Chapter 418: Nidoking Rank up?

Chapter 418: Nidoking Rank up?
"All the 4 techniques that you have learned, all of them are of a Red nature. That means all of them are related to physical powers.
There are some advanced concepts of Red nature, like striking your opponents with aura but you have got the basics of red nature. I would say that you regularly practice those techniques and when you reach certain mastery over 'Aura coat', you would be able to use aura to strike your enemy.
Red nature may be easier to learn but there are a lot of techniques in this nature.
You can start to learn the next ways or nature that is the nature of emotions but I want you to focus on the indigo nature."
"Can you tell me the reason?"
"After the league battle, you would most focus on tides and going to other regions for gym battles. Communicating with your Pokemon mentally is very important at that time.
It is also important to be able to properly communicate with wild Pokemons who have not reached king rank. So, that would help you a lot. That is why I told you to unlock psychic abilities before the start of the league battle."
"I will take your advice. So how do I start training in this?", asked Axel.
"Before you start to train in this nature, you must have a good grasp on aura itself. I don't want you to train in other natures for it cause it would be very complicated. So, first, you would cement your current techniques.
Don't worry, I will help you in this regard."
Axel and Red went to a training used for battle.
"First, we should train in 'Aura resistance'. I will pressure you with 'Aura pressure' and you will counter it with 'Aura resistance'."
Suddenly the whole demeanor of Red changed and a massive amount of aura came over striking towards Axel. Axel immediately employed 'Aura resistance' to defend.
He knelled to the ground and tried to use any much 'Aura resistance' as he could.
###
6 months were left before the start of the league battle. His Pokemons started to train in their body stats.
'Agility' training ground was made similar to Charicific Valley flying training ground. There were 2 components of the agility training ground. The first was to move at incredible speed and the second was reaction time.
Axel didn't want to make 2 training grounds for this so he combined both of them to 1.
To increase the reaction, many machines were placed all over the training ground where they would shoot rock of varying sizes to the Pokemon and they had to dodge it. There were multiple levels and these body\ stats training grounds would be enough till champion rank.
With each increase in levels, the number of machines that would fire those rocks would increase and their speed would increase too.
For increasing speed, it was an exact copy of the flying training ground in Charicific Valley. There were also some additional hurdles in the ground for non-flying types.
###
Defense and special defense training grounds were simple. In the defense training ground, multiple machines were placed all over the training ground where they would shoot rocks of varying sizes just like the agility training ground.
The strength of these rock-throwing machines was higher in the defense training ground compared to the agility training ground. There were also multiple levels on it.
Special defense training ground was similar to defensive training ground but instead of rocks, there were beams of 18 different types of energies that could be fired from multiple machines. The machines here were fewer compared to the defensive training ground cause a machine that could fire up 18 different types of energy beams by choosing was very expensive. These were the most expensive machines that Axel had bought.
###
When it came to attack and special attack, 4 things needed to be considered. First was the direction of the attack. Second was the penetrating power of the attack, third was the blunt force of the attack and final thing was the overall impact of the attack.
The 2 training grounds were made in such a way that the machines could calculate all these 4 aspects of the attack and special attack.
The training grounds was also made in such a way that it would help the Pokemons to boost their attack and special attack power. This could be turned on or off. This would help a Pokemon determine the 4 aspects of the attack if the attack and special attack power were boosted and compare it when it was not boosted.
###
Health was something that increased if a Pokemon increased their overall stat. This was the basic training ground in a nutshell.
All of his Pokemons took turns and started to train in these training grounds. Except for Steelix.
Steelix wanted to train its 'Ancient power'. It had already heard how powerful Charizard and Mamoswine became after training 'Ancient power'. So, it asked Axel to train in the ground type of training ground.
All the training grounds for 18 types of energies were made in a similar concept. These training grounds would first help the Pokemon in manipulating core energy. They would also power up them and make them easier to execute moves which would immensely help them in their training. And finally, they would slowly and passively increase the comprehension and power of the Pokemon in that type of energy.
That was why they were so expensive and that was why 'Steelix' asked Axel to train in there cause it wanted to learn the move as fast as it could. Axel also told Beedrill to train there cause he wanted it to master its pre-domain move.
###
After 2 days,
---
Ding!
Steelix has leveled up 'Ancient power' to level 40.
Ding!
Steelix is returning to its more primal self.
---
Axel ran towards the ground-type training ground when he saw this notification. Red was confused about this behavior of Axel but he also followed Axel to know what was happening.
Both of them could see that Steelix was shining in light brown light.
"Is it evolving further or is it ranking up?", asked Red.
Due to his experience, Red could tell that it was not ranking up but that was the only thing it could think of. Then it hit him. This must be due to 'Ancient power'.
Red was now excited to see what would happen to Steelix. Axel was also excited to see.
Slowly the brown light that covered Steelix started to mix with silver light. The process took around 6 minutes until the glow disappeared.
ROOOARRRR.
There were multiple changes in Steelix's body. Steelix was over 10 feet tall before but now it was around 12 feet tall. Its body was very shiny now with patches of brown color all over its body. Its body was properly proportioned now like someone had used a hot knife to cut its body edges.
There was not a huge difference like Charizard but there were many minute differences.
Steelix calmed down after some time and Axel looked at its stats:
---
Pokemon's name: Steelix (50 years old)
Pokemon Nickname: NA
Pokemon rank: Pseudo-king rank

