Chapter 588: The Planning

Chapter 588: The Planning

Other Pokemons of Axel only had minor injuries and they were okay. Shedinja was also ready to battle at night. It was only burned for a short period of time and now it was healed.

Slowemperor was seriously injured. It was able to heal a lot of health from 'Slack off' and Venusaur but it still needed a lot of time to be battle-ready.

"Slowemperor needs around a week to be completely okay. It had suffered a lot of injuries and burnt marks. Since it was an ice-type Pokemon, it was affected a lot. I am surprised that it is still okay.", said the doctor.

Slowemperor being out for 1 week would hinder him a lot. There was still one tier 3 king-rank Pokemon. These Pokemons were crazy to attack with such a huge force on the first day. There was no telling how the other tier 3 king-rank Pokemon would react.

He had also planned for Slowemperor to lead his own Pokemons. It was very intelligent and it had a very strategic mind. Alakazam also had a good mind but it was never interested in battle strategies. Axel had to do something to hold the battle for 7 days now.

The next news crushed Axel.

"Doctor, what about Charles?"

"The injuries of Charles are more severe than Slowemperor. Don't worry, it would make a full recovery. However, it would at least take 2 weeks or more than that to fully recover."

"That much?"

"Yes, Charizard took that hit head on and it is very injured. Thank the Arceus that it was only a flying type move. If it was a water-type move, then something bad might have happened."

That was reasonable. Slowemperor defended the attack head on but Charizard mostly focused on the attack. It did try to defend but its defensive measures were not so good. Slowemperor had also recently learned 'Reflect' and 'Light screen'. However, it had a high defensive stat and it had a bulky body.

Charizard being unable to battle would impact Axel's power a lot. Even though it was just a tier 2 king-rank Pokemon and Slowemperor was a tier 3 king rank Pokemon, its fighting powers should not be underestimated.

Charizard mainly focused on attack power. It might be the most offensive Pokemon in Axel's team. Charizard had the capability to kill multiple Pokemons at a very high speed. It was able to kill 5 king-rank Pokemons today.

Charizard would have to rest for 2 weeks now. The tide might also be over by that time. They had won a major victory today and Axel was planning to finish this tide battle sooner but now since Charizard and Slowemperor were injured, Axel had to play it defensively.

###

Night came and ghost-type Pokemons too. Alon was the commander of the night's watch. Shedinja was also there to support him. However, the quantity of ghost-type Pokemons was very less.

There was something unusual about these ghost type Pokemons. They were very aggressive. Normally, ghost-type Pokemons would attack with deceit and illusions but these ghost-type Pokemons were attacking as if there was no tomorrow.

There were no king-rank Pokemons this time and they only had to deal with pseudo-king rank Pokemon. Shedinja was the MVP of this battle. It was a tier 2 king rank Pokemon and these Pokemons were pseudo-king rank. There were around 500 pseudo-king rank ghost-type Pokemons that attacked that night.

Shedinja first used 'Substitute' and then 3 substitutes came out of it. The substitute had 50% power of Shedinja and they were enough to deal with these ghost-type Pokemons. After getting burned early that day, it played a defensive role and tried to protect its main body.

These substitutes could also attack and they started to kill these ghost-type Pokemons. They would use moves like 'Shadow ball', 'Shadow control', 'Night slash' and 'Dark breath'.

After fighting for a few hours, all the substitutes were killed and Shedinja also had to recover its energy. After some time, it again sent out its substitutes to battle. They hardly lost any soldiers that night. Some of them were seriously injured but only 5 had died that night.

Deaths were unavoidable during tide but the numbers were still very low.

###

Next day,

Shedinja was told to rest as it had been battling for many hours. It battled at night and also at day.

The Pokemons that attacked the next day had lower numbers. There were no king-rank Pokemons and the battle finished after a few hours.

The number of night Pokemons also decreased. There were no dark-type Pokemons. There were only ghost-type Pokemons and they were also dealt with. Shedinja was the MVP of the night raid. It had upgraded its 'Shadow ball' to a new height and now the power of the move had become destructive.

###

The rate of wild Pokemons continued to decrease and on the 4th day, there were no wild Pokemons to fight. The place was just empty. This had never happened before in any tide. Axel was also surprised by this and he gathered all the important people in a video call and had a discussion.

Cody was still in the south zone. Axel was afraid that another tier 3 king rank Pokemon would attack, so he told Cody to stay in the south zone for safety.

