Chapter 611

611 Chapter 611 Bandits, the perfect training material

(Martial Sovereign World)

“Is it always so tedious to come here?” Lazy as she was whenever she wasn’t in her lab, Sasha couldn’t help but complain after the long walk that took them to Kryzsha’s mountain.

Claire, Cecilia, and Revna were used to how unenergetic Sasha could sometimes be. However, Xiauyue and Fei Long still found it strange. With how absurd Sasha’s mana reserves were and how much he had improved her physique with potions, it was painfully evident that she wasn’t tired. Sasha was just the type that preferred to avoid bothering with.

“Well, it’s usually a much more comfortable ride when you can fly.” Kryzsha responded to Sasha’s comment as she walked out of her cave.

“Certainly, that is a gift that I envied.” Sasha replied with a light but warm smile.

Having already exhausted her patience dealing with the angel of love, Kryzsha wasn’t particularly interested in conversing with the girls, so she got right to the point. “I guess you came for me to help them reach the eastern region of the continent.”

Fei Long stepped forward and bowed respectfully to Kryzsha before answering. “That is the case. I thought you wouldn’t mind if we brought a few extra people.”

Kryzsha shrugged, a rather unusual gesture to see on a dragon. “Don’t worry; it doesn’t make any difference to me; it’s not like I’m going to carry them on my back.”

In response to the dragon’s comment, all the girls gave her a strange look. Needless to say, they all hoped the journey would be on Kryzsha’s back. They couldn’t imagine any other way to reach the Eternal War Maiden Sect’s territory fast enough.

.....

Too lazy to properly clear up the girls’ doubts, Kryzsha did precisely what a dragon would do: use brute force to solve her problems. A rather draconic attitude for someone who always despises her own race.

Kryzsha tensed her right claw, making her joints crack with force, and with a single blow into empty air, the dragoness did the most absurd thing Claire and the rest had ever seen: she ripped through fucking space and time with brute force, creating a portal to their destination.

Completely different from the portals made with magic circles, or the strange pink portal Myrilla used to send them to that world, the thing created by Kryzsha could hardly be called a portal. It was more like a scar in the fabric of reality that the dragoness made to send them to the other side of the continent.

Not being experts on the subject, Claire and the rest didn’t know exactly what had happened, but they were sure of one thing, that fissure in space looked dangerous and unstable. Before the girls had a chance to have a say in the matter, the dragoness used one of her majestic wings and swept them all into the fissure.

The next instant, after suffering severe dizziness, Claire and the rest appeared in a different place on the continent from where they could see the coast.

While all of them were trying to get rid of the dizziness and regain stability on their feet, Kryzsha’s voice came from the other side of the rift in space. “Well, my part of the job is done. Come visit me when you get back, and don’t forget to bring souvenirs, preferably precious gems or food.”

Just like that, the gap in space was closed. As the only one with unique light perception, Cecilia caught a glimpse of something during the closing of the rift, a figure she recognized appearing behind Kryzsha. Although surprised, Cecilia had already had previous experience with how celestials do things, so she decided to keep her mouth shut and not say anything unless necessary.

Removing her thoughts from that figure she saw on the other side of the portal, Cecilia realized that someone in the group had a rather uncomfortable expression. Seeing how Fei Long’s eyebrows trembled, Cecilia recognized her gesture, having already seen it a couple of times in the last week.

As expected, Cecilia soon heard Fei Long speaking in a very colorful language. “That dragon daughter of $%&##.”

Xiauyue only sighed at the temper of her beloved. She had come to accept that the Fei Long bloodline made her highly temperamental. Xiauyue recognized how difficult it was for Fei Long to control herself most of the time, so she let her be when things like this happened.

Sometimes, love was not only to adore all the good things that the person you loved had but also to recognize and accept their defects instead of ignoring them. Instead of accusing or recriminating Fei Long for her bad temper, Xiauyue was sympathetic to the issue. She took the imperfection of her beloved and helped her work on dealing with it without putting pressure on her to change.

In response, Fei Long recognized her shortcoming and accepted the need for change, letting Xiauyue help her and apologizing when necessary. Since nothing and no one was perfect, love had to be understanding and empathetic on these occasions.

