Chapter 323 - What Happened?

Chapter 323 - What Happened?

Chapter 323: What Happened?

However, Lu Mingshu soon realized that they didn’t need to look for anybody to fight with.

They went on aimlessly, and on the way, some participants came up to fight them.

With the fighting on their way, they gained a hundred spirit fires shortly.

In no time, they had already gotten used to the fighting sounds.

Seeing the marks on the ground, Yan Wugui rubbed his hands and looked at Lu Mingshu in glee.

“A big target. Let’s go steal some benefits.”

“Hold on.” Lu Mingshu pulled him back.

“What?”

She pointed to the marks on the tree and shook her head. “Not an easy opponent. There might be many, and they have a precise trap.”

“So what?” Yan Wugui rolled his eyes. The biggest difference between him and Xie Lianzhen was that Xie Lianzhen fancied playing mind games, but Yan Wugui was straightforward and, if there was any problem, he would just talk with his fists.

“How about we-”

Before Yan Wugui could finish, they heard a girl shouting, “If you dare touch me, the Nie Family will behead you!”

They exchanged glances, and they could see fear from each other’s eyes.

Isn’t this... Eldest Miss Nie’s voice? Shouldn’t she be with the Floating Cloud young master? Were they both ambushed? If that’s so...

“How troublesome.” Yan Wugui pouted. They both agreed to avoid the four princes if they came across any. They weren’t interested in fighting for the top three or letting everyone know who they were. Unfortunately, they probably met one in the first round.

“Let’s go. We shall hide over there and watch.” Lu Mingshu pondered and pulled Yan Wugui along with her. Something’s out of place.

“Sure.”

Both of them hid well and move toward the fight slowly.

They found a spot where they could see the fight clearly, and what they saw shocked Lu Mingshu and Yan Wugui; it was only Eldest Miss Nie who was ambushed. It was no wonder Eldest Miss Nie said “me” and not “we.”

There were four people surrounding her, and they were obviously above average.

Eldest Miss Nie was already an arrow at the end of its flight. The space she had to move became smaller and smaller. Her weapon was a small sword, and she was still able to send her sword shadows everywhere, showing that she wasn’t weak.

But “wasn’t weak” didn’t mean that she was good, and the four people surrounding her were no worse than her.

“Who sent you?” Eldest Miss Nie gasped for breath while sending one of them a death glare.

The results were already clear, and the four of them let down their guards. The one she was staring at burst out into laughter. “Miss, what answer are you expecting?”

“You...!” It was clear the other party didn’t wish to answer.

The four of them exchanged glances and went up. “Now!”

“Hold on!” In an emergency, Eldest Miss Nie yelled. “Whoever hired you, I’ll pay double!”

“Oh, is that so?” The other party smirked. “But Miss, we need to live up to our reputation, and we need to take you back alive.”

The encirclement became smaller, and the four seemed like they were playing tag with her. They were not anxious to kill her, but it wasn’t simple.

The one standing behind her sent her suggestive looks. “They say that Eldest Miss Nie is very pretty, and now, it seems to be true. Look, she seems like she’ll cry if you pinch her. And her skill looks so smooth! Will it be that smooth if I touch it too?”

The rest started laughing out loud.

“How dare you!?” Eldest Miss Nie yelled. Since when had she been treated in this manner? She was the eldest miss of the Nie Family! Who would ever dare to say obscene things to her? She looked at them in anger and yelled. “My husband is just nearby, and he will be here soon!”

“Your husband? I’m afraid he can’t even save himself!” The man laughed. “But it’s okay, we can be your husband too. Anyone can be the Floating Cloud young master, right?”

“He’s right! Choose one among us. If you are still unhappy, you can have four!” The others burst into laughter.

Eldest Miss Nie was about to bite their heads off. “You...! I’ll make sure you turn into ashes!”

“Still acting so arrogant? You won’t shed a tear until you see the coffin, huh?” One of them pulled out his sword. “Hey, we should show her how good we are so she can pick!”

“Of course!”

Seeing the four of them staring at her like prey, Eldest Miss Nie screamed and started waving her sword. But the more urgent she was, the more she seemed unable to perform.

“Let’s go!” Lu Mingshu wanted to jump out, but Yan Wugui pulled her back.

“What?” She stared at him angrily. If it was another matter, she could have pretended that she hadn’t seen it, but to witness a woman being humiliated and not do anything was not something she would do.

But Yan Wugui shook his head and whispered, “Stay still.”

“But...”

Before Lu Mingshu could finish her words, the situation changed.

Clang! The small sword dropped to the floor.

Swish! The sleeve was torn, revealing her white arm.

Eldest Miss Nie could smell the sweat from them. She was now like an ant on a hot brick. I really can’t escape, can I? I would rather die than get humiliated by these bastards!

She had lost her weapon, and two people were holding her arm. A guy in front looked at her with a wretched smile, as if he was about to grab her.

“Husband, save me...!”

As soon as she said that, she heard a Plop!

“Ah!” The man in front of her was stabbed with an ice spike.

“Who the hell!?”

Before the other three could react, they saw a tornado coming toward them, and ice spikes flew at them one by one.

Within no time, the four were dead.

The wind stopped, and a person stepped out from the mess.

Prince Jiang!

She eyed the corpses on the ground in disdain before walking over to Eldest Miss Nie. “Are you okay?”

Eldest Miss Nie barely escaped from death, and she couldn’t seem to calm down.

When she calmed down, she looked up. Seeing Jiang Yuan, she snapped at her. “It’s you!”

Jiang Yuan nodded. “Yeah. Where’s Fu Yun?”

“None of your fucking business!” Eldest Miss Nie yelled.

Jiang Yuan sighed and reached out her hand. “It’s unsafe here. Come with me. I’ll leave once he’s here.”

“I don’t need your help!” Eldest Miss Nie held her injury and stared at her with hatred. She wasn’t so agitated even when she was being ambushed.

“You’re being watched though,” Jiang yuan said after a moment.

“That’s none of your fucking business either!”

Seeing this, Prince Jiang stopped talking, but she didn’t leave. If she did, Eldest Miss Nie would surely not escape if she was ambushed again.

On the other hand, Lu Mingshu looked at Yan Wugui. “You sensed that she was there?”

Yan Wugui nodded. “I felt it. But this Eldest Miss Nie is problematic; someone saved her, yet she’s treating her like an enemy. What’s wrong with both of them?”

No matter how she saw it, they couldn’t have any beef with each other. Even if they were both from aristocratic families, one was the precious eldest miss and the other one was an illegitimate child. They weren’t the same.

“Isn’t it obvious?” Lu Mingshu side-eyed him. “Over a guy!”
