Chapter 466: Marcus Vs Tyrantrum

Chapter 466: Marcus Vs Tyrantrum

Chapter 466: Marcus Vs Tyrantrum

"Let the battle begin!!!"

"Tyrantrum, explode with 'Flamethrower'"

"Marcus, use 'Agility' to the highest level.", said Axel.

Tyrantrum didn't waste any time and fired up a powerful 'Flamethrower' towards Shedinja.

Shedinja started to use 'Agility'. It could use 'Agility' 4 times. Those beams of flames struck Shedinja and it went through it.

The audience gasped after seeing it. Why didn't Shedinja dodge the attack? Everybody knew that Shedinja was weak to 'Flamethrower' and these powerful flames could literally kill it.

When the effect of the 'Flamethrower' was over, everyone was surprised again including Bruno. Shedinja was high in the air and it didn't even have a scratch.

"Do you really think that such weak flames could even hurt me? You are highly mistaken Bruno.", said Shedinja.

"Tyrantrum, use 'Dragon dance' and then use 'Crunch'", said Bruno.

Now, 'Crunch' was a dark type move and it was supper effective against Shedinja if the move connected. However, as per Axel's assumption, there was no way that the move would hit. It was a physical type move and Shedinja had already used 'Agility' 4 times.

Tyrantrum was fast for its size but it was still very slow compared to Shedinja. Tyrantrum used 'Dragon dance' increasing its stats and started to run towards Shedinja to use 'Crunch'. Its big teeth were glowing in dark color.

Tyrantrum was known for its bite force and its ability could also enhance bite type attacks by 50%. If the move connected, Tyrantrum had a huge chance to win but....

When Tyrantrum was close to Shedinja, it suddenly vanished and it reappeared behind Tyrantrum. Nobody knew how it was able to do that. Shedinja could not learn 'Teleport' and this was basically teleportation.

Both Bruno and Tyrantrum were surprised for a few seconds and that was enough for Shedinja to use its move.

Suddenly, multiple back chains came from Tyrantrum's shadow. Since Tyrantrum was massive, it had a big shadow and the chains were numerous. It bound Tyrantrum. Even with its massive body, its movement was restricted.

"Boom", said Axel.

And those chains exploded. This was 'Shadow control'. It had greatly leveled up and it now had additional functions like chains and explosions.

Shedinja didn't wait for Tyrantrum to come again and started to use 'Night slash' and 'Shadow ball' multiple times.

When the dust, debris, and smoke cleared, everyone could see that Tyrantrum was seriously injured. Shedinja used 'Shadow ball' again and this time it had fainted.

"Tyrantrum had fainted. Shedinja wins. Bruno is requested to take out his next Pokemon.", said the referee.

Everyone was surprised. They didn't know what the hell had happened.

There was Shedinja. One of the weakest Pokemon in the whole wide world and it had beaten Tyrantrum who was a powerful rock/dragon type Pokemon.

First, it was immune to 'Flamethrower' which was crazy. Then it teleported and then used some sort of chains to bind Tyrantrum. Then those chains exploded.

Then it sends multiple small black balls to Tyrantrum (Shadow ball). Then it sent one sort of dark sword slash (Night slash) and then finally finished the battle with small black balls.

All of these moves were never seen or heard of. It must be remembered that all the moves used by Shedinja were either modified moves or new moves. The crowd had not seen it before.

Shedinja had become the biggest mystery and the biggest dark horse.

"Come out, Slaking!!!", shouted Bruno.

A powerful Slaking came out with a huge roar.

ROOOOARRRR

Everyone was surprised by this move. Slaking was a powerful Pokemon. It was even estimated that it was more powerful than legendary Pokemons like Kyogre. However, it had a great disadvantage. That was its ability 'Truant'.

With this ability, Slaking could only attack the enemy every alternate turn, at least in the games. However, it was a bit complicated in real life.

This ability helps Slaking store a lot of power inside its body. That made it even more powerful than most of the legendary Pokemons. However, this made it very slow.

There were many ways to use Slaking effectively in battle but the truth was it was very weak against a type of Pokemon who was very fast.

Shedinja was a fast Pokemon and it was also immune to normal type attacks. Slaking was a normal type Pokemon. However, since Slaking was so powerful, it had a huge health and defense compared to some of the legendary Pokemons.

