PATH OF THE STAR HUNTER

Chapter 384

Chapter 384

384 Chapter 384 Quiet Days On Earth (3)

Curly dark red hair, falling just a little below the ears, plump thighs, a plunging neckline, and silky smooth skin, all this accompanied by an exquisite feminine face with the best of the Nordic features; there was no doubt that Revna was a beautiful woman.

Revna was, of course, aware of her own attractiveness, but that didn’t stop her from feeling awkward posing in front of the mirror in the revealing maid dress Claire had given her.

On the other hand, Claire watched with sparkling eyes, scanning Revna’s fiery figure and nodding to herself multiple times.

Because of how short her skirt was, it showed off Revna’s thighs, almost all leaving just enough fabric to cover an inch below her buttocks. The neckline was wide enough to sensually showcase Revna’s assets in the chest department, and the sexy design of her dress only pushed Revna’s charms to the limit.

“Young miss, can I change now?” Revna tried to ask for a break with a pleading look, though a part of her couldn’t help but see her silhouette in her mirror.

However, Claire ignored her request completely and instead asked her own question.

“Tell me, Revna, have you done it with Desmond yet?”

Immediately, Revna felt a shiver run down her spine, she didn’t expect that question from Claire, and she didn’t exactly know the intentions of said question, but given that the answer wouldn’t change the result much, Revna was honest as she slowly shook her head.

“I see... Do you want to do it with him?”

.....

Revna’s face stiffened, but Claire didn’t pay her much attention, and she continued her monologue in a calm voice. “I can see the way you look at him, the way you talk about him, the madness in your eyes; You would do anything for him, wouldn’t you?

Revna just nodded. Claire stepped forward and rested her face on Revna’s right shoulder as she stared at their reflection in the mirror. Claire’s right hand supported Revna’s abdomen while her left hand rested on the front of Revna’s thighs; it was a suggestive but also possessive pose.

Looking at the reflection of Revna’s blue eyes in the mirror, Claire smiled with a hint of madness, not unlike Revna’s in the past. “I would do anything for him, even if it means sharing him with other women.”

Claire’s hands teasingly teased Revna’s skin for a brief instant before she tightened her grip, her fingers digging into Revna’s body to the point where it began to hurt, Claire added.

“But I won’t share him with just anyone, people may judge my way of thinking as irrational, but if I have to share Desmond, it will only be with women who deserve it.”

Surprisingly, at this point, Revna worked up the courage to interrupt Claire. “I don’t deserve that kind of favor from the Master. Master Desmond has already done a lot for me. All I want is to serve him.”

Claire nodded, her grip on Revna softened again, and her emerald eyes stared at Revna intensely. “How do you plan to serve?”

When it came to serving Desmond, the will of a mind as sickly twisted and obsessed as Revna’s was not something that could be underestimated. The growing maelstrom of madness in Revna’s eyes became impossible to hide in a few seconds as she was answering Claire’s question.

“Murder, torture, sabotage, steal, kidnap, frame, silence, and any other task that my master requires, I am the dagger that the master hides behind his back; I dirty my hands so that the master does not have to do it and there is no nothing I wouldn’t do for him.”

A gentle smile grew on Claire. “I see; you are a good girl, aren’t you?”

Claire stepped back, freeing Revna’s body; it almost seemed like none of the above had happened, given how calm the expression on Claire’s face was as she got ready to report to headquarters today.

Revna, on the other hand, looked confused; all the previous conversations came and went like the wind, leaving Revna not knowing how Claire’s mind worked. Still, the affectionate way Claire referred to her as a good girl made Revna feel that she had earned some sort of approval from his Master’s wife.

With her military uniform, Claire finished lacing up her boots, walked to the room’s door, and turned, giving Revna a mischievous smile.

“If you really want to have a bit of Desmond for yourself, you’ll have to be the one to take the initiative. Why don’t you try wearing that dress for him?”

Such a comment left Revna confused and excited. At the end of the day, no matter how much Revna said that she only wanted to serve Desmond, she had other desires and ambitions in her heart, and Claire showing her support was something that made Revna very happy and relieved.