"So, what is happening here? Did you get anything from the responder and the scouts?", asked Axel.

"Sir, the responder says that there are still Pokemon that are ready to fight with us. The numbers of the Pokemons had not changed but for some reason, they are not attacking us and waiting for something.", said Liam.

"Hmm, do you have any ideas for it?", asked Axel.

"Sir, as per my assumptions, there are 2 leaders in the tide. Both of them are the sons of Arcanine. The first one seems to have a different team that is loyal to it and the second one has its own team. The first one attacked with full force on the first day but was also killed on the first day.

So, the Pokemons that were under the control of the first one are now also being controlled by the second one.", said Hector.

"That is a reasonable explanation but why is the second leader not giving the command to attack?", asked Alon.

"There could be only 2 possibilities for it. The first one is that the thought of the first leader and the second leader is completely different. The second one doesn't want to attack right now.

The second reason might be the intelligence of the second leader. The second leader realized that it might also be crushed if it started to attack blindly. So it might be making some plans right now.", said Axel.

If it was the second reason, then they were going to face a lot of trouble and Axel could say for 90% surety that it was the second reason. The second leader had a good head on its shoulders and was able to think clearly. The second leader was also able to control so many wild Pokemons. This showed that it was more powerful than the first one and had leadership qualities.

"So sir, what should be do now?"

"We have to be prepared at all times. Set the traps again. We didn't see much of aerial battle before but that didn't mean that it would not happen in the future. Our death counts are very low right now and we have killed almost a quarter of king-rank Pokemons. So, we are good for now.

###

4 days went like this. There were some brave wild Pokemons that did attack but the number was very low and they were dealt with immediately.

After 4 days, Axel saw a huge increase in the number of wild Pokemons that attacked the south zone. Axel had gotten information that there were no Pokemon that attacked the east and the west side. It looked like the second leader was smart to concentrate all of its forces on one side.

There were no king-rank Pokemons so it was going to be an easy battle. Shedinja was fighting during night time and others were fighting during the day time.

It was finally time for young Pokemons to fight. With the protection of Gogoat and Mew, they went out to have their first bloody battle. For the past few days, Axel didn't tell them to fight but to observe. They had never killed a Pokemon before so it was hard for them to get used to it. But they were Pokemons, not humans. They got used to it within a few days.

They formed a tight group so that Gogoat could protect them when it was needed and went out for battle.

###

Arcanine POV start

Arcanine was in a meeting with all the king-rank Pokemons. The first leader named Goffy had died on the first day and now all of them were scared to fight humans. Their previous leader had won the hearts of all the Pokemons in the forest and these Pokemons could give their life for them but they were scared.

"Dygon, what should we do?", asked Gengar, a king-rank Pokemon.

Dygon was the name of the second leader. After the first died, all of them came under the second leader.

"All of us are going to die in this tide.", said Dygon with confidence.

"What do you mean? We still have a chance. Goffy had died but there is still you and us."

"You don't understand. Even if all of us went there to fight at the same time, we are going to die. We have underestimated the power of these humans. If Goffy was here, we might have been able to do it but he also died on the first day."

"So, you want us to give up? And cancel the tide?"

"No, that would be stupid. If we cancel the tide, humans will come here for us. They don't want any risk us attacking them in the future.", said Dygon.

"So, what do you suggest that we do? Are we all going to die?"

"No, I am sure that I am going to die and I am also sure that almost all of you are too. We need to preserve and save our kids. Some of our kids are very talented and they have hope for the future.

We also have a cheat."

"Dygon, we do have a cheat but those are for the young ones. We cannot do it."

"You are right. There will 3 of us that would not join the fight. Instead, these 3 would hide here and train our young ones after the tide. After that, we will go to fight and we will die.

We can only hope that our young ones will be able to take revenge.", said Dygon.

Dygon was a tier 3 king-rank Pokemon and unlike other Pokemons, he was not arrogant. He had been humbled by his father. His father had told him that it was futile to fight against humans cause humans are very powerful. That was why his father never attacked humans.

But after the death of the father, it was impossible to not fight. Dygon also knew that the humans were very powerful. They might not be able to win against them. Even if they do, Dygon had already felt the presence of Oak's Alakazam and Mew. Mew might not interfere in the tide but Alakazam would do it cause it was a trainer's Pokemon.

So, he knew that they were walking to their deaths.

"Even if we are going to die, we going to take them with us. Don't worry, I have a plan for that."

Arcanine POV end.