So, it was not so easy to defeat Slaking. One of the attack moves of Slaking could decide the battle and it would take a lot of time to defeat Slaking. This was going to be an interesting fight.

"Let the fight Begin!!!"

This was a long fight. Slaking started with 'Clam mind'. However, it was only able to use it one time as Shedinja started to attack with 'Shadow ball'. It then went on to use 'Shadow claw' which was dodged by Shedinja.

Axel didn't want Shedinja to use 'Substitute' this early as it would decrease its stats too.

The battle went to and fro.

When Slaking decided to use 'Fire blast', Shedinja used 'Invisibility' and disappeared. Bruno thought that it had used some sort of Teleportation again but it didn't come out anywhere.

When he saw 'Night slash' coming out of nowhere, he realized that it was some sort of 'Invisibility'. How many new moves had it learned? Bruno didn't know but he was slowly starting to regret leaving Shedinja.

Shedinja was his Pokemon before but it was Axel's Pokemon now. Shedinja also used 'Shadow control' to bind Slaking but Slaking to powerful to be bound by it. It did explode the chains before it could get out of its bound status.

Slaking was not able to hit Shedinja one bit. Shedinja was too quick. The battle went on for 30 minutes. Most of Shedinja's moves connected but Slaking had huge defense and health. It must be noted that Slaking was a tier 1 king rank Pokemon and Shedinja was a tier 2 king rank Pokemon.

Even then, it took more than 30 minutes when the final movement to arrive.

"Slaking, use 'Full power'"

Slaking was a bad match for Shedinja cause any ghost type Pokemons were immune to normal type attacks and Shedinja also had 'Wonder guard'. However, it had high defense and high health. That was why it could last so long.

When Bruno told it to use 'Full power', Axel knew that it was a new move. After it was said to use that move, Slaking gave a big roar.

ROOOOARRR

The aura of Slaking increased to a massive degree. It was now in the realm of tier 3 king-rank Pokemon. Axel didn't know what kind of move it really was but it was one of the most powerful moves Axel had ever seen.

Then Bruno said, "Now, use 'Shadow claw' with full power."

The speed of Slaking had increased to a massive degree. Axel could also see that the power of 'Shadow claw' had been massively boosted.

"Marcus, use 'Shadow interaction' and 'Shadow jump'. Dodge the attack."

BANNG

BOOOM

A massive explosion came from that attack. The dust and sand flew everywhere and nobody knew what had happened. However, Axel could already tell that Shedinja had dodged the attack. He was patiently waiting for the result cause Slaking had already fainted after using its final move.

After the dust and debris were cleared, the referee went to see the state of Slaking.

"Slaking has fainted. Shedinja has won this round. Bruno is requested to send out his next Pokemon within 10 seconds."

The crowd erupted with cheers. Nobody knew that a weak Pokemon like Shedinja could defeat a powerful Pokemon like Slaking. If there was no ability called 'Truant', Slaking was more powerful than some of the legendary Pokemons at its full glory and Shedinja was able to defeat such kinds of Pokemons.

---

Ding!

Shedinja has been able to defeat the most powerful nonlegendary Pokemon species.

Ding!

A new main mission has been generated.

Main mission: How powerful is Shedinja? What is its full potential? If Shedinja could reach champion rank and defeat any legendary Pokemon then it would be rewarded.

Mission condition: Reach champion rank and defeat any legendary Pokemon

Mission difficulty: A

Reward: Depends on performance.

---

Axel could not believe that he got a new mission right on the spot. It was a main mission. He already knew that the rewards from the main mission was very good. It was honestly life changing. He was looking forward to it. This mission would take years to complete cause ranking up a king rank Pokemon to champion rank was not a joke. Even if Shedinja reached champion rank, where was he going to find a legendary Pokemon.

He knew Mew but there were 2 problems with Mew. First of all, it was not a legendary Pokemon but a Mythical Pokemon. Secondly, it was too powerful for Shedinja to handle.

Then it hit him.

There were Latias on that island. He was sure about it. After it reaches champion rank, it may be able to beat Latias or Latios. However, that was in the future. Now, he had to concentrate on the fight.