But, orders are orders, and Revna had to immediately come to her senses to follow Claire and protect her from the shadows.

Passing through the kitchen, Claire caught sight of Sasha, who was eating her breakfast with a distracted expression on her face; Claire could almost see the chemical formulas materialize around Sasha.

Sighing at Sasha’s work-obsessed attitude, Claire walked past the alchemist and kissed the top of her head, tasting the softness of her hair for a moment.

Her slight gesture of affection was already somewhat familiar to Sasha, so she snapped out of her daze and smiled back at Claire, who just shook her head and left a comment behind before walking out of the house.

“Try not to spend all day in the lab, I know you want to support Desmond as much as you can, but you’re already part of the family; you have nothing to prove.”

The rest of the day was pretty uneventful, Claire having to stop by the barracks and fill out a fair amount of paperwork while she helped out with some of her squad’s administrative tasks.

Silvia, the second-in-command of the squad and Desmond’s unofficial secretary, had the heaviest workload; with her irresponsible lieutenant taking a vacation, Silvia had to take care of a lot of the paperwork Desmond was responsible for.

Claire heard on more than one occasion how Silvia complained about the excessive workload and how much she would prefer to spend time with her sister. Claire thought it was strange that she had never met Silvia’s sister, but she did not overthink it.

Finishing up with the administrative tasks, Claire headed to the medical department, where she hoped to find her best friend Melissa since she hadn’t had a chance to talk to her recently.

Although she was part of Desmond’s squad, Melissa did not have much opportunity to live with the rest of the members, especially in recent weeks. Ever since the bitter winter battle, the military infirmary and hospital had been completely full, and espers like Melissa with healing abilities had to work tirelessly.

Claire didn’t expect that she wasn’t the only person visiting Melissa. The other person even happened to be an acquaintance of Claire’s who also belonged to Desmond’s squad.

With a slim build and tanned skin, a somewhat handsome face, and a naive smile, he was none other than Morales, the young man of Latin descent whose ability allowed him to materialize crystal weapons.

His full name was Edgar Morales. From what Claire remembered, he came from somewhere in Central America, an honest and kind young man. Even though Desmond always complained about how noisy his ability was, Desmond seemed to like the boy.

It seems that Melissa liked Edgar too, maybe a little more than that, since it was rare to see Melissa smile that way. Feeling that it would be too cruel of her to interrupt the pair of lovebirds, Claire retraced her steps and instead decided to go to the Garden restaurant to chat with the girls there.

Sitting at the usual table that had practically become the only place of the Astryd family, Claire was soon served by the ever-smiling Kira.

“Miss Claire, it’s a pleasure to have you back. What are you going to order today?”

Although Kira did not possess an exotic appearance, nor was she a beauty capable of bringing down a kingdom, the girl was still cute enough to attract the attention of many of the customers. Still, both Claire and Kira ignored the surrounding gazes as they chatted.

“Tell Tania I’ll have the stew of the day. I hope it helps me take off the cold.”

“Ok, same old drink?”

“Of course. To all this, you have never told me how it is that the tea we have at home ended up here.”

Kira’s expression remained calm, and with a well-practiced smile, she replied. “Lieutenant Astryd is a great customer of our little restaurant. He helped us a lot during our first days with the paperwork to start work and even ensured that no one messed with us. It is only natural that it is highly appreciated by us; when Tania found out how much Mr. Astryd enjoys tea, she took the initiative to arrange to serve it here.”

As one of the people who knew Desmond best, Claire found Kira’s comment strange. Claire knew that Desmond rarely took the initiative to get involved in other people’s business and would never be the type to feel comfortable adding a group of strangers to his close circle. In other words, Desmond wouldn’t be able to so naturally incorporate Garden and the girls into his daily life unless, of course, Desmond had reason to.

With Revna’s existence and Garden’s sudden appearance coinciding, Claire already had a vague idea of ??the girls’ true nature in Garden and their relationship with Desmond. Still, as always, Claire decided to leave the subject untouched until Desmond told her about it.
