159 Chapter 158
159 Chapter 158
His eyes widened as his feet rammed into the back of her head.
He couldn't move his feet any further even with the momentum from the leap pushing him further.
His heart sank.
Her glowing blue hair had stopped it.
The blue glow wasn't just for the looks, it felt as if he had placed his feet on an ice chamber.
The skin on his bare feet peeled off as Ice quickly spread it's way up his leg. His leg was stuck, he couldn't move it and leap away.
Aurora's finger twitched and spikes of ice instantaneously rose upwards towards the two, aiming to pierce at him.
There was no escaping it.

'I'm... Losing...?' He questioned. 'Me...? To her...?'
Once the thought sunk in, the expression of joy on his face vanished.
Instead, a strong pure glare could be seen directed at Aurora who had thrust her arm at him to land a touch.
He knew that one touch would mark the end of the fight.

The thought of losing... To an inferior race nonetheless. It sent his anger to overdrive.
A loud ear-piercing roar was let out, as a glowing blue glow came from the middle of his chest.

[Thunder Manipulation: Lightning Outburst.]
The electricity and lightning gathered within him burst out like some sort of explosion, sending bolts everywhere.
Aurora blasted away while being electrocuted.
The ice which had been moving up his leg, began to melt as the pieces of armour overheated it with all the electric and thermal energy.
Aurora crashed onto the wall, her arm trembled as she rose it to stretched it out to him.
She wasn't finished, she still had one more trump card up her sleeve.
But he wasn't going to let her use it.
Although he was fast, he couldn't handle going full speed for too long, either his reaction speed wouldn't allow it or his body would break down before he could.
But in this case, he had no choice.
This time, before she could even make her move, he kicked off the ground, using all his speed.
[Thunder Manipulation: Thunderclap.]

His knee was out, and his figure vanished.

*Crunch*
His knee could be seen dug through Aurora's head and into the building's wall, a bolt of lightning passed right through it into the distance upon collision.
"That's one down... One more-"
His brows were raised in confusion. His knee had without a doubt pierced into her sillhoute and yet, there was no blood. Even the connection felt weird.
Upon looking down, the hair on the back of his neck rose up.
It was a body shaped just like her, but made completely out of ice.
It was a clone, a fake.
The ice, quickly spread through to his knee, freezing his bottom half almost instantaneously as Aurora emerged from the ice on the ground.
She had gone down a floor after being electrocuted and hidden beneath her ice while hiding her presence, just waiting for him to fall for it.
And now he had.
His eyes widened as he realised this.
The ice had completely entrapped his bottom half, he couldn't move.
Fear could be seen growing on his face as Aurora staggered towards him
Her heavy pants visible the closer she got towards him, the ice on the ground becoming even denser with every step.
The grin on his face had faded, still his arms were still usable, even if she had immobilised him, she herself wasn't in the condition to avoid.
Her stretched his arm out towards her, a glowing lightning sphere manifested itself while taking place.
[Thunder Manipulation: Thunder-]
*Crack!*
In an instant, his open arm snapped back.
His eyes widened, he grit his teeth in pain before looking to the corner.
There he could see it, Violet's floating figure, her hair glowing a dark purple whilst she levitated outside the building.
[Telekinesis.]
*Crack!* *Crack!* *Crack!* *Crunch*
The sound of cracks echoed throughout his body as his bones and arms twisted and bent themselves in an sickening manner.
His bloodshot eyes bulged out from the pain as his teeth scraped against one another.
It hurt, pure torture.
*Step* *Step*
The sound of the footsteps approaching him grew louder as she was now only a few steps away, the crackling of the ice resounded in the back of his mind as his heart began to pound faster and faster.
He looked up at her with his orange eyes, trembling as she looked down on them coldly.
Her hand stretched out towards him as she breathed out, before coming of a stop just ahead of him.
"W-Wait... I have fa-"
Without bothering to listen to what he had to say, Aurora placed her hand on his forehead.
Only this time she didn't hold back.
[Ice Manipulation: Silent Frost.]
Within his head was frozen from the inside out. The ice spread it's way down to his heart, quietly freezing it from within.
It's final beat resonated quietly inside of his completely frozen figure.
Aurora who saw this, stepped away before collapsing onto Violet's arms.
Ice spread from Aurora's figure onto Violet's but even still she didn't let go.
Fortunately the Ice was weakened.
"Did we do it...?" Aurora asked.
"If that question didn't jinx it... Then yeah we did..." Violet responded.
Despite that, relief was far from making it's way onto her face.
"Still, this was only one of them, I only hope it was on the stronger end." She continued.
-
Gray who had been looking into the far distance, smiled in relief.
[X-Ray: Level 1]
'They did well...' He thought to himself as he looked in Violet and Aurora's direction.
*Swoosh* *Swoosh*
"I don't mean to interrupt, Brother, but can you focus on the fight?!" Ria who had been leaping left and right, avoiding the strikes at her asked.
They were currently facing another Kessho on top of another rooftop.
This was the one Gray had found with his X-Ray vision.
Behind them were the three people who were facing the Kessho. Their sights were fixated on Ria, watching with admiration as she faced off against the enemy with her ability.
"Right, sorry about that-"
[Pause Step.]
Gray's figure vanished and appeared right beside the Kessho, he had a kick in motion.
[Fast-Forward.]