Bruno didn't say anything and threw out a ball. Bruno was 3 Pokemons down and now he only had 3 Pokemons left.

It was an avian Pokemon with large wings, sharp talons, and a short, hooked beak. Its glossy plumage was mostly brown with cream-colored underparts and flight feathers. Its head had a decorated crest that was nearly as long as its body. The center feathers of its crest were yellow, while the outer feathers were red. The fan-like feathers of its tail were red or brown. Its beak and legs were pink, and there were three forward-facing toes and one backward-facing toe on each foot. Behind each eye was an angular black marking.

It was Pidgeot.

CRIIIIIII

This was a tier 1 king rank Pokemon and it looked very powerful. Pidgeot was known for its speed. Shedinja would not lose this battle. Axel was sure of it.

Pidgeot hardly knew any ghost type moves or dark type moves. As per Axel's knowledge, it knew 1 ghost type move and 3-4 dark type moves.

1. Thief (Dark type)

2. Ominous wind (Ghost type)

3. Pursuit (Dark type)

4. Feint attack (Dark type)

'Pursuit' would hit with double the damage if the opponent is switching out and 'Thief' would deal damage and steal a held item. Axel was 100% sure that Bruno would not waste any time training Pidgeot in these types of moves cause it was unnecessary.

'Feint attack' would deal damage and if the move was mastered, the Pokemon would ignore changes in accuracy and evasion stats. 'Ominous wind' would blast the target with repulsive wind and had a slight chance at all of its stats.

Axel was sure that Pidgeot didn't know 'Feint attack' but it did know 'Ominous wind'. How did he know about it? He saw its stats. That was how he knew.

That was the only move that could affect Shedinja. Ghost type moves were still supper effective against Shedinja and Pidgeot was faster than Shedinja.

'Marcus, get ready for its 'Ominous wind' and don't let it use 'Agility'', said Axel telepathically. He didn't want Bruno to hear his plans.

"Let the battle Begin!!!"

"Pidgeot, start with 'Aerial ace'.", said Bruno.

Axel knew why Bruno chose Pidgeot and why he was confident. Shedinja was normally weak to flying type attacks but Bruno didn't know that his Shedinja was immune to and he wanted Bruno to be confused till the end.

"Marcus, use 'Shadow interaction' and dodge the attack", said Axel.

Shedinja did as it was told and used 'Shadow interaction'. The move would let Shedinja manipulate the body movements of its target. It was not a powerful attack and it would be broken very easily. However, using this move gave Shedinja enough time to dodge the move.

Axel wanted Bruno to feel that Shedinja was still weak to flying type attacks. This would give him a competitive advantage in the later battles.

The battle went on for 10 minutes. In these 10 minutes, Pidgeot would attack but Shedinja would do something to dodge it and attack it. Pidgeot was not very hurt by Shedinja's attacks. It was surprising that Pidgeot had good defense.

Normally, Pidgeots were not known for their defense. It was known for its speed and attack power. However, this Pidgeot had high defense, speed and attack power. Axel wondered how Bruno trained his Pidgeot.

"Pidgeot, use 'Agility' again", said Bruno.

Pidgeot was successful in using this move 3 times and its speed had rapidly increased. It was faster than Shedinja. This was a problem.

Shedinja still had to fight 2 Pokemons after this, so he didn't want it to use its powerful moves right now. However, the battle was going longer and longer and it had been around an hour since Shedinja took the stage. It was getting tired.

A Pokemon could fight for hours in the tide cause it would hardly use any stamina-consuming moves. However, in a competition like this, a Pokemon had to use a lot of stamina-consuming moves which would make it tired much faster.

Even though Shedinja was a tier 2 king rank Pokemons, it was starting to get tired. Axel knew that he had to finish this battle as fast as he could and his decision changed to do it instantly after....

"Pidgeot, use 'Ominous wind'", said Bruno.

Pidgeot had used this move a couple of times but Shedinja was able to dodge it every time but this time was different. Pidgeot was very close to Shedinja and its speed was at the maximum due to 'Agility'.

There was no way for Shedinja to dodge the attack.

"Marcus, use 'Endure'", shouted Axel in urgency.

A white light enveloped Shedinja when the move hit Shedinja.

BANNNG