Passive move: Resistance (Stage I)
Core: Ground (Mastered)
Ancient Power: 0%
Hidden power: Water (0%)
---
There were many changes in Steelix's stats. The first and the obvious one was the addition of 'Ancient power' tab. The basic stats of Steelix had risen to an exponential level. Axel was surprised that its special attack rose to A rank.
Next was the moves. First, it had finally learned 'Sand domain'. 'Ancient power' might be the last straw it needed to learn the move. 'Sand domain' would literally create an area filled with sand like a mini dessert where Steelix would be the king. It could move faster and its moves would be powerful inside that area.
Some of the moves had also leveled up to 40 and some of them had become above level 40. Axel looked into those stats:
---
Sand tomb (Lvl 46): Blocks out all the air for the opponent and makes them unable to breathe
Sand Hardening (Lvl 42): Sand could now be transformed into semi-solid form with enough power
Iron Defense (Lvl 43): The defense of Steelix would rise more than before and it could tank many hits.
Dig (Lvl 44): Steelix would now know the position of the opponent when it is underground increasing the accuracy.
Earthquake (Lvl 43): Can focus on one direction making it more deadly
Hyper beam (Lvl 43): Has a more piercing effect.
---
It now might be the closest to reaching king rank status. Charizard had not even created its pre-domain. But Steelix had done that and its stats were also very close to reaching King rank. However, overall, Charizard was still more powerful than Steelix. Most of Charizard's moves were in level 50s now.
Axel to it train more in its 'Sand domain' and also told it to level up, 'Stone edge', 'Screech', 'Heavy slam' and 'Head smash'. He also told it to focus on its ground-type moves.
###
After 5 days,
Axel had been vigorously training with Red. Training and sparring with Red was very hard cause you would have to get hit most of the time and you would have to utilize your aura moves too.
Charizard or Steelix would reach king rank in a couple of months and by that time he must be strong enough to stand near them when they were fighting. Axel didn't have much time now. He told this issue to Red and both of them were trying hard.
Axel would train all 4 techniques every day. Red would first use 'Aura pressure' on Axel and Axel would defend against it with 'Aura resistance'.
Then Axel would use 'Aura pressure' and Red would defend it. After that Red would use a series of punches and Axel would block it with 'Aura coat'. Red would also literally shoot a beam of aura and he would again defend it with 'Aura coat'.
After all the training was done, Axel would start to meditate and sense the aura around him and Red would transfer his own aura to Axel assisting him in sensing it more. This also gradually increased Axel's aura capacity.
Axel was also doing his warm-up every day and practicing 'Heaven's fall' sword techniques. Axel had also asked Mark for the advanced version of 'Heaven's fall'.
There were 3 versions of this technique and Axel was still practicing the first version. The second version was vastly more complicated and difficult than the first one. Red suggested Axel get accustomed to the first version even more and raise his body stats before practicing the second version.
All in all, Axel trained from morning till evening. Axel's stamina had also risen up due to the warm-up exercise, so he could now train for a longer period of time.
Agnes was frightened after seeing Axel train. That was some inhuman way to train.
Did she also have to do this in the future? She didn't want to go through so much pain.
Axel comforted her saying that she didn't have to do it. She just had to train her Pokemon. Her Dragonair had recently evolved to Dragonite and she was very happy about it.
She now had a fully pseudo-legendary Pokemon with her. Even Axel didn't have one. Axel thought to catch a pseudo-legendary Pokemon after he entered the Johto region.
Today was the day that Nidoking would have 100% ground core mastery.
After sometime,
---
Ding!
Nidoking's ground core mastery has reached 100%
Ding!
Synchronizing both of the cores....
Ding!
Synchronizing successful.
Ding!
The host has become the first trainer to have a Pokemon who has 2 core masteries that are perfectly synchronized.
Ding!
The hidden quest has been completing...
Ding!
Calculating rewards.......
---
Calculating rewards was taking some time. Axel didn't know that he would be rewarded for this. He was even more amazed that he was the first trainer to achieve this in the whole history of this world.
Finally,
---
Ding!
Reward calculated: Human ranks have been assimilated into the system. The host and system talent will also apply to the host from now on.
Note: It would only apply to techniques, not to the nature/ways of aura. For example, the host would have to unlock psychic abilities on his own. The system would not help host on it.
---

There were some changes. There were huge changes in stats and a new tab 'Rank' was added. It showed that Axel was in common rank. Axel didn't know when he would reach uncommon rank. Red told him that he would feel it when he reached uncommon rank.
There was no flash display like the glowing of the whole body when a human reaches the next rank but just like in Pokemons, elemental rank was considered a big hurdle too.
Axel also got the answer of the system's talent and his own talent applying to him. He now also knew that the system would not help him in unlocking psychic abilities.
But did this mean that he could easily reach elemental rank due to his talent?
'System would it also be easier for me to reach elemental rank just like my Pokemons?', asked Axel to the system.
---
Ding!
The host is correct.
---
Axel started to jump as high as he could after he heard it from the system. This would mean a lot of things. All of Axel's talent would apply. If he trained hard, his techniques would upgrade faster, his stats would rise faster and he would rank up faster. This was due to his talent 'Overgrowth'.
He could also create new techniques easily due to 'Creator' and also could steal techniques due to 'Move capture'. However, for that, he would have to kill a fellow human.
Wait? Could he also steal moves from Pokemons?
'System, can I also steal moves from Pokemons with move capture?'
---
Ding!
The talent 'Move capture' must be upgraded to have such an effect.
---
'Wait? I could upgrade my talent too. How could I do this?'
---
Ding!
Not all talents could be upgraded. 'Creator' is the original talent of the host and it is at maximum level. 'Elemental overgrowth' is also at maximum level. 'Overgrowth' and 'Move capture' could be upgraded.
The host is required to find out the solution to upgrade by himself.
