Chapter 292- Going Back

In the Fexir Empire, the emperor had been standing alongside Yudi for an entire week without leaving, causing him to sweat profusely. He could sense Yudi's deep concern, understanding that something must have happened to Dave for him to remain away for so long.

Yudi, despite his worries, reminded himself that Dave was no ordinary individual and must have encountered significant events. He patiently waited, finding solace in the fact that the connection to his former master's domain, which Dave possessed, was still weak but intact.

As they continued their wait, the door suddenly swung open, revealing Dave and a beautiful woman standing before them.

"Master!" Yudi exclaimed excitedly, sensing a subtle change in Dave's aura. Even as a peak Imperial King, Yudi couldn't help but feel a hint of nervousness when facing Dave.

Dave smiled and apologized, saying, "Sorry for the wait."

With his eyesight now fully recovered, Dave could once again acquire a new Law, although he hadn't yet decided which one he desired.

Yudi breathed a sigh of relief and replied, "As long as you're fine, Master."

Dave then turned to the emperor and requested, "We will be staying here a little longer. I hope you'll allow us to borrow your teleportation portal."

The emperor nodded in agreement, recognizing Dave as their benefactor and pledging their support for as long as he needed.

Dave's fame had spread throughout the Illois World due to his remarkable feats, such as defeating other princes and exposing the demons' plans. The Royal Clan, having received recordings of these events, had sent plentiful resources to support Dave's cause. In addition, they had granted him a token, granting him access to the Royal Clan's library.

Dave hadn't anticipated such generosity from the Royal Clan. As a neutral force, their sole objective was to maintain peace and stability in the immortal plane. The depth of their knowledge and their reputation for attracting geniuses from other clans impressed Dave.

His plan involved visiting Alexander's domain, but before that, he needed to use the Royal Clan's portal, which connected to Alexander's domain. However, Dave decided to spend the next few days pondering his next course of action.

...

"Move faster!"

"Your movements are too slow! Prepare to endure a hundred lashes!"

"Weak! You're far from meeting my standards!"

Dave entered the treasure he had obtained from Yudi's former master, which he affectionately referred to as the floating castle. He had commanded it to take the form of a floating castle, but its size was still too small for Dave to hold.

Every time Dave entered the floating castle, he made it a point to check on Ronin's training progress. This time, as he stepped inside, he was utterly astonished by what he saw.

Gargantor, the dragonoid from the beast's world whom Dave had earned the loyalty of, exuded a powerful and intimidating aura. His image had transformed, and his body appeared stronger than ever before. But it wasn't just Gargantor—each of the other 150 individuals Ronin had selected showed the same signs of growth. Despite being covered in wounds and injuries, their expressions remained resolute, emanating a formidable killing intent.

Dave observed Ronin's serious demeanor as he relentlessly pushed the trainees to their limits, spurring them on with harsh lashes and curses. This was the first time Dave had witnessed Ronin, typically amiable, adopt such strict and severe training methods. Ronin was wholly dedicated to making them stronger, even if it meant pushing them to the brink of death.

Upon catching sight of Dave, Ronin ceased his actions and approached him with a smile. "Master, I believe they are ready to kill," he declared.

Ronin consistently emphasized their weaknesses, as he knew they were not extraordinary like the assassins he had trained in the past, who had already honed their skills to the fullest. Nonetheless, their progress had been swift, with Gargantor emerging as the most outstanding among them, possessing the greatest potential as an assassin.

Dave patted Ronin's shoulders approvingly and said, "Well done. I can see that they have grown stronger."

Ronin beamed with joy, thrilled to receive praise from his master. Ronin is now currently at Imperial Saint. Sensing Ronin's connection to his soul, Dave knew that Ronin would continue to grow stronger as long as he himself became more powerful.

To commemorate their progress, Dave decided to assign Ronin a new mission. He granted him command over the floating castle and tasked him with establishing an assassin organization that would strike fear into the hearts of others. Dave envisioned an organization that could carry out assassinations on his behalf, should the need arise.

He also informed Ronin about some of the floating castle's functions. It could consolidate various tokens that allowed individuals to hire their services, exchanging money and treasures for assassinations. Dave encouraged Ronin to spread the tokens and establish the organization, a plan that would ensure the constant accumulation of sin points as others both feared and respected the organization.

Dave allowed Ronin to assume leadership and act autonomously, intervening only when necessary. He provided him with a multitude of resources obtained through various means—extortion, gifts, and the resources Tracy had given him.

Before bidding Ronin farewell, Dave inquired about the laws Ronin had comprehended. Ronin revealed that in his prime, he had mastered hundreds of laws, but his most formidable creation was a law of assassination. This law was a combination of the law of killing and several other laws associated with taking lives.

Dave was astonished by Ronin's ability to create his own law, though he understood that it couldn't be passed down to others since it was Ronin's personal creation. Learning it would only make him inferior to Ronin, following in his footsteps.

Nevertheless, Ronin offered Dave the chance to experience his law of Slaughter. Using his ancient eyes once again, Dave willingly sacrificed his eyesight, temporarily rendering himself blind. However, this time, he was taken aback when the blindness lasted for over two weeks—twice as long as before. In return, he acquired the law of Slaughter, mastering it to the perfect stage. Despite his temporary blindness, Dave was overjoyed, realizing that he could complete the mission in a year's time by repeatedly undergoing the same process.

Dave once again witnessed changes in his status due to the newly acquired laws:

[Perfected Stage] Law of Illusion (100%): +70,000 soul power, +500,000 Intelligence

[Perfected Stage] Law of Slaughter (100%): +500,000 agility, +300,000 strength

Dave marveled at the additional bonuses he gained from comprehending a law, feeling a surge of power within him. He understood why individuals with a multitude of laws were often more powerful than others—they possessed a diverse range of abilities and advantages.

Draco also become stronger like others due to his soul connection with him. He left Draco to Ronin before entering the mysterious portal to the Fairy Realm and Draco also undergoes the training of Ronin.

He was now stronger than before and only one level below him, who was at Mid-Imperial Saint. Draco is now fiercer than before but in front of Dave, he was a little kid and always wanted to be close to him.
