Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 100 - Rankings

Chapter 100 - Rankings

Listening to Aunt Kia's speech, Shane was slightly taken aback. He had never seen her being so serious, except when she taught him, while she was quite foolish on every other occasion. As she continued speaking, Shane listened to her carefully.

"As the students support pillar, we have many tasks, but we will only be of use if we are utilized correctly.

Everyone should be aware that neither theoretical nor practical lessons are mandatory. Sitting for the final exams is your only responsibility within the Shirai academy. As such, everyone can do whatever they please.

I have already spoken for so long and haven't even started talking about the most important information…

If someone is curious about what dorm or class they are in, just access your student information on the system.

It should explain everything necessary about this, which includes the choice to take whatever lesson each of you wants to attend until next week.

As for this week, we will start with what most students are most likely here for...The first monthly rankings which include the first opportunity to earn several hours access to the Dimension-spheres!!"

Suddenly the students around Shane began to jump up, shouting in joy and started to clap loudly, causing him to feel extremely uncomfortable.

'Are you guys insane...you haven't even finished the exams or obtained access to the dimension-spheres!!' He thought, bewildered, as he inwardly added.

'Am I the only sane person here?' As he looked at Olivia who was also over the top, exclaiming loudly, while Aimy only shook her head in denial.

Suddenly a loud snap amplified by mana resounded throughout the whole floor. It caused everyone to sit down on their seats immediately, as they were shaken by the massive pressure intertwined into the snap.

Shane was also taken by surprise, as he looked at the unsuspicious middle-aged man with short dark blue hair. He had one arm raised in the air as if he wanted to snap another time if the hubbub didn't die down soon.

'Not bad!' Shane thought as he continued to observe the middle-aged, blue-haired man until his Aunt continued with her speech.

"Everyone should have calmed down by now, huh?

As for the rankings...we thought about this for a long time and decided to utilize the first week to establish the first rankings.

Today, everyone may relax and familiarize themselves with the entire academy grounds and how everything works. But tomorrow, we will immediately start by testing everyone's theoretical knowledge, excluding any primordial dimension knowledge that is only available within the Primordial library!

This is to ensure fairness to the students who have barely entered the Primordial Dimensions because they simply had no time to read such books.

However, this benefit is only for this month's knowledge exam and we won't be so nice from next month onwards.

Because the first exam only asks rather basic questions and is as such rather easy, we will reward everyone 100% with 2 hours access to the Tier-1 Dimension-sphere.

As for the next ranking we have, it may be rather complicated but we call it [Stage-to-Age] ranking.

This is a rather new ranking and shows the progress of every student who applied for this ranking, according to their age and stage they have reached.

For example, if we have two students at the exact same stage in both cultivation and body refining, the younger student is ranked higher than the older.

To calculate the exact ranking based on the given stage and age is rather difficult, but the higher someone's rank is compared to their age, the better is their ranking in this column.

In two days, we will test everyone's martial art proficiency and grade it.

Many students don't have a martial art technique acknowledged by the system, but this is not an issue. We grade indiscriminately, even though more difficult techniques will be higher ranked, which is only logical.

There are two other rankings that don't need any exams and the students only have to share their access to two of their system functions.

These rankings are called [Wealth] ranking and [Lifestyle-occupation] ranking.

The wealth ranking should be rather obvious...the more funds you accumulate, the higher your ranking is.

However, the lifestyle occupation counts how many products someone has manufactured and their rough grade.

Mortal grade items are awarded 1 to 3 points, while Tier-1 items are awarded anywhere between 5-20 points.

Tier-2 items can already claim 30 to 100 points.

The higher the coins, the better the ranking, sounds good, right?

As for the last ranking that will be held the day after the martial art proficiency exam, we have the combat rankings.

Students at the same stage will fight each other and the winners will receive more hours of access to the Dimension-spheres.

While the Mortal stage combat ranking will only have one individual that can claim the reward, the Apprentice combat ranking will have three winners. The Expert stages have five winners and they will additionally have an extended period of access to the Dimension-spheres.

As such, we have 8 rankings in total and there should be something for everyone, right?

Not everyone is the same and we know that, but to enter the academy, at least one of this ranking should be suitable for any student."

Sighing deeply, Principal Kia revealed a bright smile as she announced cheerfully.

"I sincerely hope that everyone will have a splendid time at the Academy. You guys should remember that not only is everyone here still young, but life is long! Socializing and relaxing once in a while is important to have a balanced lifestyle!

Am I right, Little One?!

Hehehe...Now that I have said everything, let me see everyone blossom into beautiful flowers!

Have a nice week!"

Ending her speech, her holographic transmission ended with her hologram dissipating. Shane could only sweat lightly when she said "Little One" which was obviously directed at him.

After Aunt Kia finished her speech, Shane was about to stand up, when he noticed that everyone jumped up in order to rush out of the colosseum, which created pure chaos.

As such, Shane and the two girls remained seated with all of them accessing their student information in order to figure out which class and dorm they were in.

Olivia was the first to shout out "Class 52, Dorm nr. 100 [Stellar]...YAY The Stellar Dorm!! What about you Aimy??"

Hearing Olivia saying the name of her dorm, Shane immediately frowned, as he thought

'Oh please not...Aunty... if you did that….' as he searched for his own name.

Aimy was the next to answer, as she said joyously "I'm also in Class 52 and the Stellar-Dorm!"

Shane's frown deepened, as he found his student information. When he didn't answer Olivia who asked him about his class, she leaned forward to take a look at his holographic screen, only to squeak out in joy

"You're also in the Stellar-Dorm!!! YEY...and also in class 100, the Stellar-Class...How can you be so lucky?!"

Olivia was extremely envious of Shane's Class, while his frown only deepened.

'Why aunty?! I thought you liked me….'

Sighing, Aimy noticed that Shane was suddenly in a bad mood, causing her to wonder what was going on. On the other side, Olivia maintained her good, yet envious mood.

When the student crowd had left the colosseum, Aimy and Olivia stood up, only to see that Shane was still deep in thoughts. Olivia punched his shoulder to bring him back to reality.

Looking around, he noticed that the whole floor was already empty with only the remaining, as he looked at the two girls waiting for him.

Suddenly Aimy smiled slightly at him, saying

"Let's go to our dorm!"
