This battle was an eye-opener for Beedrill and Axel. Beedrill had low defense to begin with and its move mastery was sub-par compared to other Pokemons in Axel's team. But Axel could do nothing about it right now. It would take time for it to be better. Using 'Poison jab' and 'Drill run' was effective. Axel wanted to increase its mastery much more.

Since Beedrill was not an electric-type Pokemon, 'Electroweb' didn't have much more effect. Axel also wanted Beedrill to practice its 'Agility' move much more as it would be OP in later stages.

But for now, Axel wanted it to master its ability 'Sniper' and 'Swarm'. Beedrill would shine after its abilities had been mastered but it would also take time.

Right now, the stats of Beedrill was:

---

Beedrill had improved massively compared to last month. But it still needed much more training.

Axel wanted Beedrill to improve its 'String Shot' too. It was a good control ability for it. Axel wanted Beedrill to be fast and a powerful hitter. However, he realized that the size of Beedrill poses a problem. It was freaking 11 feet tall. Though Beedrill was already fast despite its size, it could not dodge properly as it intended.

So, Axel came up with a daring plan. He wanted Beedrill to learn a move 'minimize' and evolve it to a higher level.

The evolution of moves was not something uncommon. But it was not a common occurrence either. Pokemon could modify the moves when it reaches Elemental rank and above but the evolution of moves was something entirely different. The moves could have higher power when a Pokemon advances a rank but the evolution of moves was changing the concept of moves entirely.

What Axel wanted to do was gradually reduce the size of Beedrill in a permanent way until it reaches its original size.

Normally, 'Minimize' increases the evasion rate of a Pokemon. But Axel felt that, if Beedrill could permanently reduce its size, it could bring a lot of benefits like fast speed and strength with good defense. And that was what Axel exactly wanted it to do.

Unlike other Pokemons in his team, Axel had a perfect plan for Bulbasaur even for its later stages. He wanted it to be like Hashirama Senju.

And now, Axel too had made a good plan for Beedrill. It may take Beedrill years to perfectly master this move but Axel speculated that Beedrill's power would skyrocket with this single move.

So, He started to seriously train Beedrill in this move. It took Beedrill 3 days to learn 'Minimize'. But it could only sustain it for a couple of minutes and it would directly decrease its size to 3 feet.

Axel wanted it to permanently reduce its size and do it gradually from 11 feet to 10 feet. Then 10 feet to 9 feet and so on until it reaches 3 feet. Axel would reach Pewter City within 10 days, and He wanted it to have a good mastery in this move.

So, Beedrill would practice other moves on a regular basis and also practice 'Minimize'.

"Beedrill, feel the energy that you use to minimize. When you feel the energy try to control it and only reduce your size by 1 feet and then calm your mind to stay in that position."

Axel was instructing Beedrill to learn this new move. Axel also noticed that its mastery over 'agility' was much more smooth compared to other normal Beedrill.

'Does that mean, like Shedinja, Beedrill also have hidden power related to Psychic?' thought Axel. It was an interesting theory that he came to a few days ago.

Normally in games and anime,

'Hidden power' was specific to a species of Pokemon but Axel had hypnotized that it could be different for every type of Pokemon.

Axel felt that Hidden power as its name suggests was a dormant type of energy that has not been unraveled. He didn't know the way to ravel it yet. He had studied a lot about Infinity energy from Mark before.

As per Mark's theory, if infinity energy could to manipulated perfectly, a grass-type Pokemon could use fire-type attacks. They had discussed this theory in length when Axel was in the Venu family. But have never come across any good solution. Axel now felt that Hidden Power was one of the ways to do it.

But he did not know; how to know about which Pokemon had what type of hidden power and how to manipulate it perfectly.

But something amazing happened after a week that made some positive signs to his theory.

After a week of hard work, Beedrill was not able to do what Axel wanted. There was not even a glimmer of improvement. But coincidently, Beedrill learned 'Calm mind'.

"Beedrill, feel the energy that you use to minimize. When you feel the energy try to control it and only reduce your size by 1 foot and then calm your mind to stay in that position".... These were the words that Beedrill heard every hour for the past week.

It somehow could slow its rate of minimization to 10 feet but could not even maintain it for a second. It tried to calm its mind and the energy of 'Minimize' but was not able to do it.

However, in the process of calming its mind, it learned the move 'Calm mind'.

This was huge for Axel. Beedrill could not learn 'Calm mind' as it is a Psychic type move. The Psychic type moves that it could learn are 'Agility' and 'Rest'.

Now, Axel was 90% sure that his theory of 'hidden power' and 'infinity energy' was correct.