After saying the tenth insult, Fei Long calmed down, took a deep breath for a dozen seconds, and finally let her anger dissipate. “Sorry honey, I didn’t expect that crazy dragon to throw us like cloth dolls through a fissure in space.”

Xiauyue smiled lovingly and replied. “Don’t worry; she took me by surprise too. I didn’t think she would do something so ridiculous.”

Seeing the confused and surprised expressions on Claire, Cecilia, Revna, and Sasha, Xiauyue explained the difference between a fully formed portal and a space rift like the one they used. Hearing the difference between the two and Xiauyue and Fei Long’s previous experience of nearly being torn to death in a space rift a few years ago, Claire and the rest were pale with fear and anger.

Ultimately, unable to even claim, Kryzsha, Claire, and the rest had to swallow their anger. Seeing the coast in the distance, Revna remembered something and asked. “At least we are on the right side of the continent, right?”

Immediately, an awkward silence fell. Fei Long seemed about to spit fire, but Xiauyue calmed her down. “Wait a minute, let me check.”

Wearing her thick wooden slippers, Xiauyue left a trail of lilac as she used aura platforms to walk up in the air. A minute later, after reaching a few hundred meters in height, Xiauyue nodded to herself with a map in her hands and went back down to the girls.

“I recognized a marker on the coast. We are on the continent’s right side and surprisingly close to the Eternal War Maiden Sect’s headquarters.” Xiauyue expressed with encouragement before adding. “I hate to admit it, but Kryzsha knew exactly what she was doing.”

Seeing that Fei Long seemed to relax, Xiauyue nodded, quite proud of her beloved for quickly controlling herself. “However, we have a small problem.” Xiauyue added after looking at the map a second time.

Fei Long wanted to relax despite what had happened in the last few minutes. She hugged her lover from behind and leaned her face on Xiauyue’s man before asking what the problem was. To which Xiauyue replied. “Well, we are only ten miles from the outer edge of the Eternal War Maiden Sect, but we are just in a rather troublesome strip of territory.”

Fei Long smiled when she saw the area on the map pointed out by Xiauyue, she knew about the problem with the site, but she wasn’t the least concerned. For others, falling into this place could be a problem, but that was not the case for Fei Long and Xiauyue. Regarding Claire and the rest, Fei Long thought it would be an excellent opportunity to test their training.

For some reason, Fei Long’s smile made Claire think of Desmond when he was about to make someone miserable, and she immediately had a bad feeling.

As if to corroborate Claire’s hunch, Fei Long spoke. “Well, ladies and ladies, the reason why Xiauyue called this area a trouble spot is quite simple, this coast is full of bandits and slavers. You see, strictly speaking, this area is outside the jurisdiction of the Eternal War Maiden Sect. Still, for the entire southeastern continent, that is the only way to reach the sect. As such, it has long since become a hunting ground where criminals seek out the beautiful and talented young women who try to make it into the sect every year.”

Having been a victim of human trafficking, Revna seemed calm on the outside of her. Still, you could see a hell of malevolence burning inside her eyes when she asked a question. “The sect does nothing?”

Fei Long and Xiauyue glanced at Revna, finding clues in her voice and body language but opted not to delve into the subject and instead answered her question. “Are you kidding? The number of criminals the sect has massacred on this coast is enough to build a damn country. The problem is that this scum of society is persistent and difficult to eradicate, like cockroaches. But you can believe me when I tell you that the Eternal War Maiden Sect fervently hates these criminals.”

Revna nodded, satisfied with the answer but still harboring hatred for those criminals. She hoped she could find them to make them experience the actual hell. Little did Revna know that Fei Long’s following words would be music to her ears.

Putting on the front of a strict master, Fei Long explained. “You girls can consider yourself lucky. Thanks to that unreasonable dragon, we’re here almost a week early. This is the perfect opportunity for you girls to steel yourself through actual combat and earn some coins. As it happens, this place is perfect for doing both.”

The girls didn’t seem to be burning with excitement like her, so Fei Long tried to cheer them up. “Come on, girls, cheer up; it’s time to hunt bandits. There is no better training than that.”

Unfortunately, the only one who seemed excited was Revna, who seemed to want to start slaughtering scum.
