later.

Having slammed the boy’s face to the ground, Desmond said with chilling coldness “two minus” and reactive Full-Drive.

To be honest, it wasn?t even necessary for him to use Full-Drive or the Merciless Steel Gauntlet, however, he needed to give a great show of strength especially if he wanted to be respected as an officer despite his age.

No more than two seconds later another of the boys fell to the ground holding his stomach tightly while he vomited, taking advantage of that brief moment when Desmond stopped after beating another of them; a stream of fire was shot in the direction of Desmond’s face.

The attacker was none other than Brayan the idiot who pretended to be Claire, he had also been assigned to this squad, but he had stayed away from Claire all the time so as not to provoke her; who would think that the idiot would go to provoke Desmond in his place, though he might consider himself lucky that Desmond didn’t know who he was or the beating he would soon receive would be worse.

Without any apparent effort, Desmond dodged the flaming attack and without giving Brayan a chance to do anything else, Desmond used his ridiculous speed to appear in front of Brayan and grab him by the neck.

As soon as Brayan’s feet left the ground a fuzzy image materialized behind Desmond’s back, it was the fifth boy who seemed to have an invisibility ability; The boy had a victorious smile on his face, but it faded when a mocking voice reached his ears.

“You didn’t think I couldn’t tell, did you?”

The next thing the invisible boy knew was that Desmond hit him using the boy he was carrying in his other hand, a couple of reverberating fracture sounds all over the place followed by the noise made by the last two boys hitting the ground unconscious.

Not even a minute passed, not even sixty seconds, and five espers who considered themselves great talents had been defeated by a single man who was only a couple of years older than them; if that wasn’t enough Desmond didn’t even look tired.

Quite the contrary, Desmond nonchalantly walked over to Silvia and after cleaning the little dust on himself, he put his clothes back on; thus returning to his original formal aspect.

Although God knows that no one here would be fooled again by the formal and elegant appearance of his uniform or by the young face of his; to the recruits Desmond was no different from the devil.

The only people present who thought different were Silvia and Claire, both girls were looking at Desmond with different emotions in their eyes, but with something in common ... they were both slightly flushed.
