Chapter 220 - Pokemon Master Of Tactics: 220
Chapter 220 - Pokemon Master Of Tactics: 220
Alex and his group continued further in this forest after taking a short break.
Although the half-destroyed corpse of Exeggutor was now spread all over the place in pieces, Alex did not take it along.
As soon as a Pokémon dies—due to using up all of its life energy—the corpse is completely empty of energy and can only be used as food.
It can not improve the potential of Pokémon, and the taste becomes many times worse.
Although Alex didn't get any direct profit from this fight, something more important had occurred.
Blaziken comprehended the dangers of fighting other Pokémon. Alex believed that without such a frightful experience, Blaziken would probably not have had a successful evolution.
When walking, Alex noticed the slight rise in the incline of the path they were on.
That showed that Alex was now very close to the mountain range and that the forest will soon thin out.
Alex and his Pokémon met a few more Pokémon, but none of them caught Alex's interest. He quickly defeated them and went further on the path the map showed.
A cave with many diamonds is not a place that Alex wants to miss. He even bought several automatic drilling machines to make digging a lot easier.
Especially with the help of Bastiodon, Alex should have no problem digging up many valuable diamonds.
Bastiodon eats iron, stone, and even diamonds if they find some, so he can actually be quite helpful in finding diamonds.
According to the map, it shouldn't take Alex more than 4 hours to reach this cave.
Alex went further and further down the road and noticed that number of trees was getting fewer and that the slope was only increasing more and more.
After 1 more hour, Alex & co. had successfully left the forest and could see the many mountains ranges around him.
Numerous high mountains, curvy snake-like mountain paths, and Pokémon- roaming there while maintaining the balance between staying beware of the sudden attack and enjoying the environment. Alex, who got to enjoy this view from his high ground, couldn't help but let out an impressed whistle.
This view was just so refreshing that he wanted to keep watching.
While Alex was thoroughly enjoying this view, Crobat suddenly turned very serious.
"Fuck, a Pokémon is coming to our place at an incredibly fast pace, and it's even faster than me," said Crobat with a grim face.
"Faster than you?" Alex was shocked hearing this and realized that there was no time to waste as it was dangerous.
"Gardevoir, get ready to use Teleport. I'll give you the signal."
"The rest of you should already start using your reinforcement moves."
All Pokémon immediately turned into their combat mode and started using their buff moves as taught in training.
Alex often did training exercises so that his Pokémon knows who was to do what.
Ditto is to transform into Scizor as soon as Scizor has buffed himself to the max (as much as the situation allows).
Everyone knew they were in such a situation.
After only 15 seconds, Alex could see which Pokémon was coming towards them.
In the beginning, Alex only saw one dot in the sky. But this dot became very big as it was coming in his direction incredibly swiftly. So he only needed a few seconds to recognize which Pokémon was coming to them.
'What's this?' thought Alex when he received this information.
-------------------------
Pokémon: Fearow
LV: 49 (Originally: 52)
Type: Normal/Flying
Ability: Guts
Gender: Male
Potential: Shallow Silver
Moves:
- Peck, Growl, Leer, Focus Energy, Fury Attack, Mirror Move, Assurance, Agility, Roost, Drill Peck, Drill Run, Razor Wind
- (Innate Talent) Fly [M]
---------------------
Alex saw this [Originally] name first time in the info of a Pokémon. But it only took him a second to understand what it probably means.
[Originally: 52] probably shows that this Fearow had reached level 52 but had lost part of his strength due to either old age, injury, or illness.
Alex wasn't quite sure, but he thought it probably has to do with the age of this Fearow.
To be able to reach this level as a Silver Pokémon, this Pokémon has to be old, very old.
Especially when he saw how Fearow barely had the red-colored feathers on his head, and the color of his feathers also looked quite unnatural. It felt like someone had bleached his feathers, and due to that, it had lost its original color.
Fearow didn't wait for Alex's group as he took a dive toward's Alex's group, using [Fly].
All of Alex's Pokémon responded without the instructions from Alex and began to prepare their moves.
Alex looked at this Fearow with a calm expression.
He wasn't actually afraid of this Pokémon. He believed that with the combined strength of his Pokémon, victory should be easy to get in the pocket.
If this Pokémon was level 52, he would not be so restrictive and may have been very dangerous. But the reality was quite different.
Alex saw this stupid Pokémon go straight into melee and not use a hit-and-run tactic.
'Hmmm, having something too much comes with its disadvantage. With more power comes more pride, and with more pride comes arrogance. This arrogance... is the reason why this Fearow will fall today,' thought Alex when he saw how this Pokémon was hit by his Pokémon's move.
Bastiodon stood in front of the group using [Protect] and his body to tank the attack from Fearow.
Although Bastiodon's [Potetct] was crushed to the bits and Bastiodon was hit by [Fly], he managed to endure this damage for the group.
7 level differences and a move on the Master-rank did incredible damage to Bastiodon and drained more than 25% of his HP.
If Flying-type moves weren't fourfold ineffective against Bastiodon, this attack would have knocked him out straight away, despite Bastiodon having such a ridiculously strong defense.
The rest of the group used the time and prepared their strongest moves against Fearow, who was now so close that he couldn't evade.
Crobat used [Cross Poison].
Scizor and Ditto (transformed into Scizor) used [Metal Claw] (almost buffed to max).
Blaziken use [Overheat] (Sunny Day).
Eevee use [Double-Edge] (Work Up).
Alex didn't dare to let Vulpix and Shuppet attack because it could be dangerous for them. Besides, they can't do any harm to this Pokémon anyway.
Although his Pokémon are generally a good deal weaker than
Fearow, they were more than enough to defeat this Pokémon instantly.
A normal dog can't win in a 1 v/s 1 against a (strong) human in a death fight.
But what if there are 3 relatively large dogs and 4 medium-sized dogs against a normal human in a death fight.
As long as these dogs attack together, this fight is over immediately.
Alex saw Fearow fall to the ground with a baffled look and couldn't help but laugh out loud.
