Chapter 261 - My Astral Artisans Can Do That!
Chapter 261 - My Astral Artisans Can Do That!
Talia had never heard Shane talking about his family and neither had she heard any news about his mother's death.
This was weird, but not impossible for the president of the Stella federation.
She was curious about Shane, how his childhood was and how his family had treated him.
However, from the way Shane spoke about it, she felt that he should have been born on the day his mother died.
'Did she die while giving birth to Shane?'
Talia didn't probe further, thinking that she would only tear open old wounds. As such, she asked Shane whether he would be able to acquire 1 million gold coins in a month or not.
Initially, Shane's mind had already been distracted by the thought of his mother's death before he had been transmigrated to Igra, but Talia's questions shook him out of this thought.
"1,000,000 gold coins? I don't think….Wait! It might be possible!"
Only now did he recall that he had yet to procure Elemental crystals for the Elus-race and there were only two months left before their next batch of common Elementals would be born.
As such, he might be able to solve his issue easier than he had expected.
He had already refined his previous plan multiple times and filtered through every single rumor about the Radiant mountain ring dimension and the unknown number of elemental crystal caves the whole mountain range had.
Even though the Radiant ring dimension was still labeled dangerous because of the bloodlust thunder wolf and the provided intel about the Golden Centipede King, there were still plenty of Cultivators that entered the dimension.
From the initial sparsely populated RadiantRing shelter, it began to turn into a highly populated shelter, despite its dangers.
The benefits seemed to outweigh the dangers and Shane could understand this.
The more dangerous something was, the more benefits one would obtain in most cases.
At least that was how he perceived everything about the Primordial Dimension until now.
However, even though the shelter's popularity had witnessed a steep increase, most Cultivators were roaming through the shelter in large groups to avoid being torn apart by the various types of strong beasts that were said to have appeared within the adjacent areas.
The outskirts of the radiant mountain ring seemed to have turned into a field populated by a majority of Elite stage beasts from the initial wild-stage zone.
It seemed like those beasts had migrated to that area and from the rumors, Shane had heard, there were multiple reasons for this change.
None of those reasons was interesting to him and only the news about the Elemental crystal caves was important.
Weirdly enough, there was not much news and only the government dared to venture closer to the mountain.
Apparently, there were a few superior awakened stage beasts at a higher altitude, on the mountain.
Those beasts seemed to observe the surroundings and would attack highly populated areas and large hordes of other beasts.
This included humans too and those superior awakened stage beasts massacred large groups of humans until their number decreased to a certain threshold.
It was as if the superior awakened stage beasts were regulating the number of beasts habituating the surrounding areas.
Shane found this interesting and weird at the same time. This behavior didn't seem natural, and somewhat forced, however, he wouldn't deny that it was advantageous for him nonetheless
There were still a few elemental crystal caves that were untouched by humans and as long as he could tell how many layers those elemental crystal caves had, he would be able to wipe it clean.
During the last few months, he had conducted some research and by saving some gold coins that he had earned from the Astral Artisan hall through every sold good, Shane was able to purchase a few things that he needed.
They were stored within his spatial ring that had advanced from a [Tier-1 (Extraordinary)] to a [Tier-2 (Extraordinary)] ring due to his advancement into the Expert stage.
It's statistics hadn't increased by much and Shane was somewhat disappointed. In the end, it's increase was not as much, when it had automatically upgraded from a [Mortal] grade ring to a [Tier-1] grade ring!

However, there was no need for Shane to be disappointed because the [Ancient ring of the Susurro] was something he had obtained as his mother's Heirloom.
There was no doubt that the ring was equipped with several enhancements, but it would have been Shane's prized possession, even if it wouldn't have supported him in any way!
Right now, he had already emerged within the RadiantRing shelter and walked towards the gate with confidence, only to feel that everything around him was very dark.
'Ugh..my eyes have to adjust to the weaker sunlight again…' Shane's body could easily adjust to the difference of the gravitational force on Masua and Igra, but that was not the case for the bright sunlight on Masua.
It was just as if everything was bright almost as if it would catch fire and Shane couldn't say that he didn't like the bright sunlight on his skin.
This was not important right now and instead of wasting too much time, he released faint mana fluctuations in order to perceive his surroundings.
Shane walked down the elevation at which the Dimension Portal was situated before he walked down the broad crowded area that would lead him to the shelter gate.
Two minutes later his eyes had adjusted to the weak sunlight and he was able to see everything clearly.
Thus, he could increase his pace as he rushed through the crowded street while avoiding other Cultivators as well as possible.
Everyone was minding their own business, and occasionally people would bump into each other.
This would lead to conflicts in some race occurrences but Guards would arrive before anything bad could happen.
Nevertheless, Shane wanted to avoid unnecessary hassle while rushing ahead.
Thus, he reached the shelter gate in 20 minutes.
There was a small queue of Cultivators who wanted to leave the shelter and it looked like the security had increased a little.
From what he could hear and see, the shelter walls had already been repaired. It looked like it was done hastily and anyone who had even the basic skills of craftsmanship could tell that this was done by low-quality craftsmen at Rank-0 or Rank-1.
Within the Astral Artisans, there had yet to be someone who had advanced to Rank-1 but their occupation's quality was much higher than that of most of the existing artisans. This indicated that their potential and capabilities were much higher.
Shane was sure that his Astral Artisans could repair the shelter better than the ones who had fixed it like a patchwork.
Thus, he sent a simple message in the family group chat.
[If someone needs a few Craftsmen, who can repair a shelter-wall properly, the Astral Artisans are ready to assist the government!]
At the same time, he attached a photo of the shelter walls which he had taken quickly.
When it was his turn to leave the shelter, he had to show his ID and give a rough estimate to the guards of his expected time of return.
This confused Shane a little bit, but he thought that the authorities decided that the radiant mountain-ring dimension was too dangerous. Maybe they were of the opinion that it was important to maintain a list of names and time of departure from the shelter of everyone who wanted to venture outside.
If one wouldn't return before the previously stated time, the shelter would label this person as 'missing'. After one year of the person still being 'missing', one would officially be labeled as 'dead'.
Shane had just left the shelter when he saw a large group of around 40 young men and women walk past him.
Their mana fluctuations were completely restricted. The concealment they used was even better than the [Tier-1 (Bronze)] concealment skill he was using right now.
Furthermore, their equipment was superb, while most of them looked like they had yet to reach the age of 18 years.
Despite their young age and the fact that they had entered one of the most dangerous shelters constructed within a dimension, they seemed extremely calm.
The group of 40 members was approaching the mountain range in the exact direction the shelter guard had warned him not to go!
This piqued Shane's curiosity and he estimated that this group wanted to fight against the superior awakened beasts, or that they had a different means to avoid those beasts regardless of their groups' size!
