Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 475: Change

Chapter 475: Change

Chapter 475: Change

Shane was not sure if it was the best idea to follow the path that had been foretold by the Creator.

However, what he knew was that the Creator’s plan was different from that of the veiled beings.

Nevertheless, he was reluctant to use his wish but realised that there was no other way to save humanity.

Explaining that Void eaters had somehow emerged on Igra was not helpful because nobody knew what they could do.

But, after he described what their task was, and who had most likely sent them, in addition to the possible perpetrator causing Uncle Cheng’s betrayal, everyone in the grand meeting went silent.

They had planned to search for a new planet to colonize, but time was running out at a much faster pace than anyone could imagine.

Initially, Shane would have prepared to leave Igra the moment the Creator had sent him a voice transmissioned warning.

Yet, after having been knocked out by his own uncle, days had passed, and now Igra was on the verge of getting destroyed.

While Shane’s mind was rattling, he had allowed Umbra, whose length had increased to more than 150 meters to emerge in the large gathering hall.

Calming himself while feeding Umbra various types of high-quality ingredients he had especially bought for his soulbond’s quality enhancement, Shane tried diverting his thoughts for a moment, regaining some positivity and energy by the thought of Umbra’s upgrade.

Cosmo and Viridy were still evolving which would take a few more months, and only Umbra was by his side.

The extremely firm connection with the 150 meter long snake had turned into a fortified soul conjunction, which was something unique according to the Creator’s memories.

Shane vaguely recalled something about being able to fuse with soulbonds that could establish a fortified soul conjunction.

This should increase his strength exceptionally, even allowing him to fly by fusing with flying soulbonds as well as gaining other strong abilities.

Even if that sounded interesting and gave him an advantage while fighting slightly stronger opponents, for the situation Shane and the entire human race had to face, it was completely useless.

As such, he could only put this aside, while facing reality.

Shane had expected that his mind would be fuzzy after having lost Aisha to the Primordial dimensions, while suffering the betrayal and loss of Uncle Cheng, but contrary to his expectations, his mind was completely rational as he made his next announcement.

With a serious expression and determination in his voice, he said,

“I will use my wish to request our safe transport to a planet with enough mana and unexplored lands to colonize!

For that, everyone will have to enter the Hidden Paradise…however, I will expel everyone, who is still connected to the System, out of my soul world!

Only those who abandoned the system will be allowed to leave with me, even if there is some time left before the System will cease to exist.”

While the others didn’t realise what exactly the reason for Shane’s announcement could be, Aunt Kia had intently listened to his earlier explanation about the Void eaters and the Creator’s warning that had followed afterward, which allowed her to come up with her own conclusion.

“You think the beings that send the Void eaters and maybe even Cheng are able to trace the system?”

Nodding his head, Shane looked at Kia for a short moment before he averted his head to his father once again.

“After this meeting, I will throw everyone out, and those who accept expelling the system and leaving with me are allowed to enter the Hidden Paradise.

Everyone else will be left behind, and I will use my wish directly.

I don’t know how much time we are left with, let alone how long it will take before the Creator can fulfill my wish!

There is no time for us to waste, and I have had enough of others complaining about us.

If there are people who don’t want to come with us, we should let them decide their own fate…I don’t care anymore!”

Shane was visibly frustrated about his endless attempts to make the right decision for everyone else, only to hear countless complaints of those that didn’t even move a single finger to make the best out of their situation.

Instead of complaining they could use their own hands and feet to work hard, to strive for a better world, to help the Astral Starlight faction in saving as many humans as possible, or simply do whatever they wanted.

However, that was only his wishful thinking, and the more Igra’s situation worsened, the more desperate other people were becoming.

The crime rate was rising, and the echelons of the faction had to step in, making examples out of those that raped or killed others.

As such, there had been executions in the days Shane had been unconscious, scaring everyone around.

Since Cheng had betrayed John and the others, they had been tense, and it was evident that a single wrong word or a step out of line could lead to a devastating result.

Nevertheless, Shane’s cold words caused them to look at the young man with astonishment.

It made them realise that Shane was not only the small kid they had raised with all their effort but also that he had to shoulder too much responsibility for his young age, making him far more sensible and mature than others his age.

This, however, made him turn colder because he was tired of pleasing those that didn’t even deserve it, to begin with.

Shane had even begun to ask himself why he was giving so many efforts for those humans, only to recall the helpless expressions of countless people around him- the Conquerors, Miriam, Aisha’s face, Frer, the Valkyries, his Astral Artisans, the Starlight guild, the family of every member in his faction, and everyone else who strived to become stronger.

Smiling lightly at the thought of those that worked hard, Shane’s malicious thoughts were slowly dispersing, replaced by his desire to leave Igra with everyone else in order to build a place good enough for everyone to inhabit.

They had to live to become strong enough so that they could protect themselves and others without the help of the Creator.

Shane was not sure if he would regret using his wish today, but what else could he do to save his life, and of those important to him, and everyone else.

“Please make an announcement that everyone should arrive at the beach of the Neptua Ladra region in two hours without fail!

If possible, explain everything neatly, without creating a mass panic. Afterward, everyone who has abandoned the system can join us.

By the way…In my wish, those with a connection to the system will be killed immediately…you guys can say that too even if it will cause a commotion!”

With that being said, Shane fed Umbra one last fruit before leaving the gathering hall.

He had been forced to change his attitude.

Being a hero, or a great leader was not something he wanted to be, and his patience was thinning while his efforts had long since exceeded their limitations.

As such, returning to his room, Shane was able to empty his mind for the next two hours before he took out the sapphire-colored stones as inserted mana into them.

The stone began to glow as he asked the wish that changed the destiny of countless races initiated by the fateful chain reaction that was bound to happen.
